The official presentation of the diploma of awarding the degree of candidate of Sciences to a Chinese citizen was held at Yanka Kupala State University
The national diploma of Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences and the diploma of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) were awarded to Zhang Binbin, a graduate of our University from the People's Republic of China.
Zhang Binbin studied at the postgraduate course of Kupala University in the specialty "Differential equations, dynamical systems and optimal control" under the supervision of Ivan Martynov, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Professor, Professor of the Department of mathematical analysis, differential equations and algebra. His PhD thesis on "Rational solutions of differential equations and higher-order systems" was defended during his postgraduate studies at the Council for the defense of dissertations at Yanka Kupala State University.
During his three-year study at our University, Zhang Binbin became the author of 18 scientific papers, 10 of which are presented in peer-reviewed publications included in the list of the Higher Attestation Commission for publishing the results of dissertation research. Zhang Binbin was awarded a Diploma of Yanka Kupala Grodno State University for his achievements in scientific and educational work.
Training was provided at the expense of the national budget on the basis of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Belarus and the Government of the People's Republic of China on cooperation in the field of education.
Representatives of Yanka Kupala State University discussed with colleagues current methods of teaching German in the framework of an International webinar
The webinar, organized by the Goethe Institute in Minsk, was held online on November 24.
Teachers of the Department of Romano-Germanic Philology, as well as Head of the Department Nadezhda Vlasyuk took part in the International educational and methodological webinar "Exercises, tasks, interactivity in German as a foreign language". Under the guidance of Diana Shinkarenko, a research assistant at the Goethe Institute, teachers of Kupala University were able to discuss issues related to foreign language teaching methods in German with their colleagues from Brest State AS Pushkin University. During the webinar, approaches to effective lesson planning, methodological and didactic principles of teaching a foreign language, types of exercises, differences between exercises and tasks, and other relevant aspects related to teaching methods were considered.
As a result, teachers of Yanka Kupala State University were able to share their methods and learn new technologies. In particular, they evaluated the effectiveness of interactive applications in teaching students German and noted the importance of using modern information technologies in teaching to improve the quality of the educational process.
Kupala University became the coordinator of a new project within the framework of the Poland – Belarus – Ukraine cross-border cooperation program
The project is aimed at preserving and promoting the historical and literary heritage of Elisa Ozheshko and Ludwig Zamenhof and developing cross-border tourism.
Yanka Kupala State University is implementing a new international project together with the University of Bialystok. The first meeting of the entire project working group was held online. The video conference was attended by project Manager, associate Professor of tourism and cultural heritage of Yanka Kupala State University Vitaly Kornelyuk, Head of the Department of foreign languages Svetlana Gonchar, associate Professor of Russian as a foreign language Elena Nelepko, Deputy chief accountant Svetlana Feduta, as well as representatives of Bialystok University-Professor Anna Yanitskaya and Dr. Grazhina Davidovich.
A number of events are planned within the framework of the project "Preservation of the historical and cultural heritage of Eliza Ozheshko and Ludwig Zamenhof in Grodno and Bialystok". Among them – the design of information boards and installing them in key points of the route development and publication of a tourist brochure "People, uniting cultures", presentation routes in Grodno and Bialystok, publishing scientific papers and developing the web site project. It is expected that one of the results of the project will be the creation of a new tourist route "Ways of life and creativity of Ozheshko", which will connect all the historical and culturally important places associated with the life and work of the writer on the territory of Grodno and the region. The route will be accompanied by a specially designed tour available in Belarusian, Polish and English.
Yanka Kupala State University broadens cooperation with representatives of the scientific community of Kazakhstan
As part of the "Visiting Professor" program, Doctor of Science Asel Rakhimbekova and Professor Lyazzat Sembieva visited Kupala University.
