Defense of the diploma projects in form of fashion show of clothes and accessories to be held at the Faculty of Arts and Design of YKSUG
The defense to be held on June 19th, 2017 in the main building of Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno (22 Ozheshko str., room 218).
Students of the specialty “Design (costume and fabrics) will defend their projects during the show.

On 7th March online-voting for Mister and Miss Univerisyt-2017 was opened. Voting is only available for students and staff of YKSUG after signing in.
The festival of beauty and manliness, elegance and charisma, grace and artistry takes place on 23rd March, 2017 at the concert hall of Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno.

Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno invites to the XI International Scientific Conference "TechnoIMAGE’2017. Innovations in education"
XI International Scientific Conference "TechnoIMAGE’2017" will be held on March 14-15, 2017 at Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno.
The activity of the scientific forum will be organized in the following areas:
- Methodological, theoretical and scientific-methodological problems of innovation and education;
- The implementation of innovation of education in the activities of educational institutions of various types and in the education system of the Republic of Belarus in general;
- Problems of different innovations combination in education: theory, models, conditions, and experiences;
- The problem of diagnostics of students’ identity development in innovative education.

Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno invites students to take part in the X International Information Technology Olympiad "IT-Planet 2016/17"
Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics of YKSUG received the official status of a participant in the X International Information Technology Olympiad "IT-Planet 2016/17".
Participants may be students and young graduates aged up to 26 years inclusive, residing in any country of the world.
Participation in the competition is free of charge, the official language is Russian.

Competitions this academic year will be held in the following categories: "Programming", "Mobile platforms", "Telecom", "Cloud computing and databases"," Free software and robotics," "Digital creativity" and "Automated information systems".
The best participants will be invited to practice with opportunity of further employment from partners of the competition.
General partner and sponsor of IT contest this year is the Russian company "AT Consulting". Partners and organizers of the anniversary Olympics, are such companies as 1C, Cisco, Huawei, Intel, InterSystems, Oracle, "Kontur", "Linuxcenter", "Contextplus" and representatives of the info-communication technologies market.
The competition will be held during the academic year in several stages:
1) 1st qualifying round (online test) from 1 to 25 December, 2016;
2) 1st selection phase (submission) – from 1 December, 2016 to 20 March, 2017;
3) 2nd qualifying stage (solution of the practical cases) – from 1 to 20 March, 2017;
4) international final – 26-29 May, 2017 (Sochi).
BIT Scholarship for International Students
from Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno
2017-2018
Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT) is offering two kinds of scholarship to Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno.
- Three CSC (China Scholarship Council) Scholarship for students to pursue Master or PhD degree program at BIT.
- Five BIT Exchange Scholarship for exchange students to study in BIT for one or two semesters for the academic year 2017-2018.
The CSC scholarship covers the tuition fee, accommodation, comprehensive medical insurance and the monthly living allowance (CNY 3,000 for masters and CNY 3,500 for PhDs). The international air fare is not covered. The scholarship will be offered to the students during their stay at Beijing Institute of Technology for the period of the Master programs (2 years) and PhD programs (4 years).
The BIT Exchange Scholarship covers tuition fee and accommodation on campus. The scholarship will be offered to the students during their stay in Beijing Institute of Technology for the period of the exchange program. Exchange students to BIT can study in the regular degree programs conducted in English or Chinese, they are also welcomed to study in our Chinese language study programs. The scholarship will be offered to the from undergraduate, master and PhD level from YKSUG, except the first year undergraduate students. The exchange program extends from one semester to two semesters in the academic program or Chinese language program.
After receiving the nomination letter Beijing Institute of Technology will contact the applicants in person and inform them of the application procedures.

