Volkovysk College of Yanka Kupala State University held a teleconference with Shakhty Pedagogical College

 

On April 11, a teleconference "Virtual tour of the Museum of Decorative and Applied Arts of the teacher N.A. Mantsevich "Magic of Inspiration"" with Shakhty Pedagogical College took place.

The teleconference was held in the format of an exchange of experience on the development of museum space on the basis of educational institutions and its impact on the formation of personality and professional self-determination of students.

Methodologist of the Volkovysk College Nadezhda Lazarchyk in her welcoming speech to the participants of the meeting noted that in Belarus 2023 was declared the Year of Peace and Creation by Presidential decree, and the teacher is called to preserve and transmit the best professional experience.

College students Evgenia Vecherko and Anastasia Tereshko presented the creative works of Natalia Mantsevich, who has been working at the Volkovysk College since 1985 and has 38 years of teaching experience. Natalia Alexandrovna is a participant of the innovative project "Implementation of the model of ethnic socialization and formation of multicultural competence of the personality of students in the educational space based on Orthodox traditions and values of the Belarusian people", the head of the association of interests "Magic of creativity". The teacher has repeatedly trained graduates of regional, republican exhibitions of decorative and applied art. The collection of dress models created with the participation of Natalia Alexandrovna was presented at the regional stage of the Republican contest "ART-vacatii-2023" and awarded a diploma of the first degree. Natalia Alexandrovna was awarded the prize of the special fund of the President of the Republic of Belarus for social support of gifted students for her special contribution to the development of the abilities of gifted students and students.

At the end of the event, each of the parties expressed confidence that joint cooperation between colleges in the field of education and creativity will contribute to strengthening friendship and expanding ties between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus.

Associate Professor of the Department of International Law Andrey Bogustov spoke at the II International Scientific and Practical round table "Intellectual Property Law: the history of formation and prospects", which was held at the Faculty of Law of BSU.

The event was held in a face-to-face and remote format. Representatives of the scientific community from the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation discussed the most promising areas of intellectual property law development at the present stage. Andrey Bogustov spoke about the prospects of modernization of the model code of intellectual property. 

Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno teachers took part in the International Scientific and Practical Conference in Kazakhstan

Teachers of the Department of Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure and Criminalistics took part in the International Scientific and Practical Conference "Criminalistics and Forensic examination in modern conditions (role, significance and prospects of development)".

The event was organized by Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. The conference raised the problems of the development of criminal law, criminal procedure and criminalistic provision of counteraction to crimes, the role of evidentiary information and the limits of proof, ensuring the rights and legitimate interests of participants in criminal proceedings.

The discussion of topical issues was attended by associate professors of the department Vladimir Sorkin, Grigory Tretyakov, Irina Moiseeva and Maria Zhuk, senior lecturer of the department Valery Kozel, lecturer of the department Tatiana Kovchun and trainee teacher of the department Ekaterina Gutsko. An agreement was reached on further mutual participation in conferences, joint organization of scientific events for students.

A solemn ceremony of handing over books by the Solzhenitsyn House of the Russian Abroad as a gift to the Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno took place

Russian publishing houses have donated 300 copies of new books to the Kupala Library, including books by the Russian Way publishing House, as well as leading Russian publishing houses Nauka, Moscow University Publishing House, Iskusstvo, Vagrius, Eksmo, AST-Press Book, Zlatoust, Russian Language. Courses".

Russian literature, russian classical and modern literature, books devoted to the historical and cultural heritage of Russian emigration, dictionaries and textbooks on the russian language are numerous.

The book transfer ceremony took place in the form of a book exhibition and a meeting with guests of Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno. The Vice-Rector for Research Andrey Pronevich addressed the audience with a welcoming speech, who outlined the significant role of popularization of research activities in the formation of a young specialist.

The exhibition was opened by Elena Krivova, Candidate of Philology, Head of the Department of International and Interregional Cooperation of the Solzhenitsyn House of Russian Abroad:

"The House of the Russian Abroad is handing over books to Kupala University, one of the leading educational institutions in Belarus, for the second time. We have brought new books on the history and culture of Russia, classical and modern Russian fiction, textbooks, dictionaries. Traditionally, the House of the Russian Abroad not only gives books, but also organizes meetings of teachers and students with specialists from Russia. Russian Russian is our task to develop international academic contacts and the growth of interest in Russian culture, literature and the Russian language."

Also within the framework of the event for students of the specialty «Russian Philology» Alexander Pashkov, PhD, Head of the Department of World Literature of the Pushkin State Institute of the Russian Language, will give a lecture on the topic "A grandson listening to his grandfather and rebelling against his father: faces and generations of modern Russian literature."

