Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno hosted a meeting with a delegation from Russian Biotechnological University

The meeting was held today, February 11, and its main purpose was to discuss the vectors of cooperation between the two universities.

Russian Biotechnological University (ROSBIOTECH) was presented by Natalia Murina, Vice-Rector for International Affairs, Technological Developments and Commercialization, Professor, international expert on work with the EAEU, CIS, SCO and BRICS countries Evgeny Bitus, Head of the academic department Yulia Tararova, Director of the ROSBIOTECH Institute of Industrial Safety and Management Alexey Popovich, Deputy Director of the Institute of Industrial Safety and Management ROSBIOTECH Svetlana Grineva, Head of the Department "Customs and Commodity Expertise" Tatiana Korshik, Elena Kovaleva, Head of the Department of Business Management and Service Technologies, Ekaterina Volnova, Head of the Department of Biotechnology and Bioorganic Synthesis, and Victoria Klimanova, Acting Head of the Department of International Activities.

The meeting was attended by Marina Karpickaya, Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Management, Svetlana Cheburanova, Dean of the Faculty of Law, Volha Yanchurevich, Dean of the Faculty of Biology and Ecology, Lilia Abramchik, Head of the Department of International Law, Elizaveta Uzlova, Head of the Department of Chemistry and Biotechnology, Marina Kalatsei, Head of the Educational and Methodological Department, Alena Belakoz, Head of Internationalization Education Centre, Volha Minava, Head of the International Cooperation Department, and Alesia Belko, Head of the International Projects and Academic Mobility Department.

After mutual greetings and thanks from colleagues from Russian Biotechnological University for the initiative in establishing cooperation, the parties began discussing the prospects for cooperation.

Russian Biotechnological University has received proposals to cooperate in the framework of online and other joint educational programs, including integrated learning programs, academic exchange programs for students and teachers, internships, professional retraining and advanced training, lectures under the Visiting Professor program, preparation and holding of joint conferences, seminars, symposiums, competitions with the participation of students and university staff, conducting joint research, as well as collaboration on articles, patents, and grants.

The parties expressed mutual interest in the implementation of the proposals received and came to a common agreement on their implementation.

This meeting was an important step in cooperation and will open up new opportunities for students and teachers of both universities.

For reference: Russian Biotechnological University is a higher educational institution established on the basis of the Moscow State University of Food Production. It trains specialists in the fields of bioengineering and biotechnology, food chemistry and mechanical engineering, medicine, veterinary medicine, economics, organization, quality management, safety and ecology of food production and food high-tech industries.

Since 2018, ROSBIOTECH has demonstrated steady growth in the National Ranking of Russian Universities according to the Interfax agency. In 2024, he took 110-114 place. ROSBIOTECH ranks 3rd in the International Ranking of Eurasian Universities (IAAR EUR), and 404 in the UI GreenMetric World University Ranking in 2024.

As part of its international activities, in 2023 Russian Biotechnological University established Centers for Open Education and Teaching Russian as a Foreign Language in the Republic of South Africa, the Republic of Namibia, the Republic of Zimbabwe, the Republic of Botswana, the Republic of Cuba and the Kyrgyz Republic. ROSBIOTECH has also signed cooperation and partnership agreements with universities in Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Bulgaria, Turkey, Argentina, South Korea, China, Cuba and other countries.

Let us remind you that recently, on January 9 of this year, Evgeny Bitus, Professor of ROSBIOTECH, an international expert on working with the EAEU, CIS, SCO and BRICS countries, paid a working visit to the Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno.
