Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno and Nizhny Novgorod State Engineering and Economic University signed a cooperation agreement

On November 27, Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno hosted a meeting with a delegation from Nizhny Novgorod State Engineering and Economic University. During the event, the rectors of the two universities signed an agreement on international cooperation.
The meeting, which was held in a mixed format, brought together key leaders of both universities. Natalia Bukhalova, Vice-rector for Educational Work, Candidate of Sociological Sciences, Associate Professor, and Natalia Ignatieva, Head of the Department for Youth Policy and International Affairs, who are also participants in the II International Scientific and Methodological Conference "Youth Policy and Education in Modern Conditions", took part in a face-to-face meeting. During the meeting, the delegation of the Nizhny Novgorod State Engineering and Economic University was introduced to Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno, its history and achievements. In response, representatives of Nizhny Novgorod State Engineering and Economic University also told their colleagues about their institution.
The main event of the meeting was the signing of an Agreement on international cooperation between the educational institution Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno and Nizhny Novgorod State Engineering and Economic University.
The signing of this agreement was a logical continuation of the actively developing cooperation between universities.

Visiting Professor from M. V. Lomonosov Moscow State University visited Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno

As part of the "Visiting Professor" program, Yuri Mazey, Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Doctor of Biological Sciences, Professor of the Department of General Ecology and Hydrobiology at the Faculty of Biology of M. V. Lomonosov Moscow State University, became a guest of Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno.
Yuri Mazey conducted a series of lectures for students of the Faculty of Biology and Ecology on the topics "From amoebae to ecosystems: diversity and the role of protozoa in nature", "From amoebae to the Anthropocene: paleoecological methods for analyzing the role of climate, fires and humans in the development of swamps". The classes were an excellent opportunity for the students of YKSUG to get acquainted with the leading expert M. V. Lomonosov Moscow State University, learn new information and deepen their knowledge.
Yuri Mazey also gave a series of lectures for the students of YKSUG on the topic "Biosphere 2.0: life on Earth, planetary crises and the search for signs of life in the universe".
During the visit, a round table meeting was held on topical issues of bolotovology. The key topic is cooperation under the SPO–Bachelor's Degree program, which provides for obtaining a diploma of secondary vocational education in China followed by a bachelor's degree in Belarus. The program is designed for 1 year and 4 months and will focus on the specialties "Mechatronics Technology" and "Computer Science and Technology". The parties also discussed the implementation of joint master's degree programs and cooperation in the scientific and educational field.
Joint training of students will be an important step in the educational cooperation between Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno and Jilin Professional Institute of Science and Technology, which will open up more opportunities for development for students of both universities.

From November 3-6, Alesia Belko, Head of the Department of International Projects and Academic Mobility at Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno, paid a working visit to Lanzhou Modern Professional College and Lanzhou City University.
The program was intense. Alesia Belko held talks with Lanzhou City University, where the parties discussed the further development of academic mobility programs for teachers and students, the development and implementation of joint scientific, scientific, technical, innovative and educational projects. A meeting was also held with the leadership of Lanzhou Modern Professional College, during which the development of partnership relations between Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno and the educational institution was discussed. Alesia Belko discussed with representatives of the UNESCO Association of Gansu Province the attraction of foreign citizens to study at the Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno.
The central event of the trip was the grand opening of the International Center for Language and Cultural Exchange and the Chinese-Belarusian Vocational Education Practice Base on November 5 at the Lanzhou Modern Vocational College. Together with Alesia Belko, 11 students of the Faculty of History, Communication and Tourism, specializing in Linguistic Support of Intercultural Communications, who are currently enrolled in Lanzhou City University, took part in the ceremony.
This visit was a significant step in strengthening relations between Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno and organizations of the People's Republic of China and promoting the university's interests abroad.

