Student of the Yanka Kupala State University became the silver medalist of the Final of the Professional Skills Championship “Professionals”

On 30 November the results of the finals of the Professional Skills Championship “Professionals” were summed up in St. Petersburg. A student of the Humanitarian College of the educational institution “Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno” performed well as a member of the team of the Republic of Belarus and won an award.

The closing ceremony of the Championship and awarding the winners took place in the SKA Arena Sports Palace. The event was organised by the Ministry of Education of Russia and the Government of St. Petersburg. The federal operator is the Institute for the Development of Professional Education. The events are supported by the Government of the Russian Federation.

This year representatives of 400 colleges from the Republic of Belarus, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Republic of Armenia, the People's Republic of China and the Syrian Arab Republic took part in the project. These countries were most actively represented in the finals of the Championship “Professionals”.

Belarusian competitors fought for victory in 16 competencies of the international standings of the competition programme. According to the results of the competition Maria Pilipchik, a student of the Humanitarian College of the educational institution “Yanka Kupala StateUniversity of Grodno”, got a silver medal and the 2nd place in the international competition in the competency ‘Graphic Design’. Elena Prokopchik-Belyavskaya, a teacher, acted as an expert-mentor on the site.

It should be noted that the finals of the Championship “Professionals” has organised within the framework of the All-Russian Championship Movement in Professional Skills. The movement is aimed at developing the country's human resources potential, forming a community of young specialists in key industries, using modern technologies in the vocational education and training system taking into account the current demands of employers, achieving Russia’s technological sovereignty and economic stability.