Both guests from Kazakhstan visited the Faculty of Economics and Management of Yanka Kupala State University. Asel Rakhimbekova is the Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Management of Kazakh University of Economics, Finance and International Trade. During the visit to Kupala University, she gave lectures for students of the Faculty of Economics and Management of Yanka Kupala State University on the subjects "Organization (enterprise) Economics" and "Labour Organization and Quality Management". Professor of the Department of "State audit" Lyazzat Sembieva, representative of Gumilyiov Eurasian National University, in turn, gave lectures for students and undergraduates of the specialty "World Economy", and also conducted a practical lesson on the discipline "World Trade Organization and Trade Policy".
The program of the visit also included meetings of the guests with the staff and management of the Faculty of Economics and Management of Yanka Kupala State University, during which they discussed issues of enhancing cooperation in educational, scientific and project activities between Grodno scientists and representatives of higher educational institutions of Kazakhstan, as well as issues of academic mobility of students, undergraduates and teachers.

The final of the anniversary competition "Alma mater-love from the first year" was held online for the first time. The names of the winners and prize-winners in different categories were announced live on the international student day. We remind that the main award this year is given to the team of freshmen of the Faculty of Innovative Mechanic Engineering of Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno.
Another graduation of foreign masters was held at the Faculty of Biology and Ecology of Yanka Kupala State University
Master's degrees were awarded to 18 foreign citizens from Iraq who completed their studies at the second stage of higher education at Kupala University.
All graduates are citizens of Iraq, who were awarded diplomas in the fields of "Biochemistry" and "Biology" as a result of successful defense of master's theses. Protection was held at the Department of biochemistry in the work of the State Examination Commission chaired by the lead researcher of the Institute of biochemistry of biologically active compounds, NAS of Belarus, candidate of biological Sciences Elena Sutko.
The graduation of foreign masters, which took place at the Faculty of Biology and Ecology of Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno on November 19, was the largest in number. Over the past few years, more than 40 Iraqi citizens who were studying at the second stage of higher education at Kupala University have received master's degrees. Currently, 25 more foreign citizens are studying at the Faculty of Biology and Ecology for a master's degree.
Participants of the XII International scientific Internet conference discussed improving the system of personnel training at the University
The scientific forum was held at the Military Faculty of Kupala University on November 18-19.
The online conference was attended by researchers, teachers, practitioners, doctoral students, postgraduates and undergraduates from Belarus, Russia, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, China and Latvia. During the event, pedagogical issues aimed at improving the methods of teaching disciplines in higher education institutions, developing physical culture and sports, improving ideological and educational work in universities, and Patriotic education of young people were discussed. The issues of the history of military personnel training were discussed separately. The conference proceedings were published in advance. In total, the collection includes 130 publications.
The XII international scientific Internet conference "Improving the system of personnel training in higher education: directions and technologies" was held by the Department of theory and organization of physical training of military personnel of the Military Faculty of Yanka Kupala State University. The organizers were also the Northern (Arctic) Federal University named after M. V. Lomonosov and the Higher school of psychology, pedagogy and physical culture. The event was supported by the Ministry of education of the Republic of Belarus.
Alina Lukashevich, a student of Kupala University, became one of the 50 finalists of the Gromyko competition for young international students of the CIS
A student of the Faculty of History, Communication and Tourism of Yanka Kupala State University took part in the Forum of Finalists.
A total of 285 scientific articles from 323 researchers were accepted for the Competition. The finalists were selected by a jury consisting of more than 30 experts from 6 CIS countries. The forum of finalists, which was held online on November 18-20, brought together students, undergraduates, postgraduates, young scientists and diplomats under 35 years of age from ten countries.
Alina Lukashevich, a 2nd-year student of the specialty "Sociology" at Yanka Kupala State University, made a report "The Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation: main directions, trends and scales of external labour migration". The research was carried out under the scientific supervision of Nikolay Myslivets, head of the Department of Sociology and special sociological disciplines of Yanka Kupala State University.
The program of the three-day Forum also included panel discussions on the future of Eurasian integration, the activities of young scientists and the role of the peoples of the USSR in the victory over Nazism. The Forum participants were given lectures on "General assessment of the situation in the world and Russia's foreign policy", " Stalin-Roosevelt-Churchill: the role of the leaders of the "Big three" in the fight against fascism".
