In the action, aimed at helping medical personnel of healthcare institutions, took part members of the primary organization of the Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno “Belorussian Union of Women”.
As part of their participation in the “Support Marathon”, kupalovtsy supported the doctors of the Grodno healthcare institutions, who are now actively involved in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic.
So, the members of the primary organization transferred to the charity account membership fees for two months. Also, together with the head office of PO “BUW” of the Leninsky district and the primary organization of the “BUW” of the Grodno State Medical University, hygiene and personal protective equipment were transferred to the medical staff of the Municipal Psychological Center “Psychiatry-Narcology”.

Dear teachers, employees and students of Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno!
We ask you to pay more attention to your health and the health of others and take into account the following recommendations:
* follow all recommended personal hygiene rules (wash your hands with soap and/or hand sanitizer (preferably alcohol-based), keep your distance when communicating, minimize contact if possible, and avoid mass events)
An effective way to clean your hands in a timely manner in any situation is to use an antiseptic hand sanitizer in an individual package or disinfecting wipes. Clean hands guarantee that people will not spread viri, infecting themselves when they touch their mouths and noses, and others - through surfaces. Wash your hands as often as possible, especially after using public transport, after any visit to the street and public places, before and after eating. Wash your hands thoroughly for at least 20 seconds, not forgetting the areas between your fingers, around your nails, cuticles, and a thumb.

Organize regular wet cleaning of rooms using household detergents and/or disinfectants, with an emphasis on the treatment of all surfaces. When cleaning rooms, it is necessary to carefully treat door handles, handrails, tables, chairs, other furniture, sanitary equipment, computer keyboards and mice, other gadgets, telephones, control panels, panels of office equipment for general use and other items that people touch.
Pay attention to the processing of mobile communication devices. Clean your phone by wiping it with a microfiber cloth dampened with soap and water, especially the part that contacts with your face. There are also recommendations for treating the surface of the phone with alcohol-containing disinfectants, taking precautions against damage to the phone. Remove and clean the gadget’s case separately, and it is better to refuse to use the case. Clean the phone after each visit to public places, transport, and after the end of the working day.

The main function of the mask is a barrier delay of moisture drops that are formed when coughing and sneezing, and in which micro-organisms (viruses, bacteria, etc.) can be suspended. The algorithm for using a single-use mask.
1. Treat your hands with alcohol or wash them with soap.
2. Holding it by the drawstring or the elastic band, closely bring it to the face with the white side inward and fix the ties (rubber bands) in a position where the lower part of the face (mouth and nose) is completely covered.
3. Give the desired shape to the flexible strip (nose clip), ensuring a tight fit of the mask to the face.
4. Remove the product by holding it by the ties (elastic band) at the back, without touching the front of the mask.
5. Place the removed mask in the bag, seal it tightly and throw it in a waste container (trash bin).
6. Wash your hands with soap or treat them with alcohol.
7. If you need to put on a new mask, follow steps 1-3.

8. If you need to wear a clear mask, follow steps 1-3.
General rules for single-use and reusable masks.
Rule 1. Use the mask for no more than two hours.
Rule 2. Immediately replace the mask if it gets wet (humidified), even if less than two hours have passed since use.
Rule 3. Do not touch the attached mask with your hands.
Rule 4. Wash your hands thoroughly with soap or treat them with an alcohol-containing product after touching the mask you are using or used.

– We combine the efforts of specialties “Electronic Marketing” and “Information and Communication”, the experience of the best specialists, and create an enterprise on the basis of the Science and Technology Park, which will implement and promote technological, innovative, information solutions. The winners and prize-winners of the II Open Tourist Projects Competition “I invite you to the small motherland” were named at Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno
This year 35 teams of Grodno region educational institutions took part in the contest, which was held remotely.
The participants had to showcase the tourist attractions of their native land and draft their own project to develop the tourist attractiveness of the small motherland. The organizers note that the competitive works showed outstanding creativity and entrepreneurial skills of the participating teams.
According to the results of the competition the 1st degree diplomas were awarded to the teams “PRAVO™” from Grodno secondary school No. 27, “Kornadskaya Zvezdochka” from Kornadsky kindergarten-basic school and “Miryanochki” from Mir secondary school.
The 2nd degree diplomas were won by the teams “Mestnye Volki” from the gymnasium No. 1 of Volkovysk, “Vandrowniki” from Berdov kindergarten-secondary school, “Novoe Pokolenie” from Ditvyansk secondary school.
The 3rd degree diplomas were awarded to “Krewlyanachki” from Krevsky nursery school, “Nashchadki Vaverskaj Ziamli” from Vaverska kindergarten secondary school, and the team “Adradzhenne” from Veredomich kindergarten secondary school.

