The first two courses of the experimental joint educational program "Biology 4+0" have been completed at Qilu Normal University. Chinese students were taught by Anastasia Sakovich and Yelizaveta Uzlova, lecturers from the Faculty of Biology and Ecology.

The classes were held over three weeks, starting from March 16, in the disciplines "Methods of Laboratory Research in Botany" and "Inorganic Chemistry".

According to our lecturers, special attention was paid to the quality control of the educational process. Throughout the entire period, regular working meetings were held to monitor the progress of the courses, discuss current results, and promptly resolve emerging issues.

A key moment of professional exchange was the Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno lecturers' attendance of classes taught by their colleagues from Qilu Normal University. This allowed them to become more familiar with the features of China's higher education system, exchange pedagogical experiences, and expand approaches to organizing the educational process.

Yelizaveta Uzlova, Head of the Department of Chemistry and Biotechnology, shared her impressions of working with Chinese colleagues:

"Working with the Chinese side was enlightening. It was interesting to see the pace of the students' work and how they prepare for classes there, because it differs from how they study with us. The students we worked with were very disciplined and active. They always attended classes responsibly and completed their homework".

She also noted the high level of preparedness of Qilu Normal University in terms of receiving and accommodating foreign guests, as well as creating comfortable working conditions. The Chinese side prepared all the necessary materials for the classes and also provided assistants who helped resolve any issues.

"Particular interest was aroused by the serious attention to safety during laboratory classes. It was a challenging but very rewarding experience. We gained a lot of new knowledge from our Chinese colleagues, which we will use in our work," emphasized Yelizaveta Uzlova.