The Forum of finalists of the CIS young international students Competition was organized by the Gromyko Association for foreign policy studies, the Academy of Public Administration and The Institute of Europe of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
Maximilian Dener, lecturer of the German academic exchange service, doctor of Philosophy, visited Yanka Kupala State University
As part of the educational visit of "Visiting Professor" program, the guest of honor met with students and teachers of the Department of Romano-Germanic Philology.
As part of the admission program, on November 23, Maximilian Dener gave a lecture on "Modern ways of translating specific syntactic constructions of the German language into Russian" and conducted a practical lesson on "Linguistic and Cultural translation units in intercultural communication" for students of the Faculty of Philology. The guest of honor spoke about the opportunities for training and academic exchanges of students, undergraduates and postgraduates in educational institutions in Germany, academic exchanges of employees and teachers, as well as research on the basis of educational institutions in Germany.
Students of the specialty "Romano-Germanic Philology" also participated in language testing to determine the level of foreign language proficiency.
At the end of the meeting, Maximilian Dener noted that he would like to visit Kupala University again next year for a joint Republican event.

Yanka Kupala State University invites you to take part in an open competition for the development of the University's mascot
Everyone can offer their vision of the symbol of Kupala University.
The competition is organized by the Coordinating Student Council together with the Department of Educational Work with youth. The competition is aimed at developing and strengthening the corporate culture and corporate values of the University, improving its image, and developing the creative abilities of Kupala residents.

The right of ownership and ways to protect it will be discussed by students at Yanka Kupala State University
The dialogue will take place on November 27 as part of the III international student practice-oriented round table "Property Rights and ways to protect them".
The round table participants will discuss the reform of real property law, new approaches to the definition of real estate, the legal regime of the property of the bar Association, as well as the right to own museum valuables, the right to protect intellectual property and the right to own religious organizations. The Faculty of Innovative Mechanic Engineering won the XXV University-wide competition “Alma mater-love from the first year”
The results of the amateur art competition among freshmen of Kupala University were summed up on the International student's day.
The final of the anniversary competition "Alma mater-love from the first year" was held online for the first time. Representatives of the jury evaluated the participants' performances based on video recordings, after which the results of the competition were announced live.
The winner of the XXV University-wide amateur competition among freshmen was the team of the Faculty of Innovative Mechanic Engineering. The second place was taken by the team of the Faculty of History, Communication and Tourism. And closes the top three - the team of the Faculty of Physical Education.
The best were also named in separate categories. According to the results of the competition, the Faculty of Innovative Mechanic Engineering won in the category "Best project scenario". The main award in the category "Best project direction" is awarded to the Faculty of History, Communication and Tourism. The performance of the Faculty of Economics and Management was noted in the nomination "For loyalty to traditions". "For many years of contribution to the development of the project," it was decided to award the Faculty of Philology of Yanka Kupala State University. The team of freshmen of the Faculty of Engineering and Construction was recognized as the "Breakthrough of the year". As the best vocal group of the project marked the Faculty of Biology and Ecology, best vocal ensemble of the project was the team of the Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics, as the best dance team of the Faculty of History, Communication and Tourism. The best choreographic number was prepared for the competition by freshmen of the Faculty of Law, and the team of the Faculty of Arts and Design was recognized as the winner in the category "Best original genre number".
The winners among the contest participants in personal categories were also determined. Student of the Faculty of Engineering and Construction Dmitry Vasyukevich became the winner in the nomination "The main attraction", student of the Faculty of Innovative Mechanic Engineering Nikita Nichipor – in the nomination "Best male role", the student of Faculty of Physical Education Nikita Lukashov – in the category "Best male role of the second plan", student of the Faculty of Pedagogy Ksenia Laguta – in the category "Best female role of the second plan" and a cadet of the Military Faculty of Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno Dmitry Ksiongik was marked as the best vocalist of the project.
