Director of the Managing Committee of the Charitable Foundation for the Support of Education and Development of Talented Students Tien Di met with the Rector of Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno Iryna Kiturka.
This is not the first visit of Mr. Tian Di to Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno. The cooperation agreement with the Charitable Foundation for the Support of Education and Development of Talented Students was signed on February 3, 2020. At the moment, the university cooperates with the foundation in a number of areas – teaching the Russian language, training in educational programs of higher education, humanitarian exchange events dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Belarus and the PRC.
During the meeting, the participants discussed the existing results of cooperation, primarily within the framework of the implementation of master's degree programs, outlined new prospects and areas of joint work. Mr. Tian Di noted the high level of quality of education provided by the university, stressed that he personally was able to see this during his master's degree at the Yanka Kupala Estate State University. The Partner thanked Iryna Kiturka for the active participation of representatives of Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno in humanitarian exchange events dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Belarus and the People's Republic of China.
The Charitable Foundation for the Support of Education and Development of Talented Students is a public organization that was founded and approved by the Beijing Civil Administration Administration, is an organization for the implementation of projects of the Xu Teli Educational Foundation, owned by the Chinese Foundation for the Education of the Future Generation, under the administration of the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China. The Foundation, in cooperation with the Government, contributes to the scientific development of public education.
Under the leadership of the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China, the Foundation provides educational training, education support for those in need, exchanges in the field of culture and art.
Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno has successfully passed international accreditation!
By the decision of the Accreditation Council of the Independent Agency for Accreditation and Rating IAAR dated January 27, 2023, Yanka Kupala State University received international institutional accreditation for a period of 5 years and international program accreditation for 16 educational programs!
In December 2022, External expert Commissions of the Independent Accreditation and Rating Agency IAAR assessed the quality of the university's educational activities for compliance with international standards and criteria. The agency's experts conducted interviews with the management, teachers and students, employers and graduates, studied the structure of the university and the organization of the educational process. Staff of the university successfully coped and received a positive conclusion on the compliance of the Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno with the requirements of international quality standards. Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno has passed the international institutional accreditation for 5 years.
International program accreditation was obtained by Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno for 7 years in the following bachelor's degree programs: "Practical Psychology" ("Socio-pedagogical and psychological education"), "Biology (in areas)" ("Biology"), "Physics (in areas)" ("Physics"), "Jurisprudence", and also according to the master's degree program "Biochemistry".
International program accreditation was obtained by Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno for 5 years in the bachelor's degree programs "Fine Arts and Computer Graphics" ("Art Education"), "Economics and Management at the Enterprise" ("Economics and Management"), "Information Technology Software" ("Software Engineering"), "Transport Logistics(Software directions)" ("Transport logistics"), as well as in the educational programs of the master's degree "Musical Art", "Theory and methodology of teaching and upbringing" (by fields and levels of education)("Primary education"), "Economics", "Applied Physics", "Construction of buildings and Structures" ("Construction"), "Transport", "Jurisprudence".
Within the framework of international accreditation, the team conducted a thorough analysis of the university's activities and prepared a self-report in accordance with international standards for the quality of education. The qualification level of the teaching staff, the introduction of international educational practices and the well-coordinated work of the team, the success of graduates and strong business partnerships of the university have become the foundation of success.
Obtaining a certificate of international accreditation confirms the guarantees of high quality of education and services, their compliance with international requirements, increases the academic attractiveness of the university and the level of confidence on the part of the main stakeholders in the effectiveness and efficiency of the educational programs implemented.
Students of Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno took part in the "Winter School" of the Faculty of Journalism of Lomonosov Moscow State University
The International educational project "Winter School" took place at the Faculty of Journalism of Lomonosov Moscow State University from January 16 to 27, 2023. Among its participants were students of the specialty "Journalism" of the Faculty of History, Communication and Tourism of the Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno Alexander Stepanenko, Tagir Mammadov and Ilona Kostyuk.
The participation of students of the specialty "Journalism" became possible thanks to the cooperation agreement between the Faculty of Journalism of Lomonosov Moscow State University and Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno, which was concluded in October 2022.
The winter school was held in a distance format. Undergraduates from universities in Belarus, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and Armenia were trained. The educational program was focused on getting acquainted with the media system of Russia, the existing trends in the Russian media market, and implied obtaining practical skills in working in Russian-language media.
The first week included a course of lectures. Among the main topics that the students considered were the topics of journalistic culture, digital inequality and digital capital, the role of the media in Eurasian integration. The lectures also dealt with the development of television journalism, photojournalism and digital media in Russia. Virtual tours of Russia's leading media companies and meetings with their employees with the opportunity to ask questions were organized (TASS, VK, Russia Today). Online tours of the Faculty of Journalism and the main building of the Lomonosov Moscow State University were held.
The second week of the "Winter School" was a practical module. He assumed the development, implementation and protection of multimedia projects. The participants were divided into 10 international groups of 3 people. The works were evaluated by teachers of the Faculty of Journalism of Lomonosov Moscow State University.
The project of Alexander Stepanenko's team dedicated to integration processes in the post-Soviet space within the CIS was recognized as the best according to the results of the "Winter School". The authors of the project had the opportunity to undergo free of charge included training at the Faculty of Journalism of Lomonosov Moscow State University in the autumn semester of the 2023-2024 academic year.
All students who successfully mastered the school's program were awarded certificates of Lomonosov Moscow State University.

