Prospects of cooperation with Shandong Xiehe University discussed at Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno

Today, on December 17, Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno hosted an online meeting with a delegation from Shandong Xiehe University. The main topic of discussion is new aspects of university cooperation.

Representatives of the International Department of the University from Shandong Xiehe University attended the meeting. The delegation included department Director Charlie Zhou, as well as department employees Claire Wang, Evan Zhu, Phoebe Zhang and Violet Zhang.

Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno was represented by Alena Belakoz, Head of the Center for Internationalization of Education, Volha Minava, Head of the Department for International Cooperation, Alesia Belko, Head of the Department for International Projects and Academic Mobility, and Wang Tao, Senior Lecturer at the Department of Translation and Intercultural Communication, translator.

After the welcoming remarks, the Chinese partners were invited to get acquainted with Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno by watching an introductory video. The parties then proceeded to discuss cooperation.

During the negotiations, representatives of Shandong Xiehe University made proposals for promising areas of cooperation. The first direction was the implementation of academic exchange projects for students and teaching staff during the academic year/semester in the fields of Medicine, Engineering, Pedagogy, and Management. The second point was voiced by cooperation in the research field, which includes joint participation in international projects, the development of research areas, the sharing of laboratory resources and the joint publication of scientific results. The third vector of cooperation concerned the organization of face-to-face and online lectures, cultural exhibitions, summer schools and other сultural events.

Holding such a meeting was an important step in strengthening the relationship between Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno and Shandong Xiehe University.
