An Agreement of International Cooperation with Institute of World History of the Russian Academy of Sciences was signed at Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno

  

The Agreement was signed within the framework of International scientific conference «Change of paradigms in historical science: theoretical searches, research practices, new challenges». 110 researchers from scientific institutions and universities of Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus took part in the conference. The Faculty of History, Communication and Tourism of Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno and Institute of World History of the Russian Academy of Sciences jointly organized the event.

The conference was held from April 12 to 14 at Kupala University. It was opened with a plenary session, attended by Olga Vorobyeva, a leading researcher of the Institute of World History RAS, Viktor Ishchenko, Head of the Department of International Scientific Cooperation of the Institute of World History RAS, Vadim Lakiza, Director of the Institute of History of the NASB and other scientists. Mikhail Lipkin, Director of the Institute of World History of the Russian Academy of Sciences, joined the conference online.

«This event is unprecedented: no university in our country has such an Agreement. Certainly, our joint work is expressed not only in holding this conference. Now our long–term friendship is officially sealed, which contributes to even more active collaboration in various areas» noted Iryna Kiturka, welcoming the participants of the conference.

At the plenary session, scientists discussed contemporary issues, including paradigms of studying the past and their actualization and re-actualization, interdisciplinary approach to history, historiography and its history in the context of paradigm shift. The participants of the conference discussed the history, theory and methods of source studies, the relations between history and historical politics and other crucial topics.

Foreign colleagues visited Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno in order to get acquainted with the university and establish partnership in various areas

The delegation of St. Petersburg University included Vice-Rector for Digital Transformation and Information Security Vladimir Starostenko, Head of the Digital Transformation Project Office, Director of the Center of E-Learning Development Anastasiia Kovalchuk and Head of the Department of Theory and History of State and Law, Director of the Center for the Study of Information Security and Digital Transformation Professor Vladislav Arkhipov.

The delegation met with Iryna Kiturka, Rector of Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno, in an informal setting. The parties discussed possible vectors of cooperation and shared their experience in the field of digital education. Representatives of the foreign delegation expressed hope that Iryna Kiturka would visit St. Petersburg University during the celebration of its 300th anniversary.

The official part of the visit began with a welcoming speech of the First Vice-Rector of Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno Aliaksandr Kareusky. Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Leontij Pavlov, Vice-Rector for Security and Human Resources Alexey Bezzubik, Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics Alena Livak, Dean of the Physico-Technical Faculty Henadzi Hachko also took part in the meeting. The head of the educational and methodological department Marina Kolotsey has presented a detailed overview of our university’s educational opportunities.

In turn, foreign colleagues introduced the Belarusian side to the educational opportunities of
St. Petersburg University. Implementation of online courses and programs with the possibility of their placement on international online platforms and joint research activities in the field of digital transformation and information security were discussed.

By the way, Kupala University has a long history of cooperation with St. Petersburg University, which traces back to 2010, when the Agreement between our university and the Faculty of Applied Mathematics and Control Processes of St. Petersburg State University was signed.

A new round in partnership took place on March 2, 2023, when the Agreement of International Cooperation between the two universities was solemnly signed during the XV Congress of the Eurasian Association of Universities.

St. Petersburg State University actively participates in the "Visiting Professor" program and scientific conferences, accepts YKSUG’s representatives for internships. In February 2023, the women's volleyball team of St. Petersburg University took part in the IX International Volleyball Tournament among women's teams for the Yanka Kupala Rector's Cup.

Yanka Kupala University presents its innovative developments at the XIX International Forum on Information and Communication Technologies "TIBO-2023". The rector of Yanka Kupala State University Irina Kiturko, as well as graduate students and university staff visited the exhibition and the university booth.

On April 18th, the TIBO-2023 forum opened. Within four days, state organizations and private companies will present their developments and technologies at the Minsk Arena site. The exhibition features more than 260 exhibits. Within the framework of the forum, many events will be held, where specialists and ordinary citizens will discuss the results of development in the field of digitalization of Belarus among themselves.

An exposition is presented at the stand of Kupala University, which includes a laboratory facility for studying electrical and mechanical vibrations, modern automation and control systems for scientific equipment based on high-performance microcontrollers, and a bot for generating images on a text request.

All exhibits were created by the structural divisions of Yanka Kupala State University and enterprises of the University's Technopark and are presented in several categories.

Thus, exhibitors can get acquainted with the digital services and projects of the Yanka Kupala State University, which have already been implemented in the management of the university and in the educational process. Among them there are the platform "University of Educational Innovations", a digital assistant for visually impaired and blind people "Prometheus", the international network pedagogical project " The Yanka Kupala projects: innovative network educational technologies", the project "Smart Chair", as well as programs for studying the operation of a portable ground reconnaissance station and a portable anti-aircraft missile system.

