PROJECT OBJECTIVES

To promote a qualified education in Radiation Protection and Nuclear Safety Culture (RP&NSC) in Belarus, the RADIUM partners will  

  • Map the Belarus Nuclear Safety Standards, labor market needs & educational proposals and develop a Policy Paper that take into account the EU best practices and international standards; 
  • Train the Belarus’s academic staff in Nuclear Physics & Chemistry, Radiation Protection, Nuclear Safety Culture at EU Higher Education Institutions; 
  • Design and implement the “RADIUM” Master, in line with Bologna principles, in cooperation with EU partners, accredited by the Belarus’s Ministry of Education and adopted throughout the Country; 

PROJECT OUTPUT

National policies in RP&NSC education are aligned with labor market demands and nuclear safety requirements as well as international standards and fully supported by stakeholders and national authorities.6 BY HEIs enhanced their capacity and expertise thus becoming capable to develop & deliver & promote educational programs in RP&NSC based on EU best practices and meet international standards. New curricula in RP&NSC containing modules, courses and learning materials approved by HEIs administration and supported for use in further Belarusian HEIs by Ministry of Education of Belarus.

New educational programs in the field of RP&NSC implemented at 6 BY HEIs with support of innovative teaching& learning infrastructure involving EU expertise and taking advantage from study tours to nuclear industry sector and ad hoc learning events for students.