Students of the Faculty of Law were awarded diplomas of the first degree in the nomination "Legal Sciences" of the International Research Competition "Scientific Impulse - 2023".
The research paper "Decentralized autonomous organization as a new form of business organization in the digital economy was noted. The seminar of the Faculty of History, Communication and Tourism
At the methodological seminar held at the Faculty of History, Communication and Tourism on 24.01.2023, the main topic was the speech of Associate Professor of the Department of Tourism and Cultural Heritage Y. Yarmak about her experience of visiting the Anadolu University in Eskisehir (Turkey).
This university, the fourth in the world in terms of the number of students, occupies a huge complex in the north of the city. The implementation of programs at the Faculty of the Open Educational System is conducted by means of information and communication technologies.
Y. Yarmak spoke about the organization of online education, the accepted methodology for monitoring and evaluating knowledge. А number of issues related to the logistical support of teaching humanities at the Faculty of Tourism of Anadolu University, the specifics of the organization of the educational process, the distribution of the workload of the teaching staff and the accounting of working hours were considered. The Turkish educational portal was introduced. The seminar participants noted that the Turkish portal is similar in its basic principles of work with the educational portal of Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno.
The possibility of publishing in the online journal Toledo, published by the University of Anadolu, was presented at the methodological seminar. Touching upon the issue of educational work, Y. Yarmak noted that at Anadolu University this activity is divided into faculties that carry it out in certain areas: for example, the Faculty of Arts is responsible for art education, the conservatory is responsible for organizing musical events. Also, a mosque located right on the campus has a significant role in the education of students.
According to the results of the research work in the library of the Anadolu University, Yuliya Yarmak collected about 70 full-text English-language research works in the major "Tourism and Hospitality". The data obtained will be used to update the curricula at the Department of Tourism and Cultural Heritage of the University of Grodno. The participants of the seminar learned about the international cooperation programs implemented by Anadolu University. Y. Yarmak shared the contacts of her Turkish colleagues, noting the readiness of the Turkish side to cooperate with Belarusian colleagues in the field of science and culture.

Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno ranked 680th out of 1,050 educational institutions in the world by the end of 2022.
Kupala University took part in the ranking for the first time in 2021, where it took 750th place out of 956 educational institutions in the world.
The UI GreenMetric rating is an annual international ranking of universities that assesses the efforts of participants in the field of reducing environmental impact, as well as the compliance of education and research with sustainable development goals.

Student of Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno completed an internship at Lomonosov Moscow State University
2nd year undergraduate student of the Faculty of Biology and Ecology Alexey Savko from November 28 to December 25, 2022 passed a scientific internship at Lomonosov Moscow State University
The internship took place on the basis of the Laboratory of Cell Bioenergetics of the A.N. Belozersky Research Institute of Physico-Chemical Biology. Methods of working with cell cultures were mastered, experience was gained with a flow cytofluorimeter and a fluorescence microscope, and the effect of doxorubicin on cardiomyocytes was studied.

Teachers of the Department of English Philology Irina Klochko and Yulia Marmysh presented Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno at the IX International Conference on the Study of functional Aspects of Intercultural Communication and Translation.
Irina Klochko and Yulia Marmysh in the online mode, shared with their foreign colleagues the experience of using elements of such modern technologies as mixed (synchronous and asynchronous) learning, immersive learning with the creation of their own educational content by students, integrated multimodal learning in the educational process in foreign languages. The use of these technologies contributes to the variability of the design of the educational space in the conditions of digitalization.

Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno, Grodno State Medical University and Grodno State Agrarian University participated in the conference. Lanzhou University of Finance and Economics, Hexi University, Gansu University of Chinese Medicine, Gansu Agricultural University took part from the Chinese side.
The meeting was also attended by Zhang Xiaodong, a member of the party committee of the Department of Education of Gansu Province, Ruslan Abramchik, head of the Main Department of Education of the Grodno Regional Executive Committee, Roman Sokol, Counsellor of the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus in the People’s Republic of China.
Within the framework of the conference, Rector of Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno, Iryna Kiturka presented the educational potential of the university and told about its advantages and achievements.
By the way, Chinese universities are significant strategic partners for our university. Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno implements an active international policy within the framework of around 200 agreements with foreign institutions and organizations from 30 countries, including 9 organizations of the People's Republic of China, cooperation with which was established back in 2001, when the first agreement of international cooperation with the Zhongnan University of Economics and Law was signed. For that purpose, the university implements a strategy for the development of cooperation with China in the field of education, which is an integral part of the overall strategy of our university – advanced development strategy.
In September 2017, during the visit of a delegation from Gansu province to Grodno, an agreement on the support of the organization of training within the project «Russian Language School» between the Office of External Relations under the Government of Gansu province of PRC and the Committee of Economics of the Grodno Regional Executive Committee was signed.
In October 2017 and May 2018, representatives of Gansu Province have been learning Russian at Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno. In the 2017/2018 academic year, the staff of the Office of External Relations under the Government of Gansu province attended Russian language courses at the Faculty of Philology under the educational program of the first stage of higher education «Russian Philology» and at the same time received a Master's degree in International Economics. On August 3, 2018, during the visit of the delegation of Gansu Province, our university hosted the ceremonial opening of the Center for Training of Gansu Province Personnel.
