Employees of Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno discussed issues of improving the quality of teaching and learning at universities with other participants of the international technical assistance project UniTeLE

 

The next stage in the implementation of the Erasmus + project "University Teaching and Learning Enhancement" (UniTeLE) was a meeting at Nevşehir Hacı Bektaş Veli University in Turkey.

During their stay at Nevşehir Hacı Bektaş Veli University, a delegation of Belarusian Higher Education Institutions visited an English School, a university library, a sports complex, a horse farm, a city High School and a Children's Creativity Center. Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno was represented by Alesia Belko, the project manager, Head of International Projects Department and Aleh Kaliaha, the project expert, Head of the Laboratory of Educational Innovations.

For several days, the representatives of Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno and three other Belarusian universities got acquainted with peculiarities of the functioning of the education system in Turkey, training programs in pedagogical majors at Turkish universities, principles of organizing a quality management system throughout the country as a whole and at the level of Nevşehir Hacı Bektaş Veli University. They also touched on a topic of the education process transformation in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic. Turkish colleagues described the work of the Distance Learning Center at Nevşehir Hacı Bektaş Veli University. Its capabilities were used to create a distance learning infrastructure, conduct trainings for teachers, and provide technical support for online classes. Representatives of Belarusian universities were shown the capabilities of the Turkish national educational television network EBA TV, which has been broadcasting educational content for schoolchildren and students since March 2020. Teachers of the Faculty of Sports Sciences and Technologies presented their methods of online learning to colleagues from Belarus.