YKSUG students will participate in the development of the University's Vision for 2021-2025
The competition "University of my dreams" was announced at Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno.
Students of the first and second stages of higher education, cadets and postgraduates of the University can take part in the development of the Vision of the University. Kupalovtsy are offered to develop a project containing the Vision of the University for 2021-2025 and development priorities until 2030, as well as to justify their proposals.

A meeting with the editor-in-chief of the magazine “Youth” was held at the Yanka Kupala State University
As part of live editorial lectures in the mobile format “YouthTEAM for the whole world”, developed specifically for students of higher education institutions, a meeting was held with the editor-in-chief of the magazine “Youth” Svetlana Votinova. The event was held in the reading room of the library of the Yanka Kupala State University on March 16.
“Youth” is a monthly literary-artistic and socio-political illustrated magazine where famous Belarusian writers were published and famous figures of Belarusian literature worked. It has been published since April 1953 in the Belarusian language in Minsk.
During the meeting, students of the philological faculty and the faculty of history, communication and tourism learned about the history of the magazine's origin and development, its columns, projects, editorial work and participation in various competitions. The meeting ended with a game: Svetlana Votinova offered to pull out pieces of paper with expressions in which it was necessary to correct mistakes that are often found in the works of young authors. At the same time, prizes from “Youth” were raffled off.

Yanka Kupala State University student is among the winners of the qualifying stage of the competition “WorldSkills Belarus 2020”
Maxim Stupakevich succeeded in the tasks of the qualifying stage of the competition in professional skills in the competence “Electronics”.
The competition was held in the capital on the basis of OAO “Integral”. Participants were to perform the proposed tasks related to circuitry engineering, design of printed circuit boards and microcontroller programming.
Along with the other contestants, three Kupala students competed for the victory in the qualifying stage. These are the 3rd year students of the faculty of physics and technology of the Yanka Kupala State University, who study in the specialty “Information and measuring technology”, Denis Klyshevich, Alexey Skrebets and Maxim Stupakevich.
As a result, the Kupala student, Maxim Stupakevich, was one of the seven winners of the competition. Thus, he has received the right to participate in the final stage of the IV National Contest of Professional Skills “WorldSkills Belarus 2020”, which will be held on May 18-20 in Minsk.