TIBO is a unique platform for the exchange of best practices in the field of information technology, analysis of the best global practices of digital transformation and discussion of the prospects for the effective use of the latest technological trends in traditional sectors of the economy.

The first interaction between Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno and St. Petersburg State University took place in 2010, when the agreement between our university and the Faculty of Applied Mathematics-Management Processes of St. Petersburg State University began.

The remote international educational marathon "Kupala Projects 2023" invites you to take part in the testing of network products

Teachers, methodologists, librarians, teachers of additional education, teachers, students, students will be able to test the projects created by the participants.

The remote international educational marathon "Kupala Projects 2023" started at the Yanka Kupala State University on January 25 and will end on August 30. The marathon is aimed at training teachers and students in the technology of creating educational network projects and web quests, is conducted on the basis of the rich experience in the development of professional competencies of teachers obtained as part of the educational marathons "Kupala Projects" in 2016-2022.

The international distance training "Spring Session" is aimed at conducting public and professional expertise of network projects and web quests created by marathon participants, improving ICT competence and mastering modern interdisciplinary, including distance education, technologies. The projects will be tested in two stages: from April 26 to May 16 and from May 10 to May 30. The results of the testing will be summed up on June 1. All participants will receive electronic certificates from the organizers. Registration of participants is until April 25.

The list of projects created as part of the marathon includes the developments of teachers and students of Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno. Volkovysk College of Yanka Kupala State University held a teleconference with Shakhty Pedagogical College

 

On April 11, a teleconference "Virtual tour of the Museum of Decorative and Applied Arts of the teacher N.A. Mantsevich "Magic of Inspiration"" with Shakhty Pedagogical College took place.

The teleconference was held in the format of an exchange of experience on the development of museum space on the basis of educational institutions and its impact on the formation of personality and professional self-determination of students.

Methodologist of the Volkovysk College Nadezhda Lazarchyk in her welcoming speech to the participants of the meeting noted that in Belarus 2023 was declared the Year of Peace and Creation by Presidential decree, and the teacher is called to preserve and transmit the best professional experience.

College students Evgenia Vecherko and Anastasia Tereshko presented the creative works of Natalia Mantsevich, who has been working at the Volkovysk College since 1985 and has 38 years of teaching experience. Natalia Alexandrovna is a participant of the innovative project "Implementation of the model of ethnic socialization and formation of multicultural competence of the personality of students in the educational space based on Orthodox traditions and values of the Belarusian people", the head of the association of interests "Magic of creativity". The teacher has repeatedly trained graduates of regional, republican exhibitions of decorative and applied art. The collection of dress models created with the participation of Natalia Alexandrovna was presented at the regional stage of the Republican contest "ART-vacatii-2023" and awarded a diploma of the first degree. Natalia Alexandrovna was awarded the prize of the special fund of the President of the Republic of Belarus for social support of gifted students for her special contribution to the development of the abilities of gifted students and students.

At the end of the event, each of the parties expressed confidence that joint cooperation between colleges in the field of education and creativity will contribute to strengthening friendship and expanding ties between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus.

Associate Professor of the Department of International Law Andrey Bogustov spoke at the II International Scientific and Practical round table "Intellectual Property Law: the history of formation and prospects", which was held at the Faculty of Law of BSU.

The event was held in a face-to-face and remote format. Representatives of the scientific community from the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation discussed the most promising areas of intellectual property law development at the present stage. Andrey Bogustov spoke about the prospects of modernization of the model code of intellectual property. 

Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno teachers took part in the International Scientific and Practical Conference in Kazakhstan

Teachers of the Department of Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure and Criminalistics took part in the International Scientific and Practical Conference "Criminalistics and Forensic examination in modern conditions (role, significance and prospects of development)".

The event was organized by Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. The conference raised the problems of the development of criminal law, criminal procedure and criminalistic provision of counteraction to crimes, the role of evidentiary information and the limits of proof, ensuring the rights and legitimate interests of participants in criminal proceedings.

The discussion of topical issues was attended by associate professors of the department Vladimir Sorkin, Grigory Tretyakov, Irina Moiseeva and Maria Zhuk, senior lecturer of the department Valery Kozel, lecturer of the department Tatiana Kovchun and trainee teacher of the department Ekaterina Gutsko. An agreement was reached on further mutual participation in conferences, joint organization of scientific events for students.

Yuri Makushin, head of the «Russian cooperation» representative office in Belarus, noted that strong friendly relations between the peoples of Russia and Belarus are based on a solid foundation of our common historical and cultural heritage.

Acting Consul General of Russia in Belarus Pavel Morozov mentioned that cooperation between Russia and Belarus has a huge potential in the development of the educational sphere. According to him, such cooperation can "show the whole world the true principles of friendship and cooperation in the name of creation."