Yuri Makushin, head of the «Russian cooperation» representative office in Belarus, noted that strong friendly relations between the peoples of Russia and Belarus are based on a solid foundation of our common historical and cultural heritage.

Acting Consul General of Russia in Belarus Pavel Morozov mentioned that cooperation between Russia and Belarus has a huge potential in the development of the educational sphere. According to him, such cooperation can "show the whole world the true principles of friendship and cooperation in the name of creation."

We believe that in our age of a rapid flow of information, all participants in the ceremony of donating books to the university will have time for a classic pleasant pastime with a book in their hands.

The online meeting was held with the participation of the Dean of the Faculty of Law Svetlana Cheburanova, Deputy Dean Olga Lapa, Master's student of the Faculty of Law, Chairman of the fraternity of foreign students Arslan Otuzov and 1st year student of the specialty “International Law” Haonan Zhang.

The students told about their studies and the events in which they take part, about the fellowship of foreign students of Yanka Kupala Grodno State University. A video clip prepared by foreign students was shown, as well as a presentation of three joint programs in the specialty “International Law”, a special interest was aroused by the correspondence form of education. During the meeting, the emphasis was placed on the mutual recognition of diplomas of higher education in these states.

At the end of the meeting, time was allotted for answering questions from the audience. Foreign participants were interested in tuition fees, peculiarities of the organization of the educational process, assessments and their criteria, distance education, practical training, learning foreign languages.

Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno summed up the results of the International Olympiad on the production of public catering products

The Department of Technology, Physiology and Food Hygiene of the Faculty of Biology and Ecology of the Yanka Kupala State University held a Remote Olympiad on the production of catering products among college students and catering workers.

The Olympiad brought together 87 participants from various institutions of higher and secondary special education: Almaty Technological University, Kemerovo Technical School of the Food Industry and Services, Belgorod State National Research University, College of Culinary Skills, Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University, Bukhara Institute of Engineering and Technology, Polotsk State College of Chemical Technology, Grodno State College branch technologies, Minsk State College of Cooking.

The Olympiad was held in one stage, which involved the completion of 50 tasks in a test form in two disciplines – "Cooking technology" and "Organization of production and service in public catering facilities".

According to the results of the Olympiad, all participants received certificates, and the winners were awarded diplomas of 1, 2, 3 degrees. The scientific supervisors who prepared the children for participation in the Olympiad received gratitudes.

The most active participants were Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University, Kemerovo Technical School of Food and Services Industry, Almaty Technological University.

The Olympiad is aimed at attracting talented and gifted youth, improving the professional skills and creative activity of students, students of institutions of secondary special education and catering workers, activating the research activities of young people.

Kupala students are invited to take part in the A.A. Gromyko competition of young CIS internationalists

The competition has been held since 2018 and for 5 years has brought together more than 1,600 young scientists, diplomats, representatives of public organizations and commercial structures. The competition is aimed at expanding the dialogue of young researchers and diplomats, as well as at intensifying the interaction of research and educational institutions of the CIS and the EAEU. The competition is open to students and graduates of higher education institutions, postgraduates, scientists, teachers, journalists, analysts, business professionals, representatives of public organizations, diplomats from CIS member states under 40 years of age.

Yanka Kupala StateUniversity of Grodno students became prize-winners of the international volleyball tournament dedicated to the 40th anniversary of the Higher School of Physical Culture and Sports of the Immanuel Kant Baltic Federal University

The tournament was held from March 27 to March 29 at the Immanuel Kant Baltic Federal University. Our team took the third place. Ulyana Abramovich, a 2nd-year student of the Faculty of Physical Culture of Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno, was recognized as the best player of the tournament. Congratulations to our athletes on a successful performance!

What is more, Yanka Kupala State University has a long-term successful history of cooperation with the Immanuel Kant Baltic Federal University in the scientific, educational, cultural, and sports spheres. For example, the team of Immanuel Kant Baltic Federal University has been participating in the International Volleyball Tournament among women's teams for the Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno Rector's Cup since 2016.

A meeting of the Information and Analytical Legal Center of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly was held in St. Petersburg. The meeting was attended by the Head of the Department of Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure and Criminalistics of the Faculty of Law Rimma Klyuchko.

Among a number of topics, the participants noted the problem of information and psychological security. Rimma Nikolaevna suggested that the Expert Advisory Council under the Council of the CSTO PA develop a concept that could actually reflect strategic directions in terms of ensuring information and psychological security.

– The next stage for the implementation of this Concept may be specific Recommendations. They have already been adopted and are currently being developed by the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly. For example, Recommendations on countering the rehabilitation of Nazism and the humiliation of military veterans, – said Rimma Nikolaevna.

At the meeting in St. Petersburg, experts focused on the fact that modern destructive informational influences are aimed at changing the cultural code of the nation and should be criminally punishable.