Today, on March 13, the rector of the university, Irina Kiturko, answered questions from students of the faculty of history, communication and tourism and the military faculty.
Within the framework of an open dialogue, the university's student activists, together with the rector, Irina Kiturko, spoke about the qualities of a modern specialist in demand today in the labor market. Students were also interested in the rector's plans for the development of their university in the near future. Irina Fedorovna noted that it depends not only on the university management what their Alma Mater will be like in a few years, but also on the students themselves, and invited the students to share their vision of the prospects and opportunities of Kupala University.
One of the issues raised by students in the open dialogue was the Rector's ball for the best graduates held by the Yanka Kupala State University in the summer – the students expressed their wish that the event could be attended by those students whose graduation at the University falls in the winter.
During the meeting, students also asked questions about the technical equipment of buildings with modern technology. Charity event “And the world becomes more beautiful!” was held by Yanka Kupala State University’s primary organization of the Belarusian Women’s Union
The campaign was held as part of the celebration of International Women's Day. Kupala students visited convicted women in the open-type correctional institution No. 25 of the Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Grodno region. More than 30 convicted women are serving sentences of restriction of liberty there.
Members of the Kupala Women's Union and volunteers from sponsored high schools prepared a bright and colourful programme. There were songs about love to Motherland, to mother. Young volunteers from high schools in Grodno performed musical compositions on the flute, read poems about mothers.
A master class in hairdressing and makeup, which was held by representatives of the vocational College of consumer services, turned out to be creative. Several women were invited to participate, who in a few minutes received spectacular makeup and beautiful hair-do. A few training moves on the catwalk — and the image of feminine and romantic ladies was completely ready.
At the end of the programme Kupala students gave all women the flowers that were made by members of “Belarussian Women’s Union”.
Marina Karpitskaya, Chairwoman of Yanka Kupala State University primary organization of the Belarusian Women’s Union, noted that this was not the first event in this institution. The main result of such meetings is not only the formation of positive festive emotions, but also a change in the consciousness of convicted women within the legal culture, the institution of family and motherhood.
— The time spent in an open-type correctional facility allows convicted women to think about their mistakes, make certain conclusions, and our task is to help them quickly adapt to the realities of today, find a job, build a psychologically competent communication with their families after returning home, said Marina Karpitskaya. We, as organizers, see it important that many women after such meetings apply to the appropriate authorities to restore their parental rights.
As part of the primary organization of Yanka Kupala State University, “Belarussian Women’s Union” is planning to implement a comprehensive project that combines social, legal, and entrepreneurial orientation, involving teachers and students of several faculties, which will contribute to the socialization and correction of convicted women.
Construction of a new building of Science and Technology Park of Yanka Kupala State University is progressing at a fast pace
With the commissioning of the second stage of the Science and Technology Park, resident companies expect to significantly expand their capabilities.
Sergey Puzako, chief engineer of JSC "Grodnopromstroy", said that active construction work is under way at the facility since the end of last year. According to the project, approximately one million Belarusian rubles are used every month. The total cost of the object is about 13 million.
– In fact, the work has been going on for only three months, but much has already been done. We are ahead of schedule, – said Sergey Pusako. In the course of this week will be finished the heavy monolithic work. And it will be possible to deal with roofing and even finishing. We are also considering the design of the object: the facade of the building is planned to be decorated in four colors.
The total area of the new building of Science and Technology Park of Yanka Kupala State University is more than 6.5 thousand square meters. It will house both office and production facilities, open-space platforms, co-working centers, and a large conference hall equipped with all necessary hardware.
– For today, the existing areas of Science and Technology Park are no longer enough. And this fact only confirms that innovative developments in the region are in demand – - said Irina Kiturko, the rector of Yanka Kupala State University. – There are already residents who are waiting for the opening of the second stage of the Science and technology Park. The facility is scheduled to be completed in this autumn.
LLC “Classic Electro” is just one of those resident companies that are waiting for the opening of a new building of Science and Technology Park to establish start-up production. The company has been a resident of Science and Technology Park of Yanka Kupala State University for about a year and, having successfully completed the search for investment, is now starting to manufacture universal installation kits for converting existing vehicles into electric cars. Simultaneously the resident plans to develop such areas as the production of removable batteries for small vehicles, such as electric scooters.
– With the commissioning of the second stage of Science and Technology Park, we expect to get about 300 square meters for start-up production, - Sergey Zhiltsov, Director of LLC “Classic Electro”, shared his plans. – Our company's activity is focused on modernizing all existing transport in electric. When the state program for the development of electric transport in Belarus was being developed, the issue of modernizing existing transport was left without due attention. But it is possible to convert existing vehicles and use them as electric vehicles in the future. We decided to implement this idea. We don't have any competitors in this direction in the country yet. And the second direction in which our company works is the production of removable batteries for electric scooters, tricycles, and delivery services. These removable batteries will allow owners of small electric vehicles to save time spent on recharging.
The resident company of Science and Technology Park, LLC “Classic Electro”, already has customers, including from abroad: the Czech Republic, Poland and other European countries. In addition, the utilities of our Republic are also interested in the possibilities of modernizing their transport. The new production facilities that will appear with the commissioning of the second stage of Science and Technology Park will allow to satisfy all the interests of customers.
Meanwhile, the number of Science and Technology Park residents is constantly growing. So, on April 6, an agreement was signed with a new resident: the company that will provide services in the IT industry was founded by Pavel Romanets, a 2nd-year student of the faculty of mathematics and computer science at Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno. His company became the eighth resident of Science and Technology Park and the third company that was founded by students and employees of YKSUG.
-Today, Science and Technology Park, as well as Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno, is an innovative platform that allows, first of all, to turn innovative ideas of our students and teachers into business, – said Irina Kiturko, rector of Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno. – But the field of activity of the Science and technology Park is much wider. We can say that it forms the entrepreneurial and innovative ecosystem of the entire region and the entire Republic. Anyone who has an innovative idea can contact Science and Technology Park, and here they will tell you how to implement it. In addition, it is important that residents of Science and Technology Park create new jobs. For example, the resident company "Information technologies in construction", created by our students and employees, this year employs two more graduates of UKSUG.
Residents of Science and Technology Park can count not only on qualified assistance and advice from specialists in search of optimal ways to implement innovative ideas, but also on significant benefits when renting high-quality equipment, offices and production areas. By the way, the equipment in Science and Technology Park of Yanka Kupala State University is really the best in the region. Thus, professional 3D printers, which have recently been actively used to fulfill orders of industrial enterprises in the region, have been working for several days to implement an important social project. Science and Technology Park has started creating universal protective screens that will be sent to medical institutions in the region. Within the next month, all four 3D printers of Science and Technology Park of Yanka Kupala State University will print protective screens for medical professionals. The equipment will be loaded as much as possible, it is planned to print about a thousand copies in total.