Today, on November 5, the Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics hosted a round table within the framework of the First Forum of Rectors of Institutions of Higher Education of the Republic of Belarus and the Republic of Kazakhstan. The first Vice-rector Alexandr Karevskiy took part on behalf of Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno.
The round table began with a welcoming speech from the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus and the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The participants then moved on to discuss issues of cooperation in education and science. The culmination of the meeting was the signing ceremony of international agreements between institutions of higher education of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Republic of Belarus.
Among the signed documents was also an agreement on international cooperation between Yanka Kupala Grodno State University and L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University. The subject of the agreement was cooperation between the two higher educational institutions in the field of educational and scientific activities, as well as in the use of best practices and the introduction of scientific developments in the educational process, the establishment of academic, scientific and cultural ties, the development of scientific potential and ensuring high-quality professional training based on the principles of equality, mutual benefit, mutual understanding, respect and trust.
Thus, the signing of this agreement will become a solid foundation for the dynamic development of the two universities, opening up new horizons for students and employees.

Also in 2018, a professor of the Department of Criminal Law Disciplines visited Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno to discuss the prospects for cooperation in the training of undergraduates and highly qualified scientific personnel. Gumilyov Eurasian National University visited Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno to participate in events dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the university. Also in 2023, 2 students of the Faculty of History, Communication and Tourism completed an inclusive education at the L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University during the fall semester.

Today, on November 4, the 10th meeting of the Working Commission for the Coordination of the activities of the Scientific and Educational Consortium between higher education institutions and Research Institutes of the Republic of Belarus and the Republic of Kazakhstan was held in Minsk on the basis of BNTU. Natalia Bashun, Vice-Rector for Research at Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno, took part in the meeting on behalf of Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno.
The 10th meeting of the Working Committee was opened by Sergey Kharitonchik, Rector of BNTU, coordinator of the Consortium's activities from the Belarusian side. In his speech, he noted that this meeting would give a completely different impetus to cooperation between Belarus and Kazakhstan. The Rector of the L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University, coordinator of the Consortium's activities from the Kazakh side, representatives of the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus in the Republic of Kazakhstan and representatives of the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the Republic of Belarus also delivered welcoming speeches.
During the working session, the participants summed up the results of the implementation of the Action Plan of the Scientific and Educational Consortium between Higher Education Institutions and Research Institutes of the Republic of Belarus and the Republic of Kazakhstan in 2023-2025 and discussed the issue of including new members of the Consortium -universities and research institutes.

The delegation of the People's Republic of China included Wang Ke, Rector of the Institute of Engineering Technology of Chengdu University of Technology, Xu Qiujui, Vice-rector of the Institute, Li Ren, Director of the Center for Continuing Education, Tian Di, General Secretary, Director of the Managing Committee of the Charitable Foundation for Support of Education and Development of Talented Students of the People's Republic of China, and an employee of the Charitable Foundation for Support of Education and Development of Talented Students of the People's Republic of China Ekaterina Ignatieva.

During this meeting, an international cooperation Agreement was also signed with the Institute of Engineering Technology of Chengdu University of Technology. Cooperation between Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno and the Institute continued in the framework of an online meeting, which took place on April 10, 2025. It was held to discuss current areas of cooperation: 0.3+0.7 one-year master's degree programs in law, economics, educational management, journalism, psychology, art and aesthetic education, as well as summer master's degree programs.
A lecture for students from the People's Republic of China was held at Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno

On October 30, students from the People's Republic of China attended the lecture hall "The Library's Mission in the Context of the University's Mission", organized by Grigory Tretyakov, Coordinator for Internationalization of the Faculty of Law, Associate Professor of the Department of Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure and Criminalistics, and Mikhail Pozharitsky, librarian of the first category of the Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno Scientific Library.
The purpose of the event was to introduce international students to the importance of the Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno Scientific Library in identifying, uncovering, and realizing the spiritual, intellectual, moral, and physical potential of a Person and the University as a corporate environment in the space of intercultural dialogue.
During the lecture, students from the People's Republic of China learned about the scientific, scientific-auxiliary, educational, educational-auxiliary, educational, cultural and leisure functions of the library. International students also got acquainted with the structure of the university library, its traditional and innovative working methods, rich book collection and electronic library resources. Special attention was paid to the role of the library as a modern youth environment.
The lecture hall was held on the basis of the library of the Faculty of Law, which made it possible to focus on legal scientific, educational and methodological literature, as well as legal electronic databases that are available to students.
The meeting was held in the format of an open dialogue, so the students had the opportunity to ask their questions and get comprehensive answers.
