Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno and Nizhny Novgorod State Engineering and Economic University signed a cooperation agreement

On November 27, Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno hosted a meeting with a delegation from Nizhny Novgorod State Engineering and Economic University. During the event, the rectors of the two universities signed an agreement on international cooperation.

The meeting, which was held in a mixed format, brought together key leaders of both universities. Natalia Bukhalova, Vice-rector for Educational Work, Candidate of Sociological Sciences, Associate Professor, and Natalia Ignatieva, Head of the Department for Youth Policy and International Affairs, who are also participants in the II International Scientific and Methodological Conference "Youth Policy and Education in Modern Conditions", took part in a face-to-face meeting. Rector of Nizhny Novgorod State University of Engineering and Economics Anatoly Shamin, First Vice-Rector Alexander Smirnov, Vice-Rector for Research and Innovative Development Dmitry Ganin, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Zhanna Kasimova, Vice-Rector for Informatization and Digital Development Alexey Shamin, Vice-Rector for Economics and Finance Irina Petryakova, Director of the Institute of Economics and Finance Olga Dolgova, Director of the Engineering Institute Evgeny Voronov, Dmitry Semenov, Director of the Institute of Information Technologies and Communication Systems, and Andrey Rein, Director of the Institute of Pedagogy and Additional Education.

The meeting was attended by Rector of the Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno Iryna Kiturka, First Vice-rector Alexandr Karevskiy, Vice-rector for Academic Affairs Liavontsi Paulau, Vice-rector Vyacheslav Ramanenko, Head of the research department Anton Glazev, head of the Information and Analytical Center Evgeniy Alizarovich, head of the Center for Public Relations Anna Salavyova, Head of the Center for Internationalization of Education Alena Belakoz and Volha Minava, Head of the International Cooperation Department.

During the meeting, the delegation of the Nizhny Novgorod State Engineering and Economic University was introduced to Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno, its history and achievements. In response, representatives of Nizhny Novgorod State Engineering and Economic University also told their colleagues about their institution.

The main event of the meeting was the signing of an Agreement on international cooperation between the educational institution Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno and Nizhny Novgorod State Engineering and Economic University.

The signing of this agreement was a logical continuation of the actively developing cooperation between universities.

For reference: The partnership between Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno and Nizhny Novgorod State Engineering and Economic University began on June 26, 2025, when Iryna Kiturka, Rector of the Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno, visited the Nizhny Novgorod State Engineering and Economic Institute of Food Technology and Design to discuss promising areas of cooperation within the framework of the XII Forum of Regions of Russia and Belarus.

The next step in cooperation was the visit of two employees and 10 students of Nizhny Novgorod State Engineering and Economic University to Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno on October 5-10, 2025, to participate in the Belaruskaya Strava Gistory Hospitality School, which takes place at the Faculty of Biology and Ecology.

Representatives of Nizhny Novgorod State Engineering and Economic University have already planned to participate in the creative lounge "Belarus – the crossroads of national Cultures", which will be held at Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno on December 12, 2025.

The Faculty of Biology and Ecology of Yanka Kupala Grodno State University together with Nizhny Novgorod State Engineering and Economic University have also developed a draft Roadmap for cooperation in education, science and culture for 2026-2027.