International training camp Moscow ACM ICPC Workshops series will be held in Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno
Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno together with MISIS and MIPT will hold "International training camp for problem-solving of programming competitions" under the patronage of Moscow ACM ICPC Workshops" from 15 to 24 August 2016.
Classes will be conducted in two divisions: A and B. In each division there will be organized 4 thematic days and 4 days of team contest.
The program includes, among others, the following topics:
- number theory;
- Fourier transform;
- persistent segment tree;
- combinatorics and dynamic programming.
Classes are conducted by coaches from MISIS, MIPT and YKSUG.
To participate in the training please fill the registration form.
The registration fee for participation in the training is 660 BYN per participant.
The fee includes, among others, payment for food, accommodation and cultural program during the weekend.

Russian language Summer School starts in YKSUG
Russian Language Summer School will be held at Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno for three weeks - from the 1st till 21st of August.
Russian Language Summer School is organized by the Department of Russian as a foreign language and linguistic disciplines of the Faculty of Pre-University Training.
The summer school is created for foreign students who want to know the Russian language at a decent level, and wish to get acquainted with traditional and modern culture of Belarus.
The training program was developed taking into account immersion of international students into Russian language environment. In addition to regular classroom with experienced teachers of Russian as a foreign language, the students of the school will visit the most interesting historical sites, not only in Grodno, but in Belarus; they will meet with local craftsmen, who will give master classes on folk art; and will take an active part in the interactive program of the Slavic martial arts club "Aridan". In their spare time, guests will have the opportunity to communicate with Russian students-volunteers, to visit cinema or theater, galleries and exhibitions, to see the sights of the city.
The traditional elective course “Russian Karaoke” was developed in the framework of the School for those students who want to improve their pronunciation, to accelerate the speech tempo and to practice Russian songs.
The training will be provided for groups of 6-8 persons, formed depending on the level of knowledge of the Russian language.
On completing of the course students will receive a certificate of the participant of the Russian Language Summer School in YKSUG.

11th International scientific and practical conference “Actual Problems of Ecology-2016” will take place in YKSUG
Faculty of Biology and Ecology of Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno holds 11th International scientific and practical conference “Actual Problems of Ecology-2016” will take place in YKSUG (05 October 2016) on 5-7 October, 2016.
Scientific meeting is oriented on discussing of cardinal directions of contemporary ecology development.
The conference is opened for students, master students, graduate students as well, as specialists, who work in different fields of ecology.
Meeting will work in certain directions:
- - efficient use and security of vegetable world;
- - efficient use and security of animal world;
- - ecological biochemistry, physiology and medicine;
- - efficient use of water resources and wastewater cleaning;
- - rational use of soil and atmosphere resources;
- - utilization and recovery of solid waste;
- - ecological education and enlightening for sustainable development.
Working languages: Russian, Belarusian, Polish and English.

On 20-21 October, 2016, on the Faculty of Arts and Design of Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno the 8th International scientific and practical conference “Actual Problems of World Artistic Culture. In Memoriam U. D. Rosenfeld” will take place.
The conference is open for Master students, graduate students and lecturers of higer education institutions.
Conference is divided into the next topics:

“The Sixth Studio” theatre performs at YKSUG (05 July 2016)
A theatre performance “Behind closed wall”, based on the same play by J.-P. Sartre, will take place in Concert hall of Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno (Lenina, 32) on 05 July, 2016.
Actors of the theatre – students form different faculties of YKSUG.

A contest for receiving individual fellowship for the researchers from YKSUG within the Marie Skłodowska Curie programme.
A contest for receiving individual fellowship for the researchers from YKSUG within the Marie Skłodowska Curie programme, which runs with the financial support of the European Commission within the programme for support of research and innovations Horizon2020. It is possible to participate in it for the researchers from Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno.
Individual fellowship within the Marie Skłodowska Curie programme:
- - is aimed to support perspective researchers from any country around the world with advanced level of English and recommendable research experience;
- is available for the researchers, coming in Europe or the ones who move within European territory;
- may help researchers restore their careers after a break.
To participate in the Marie Skłodowska Curie Individual Fellowship, a researcher should:
- - be employed by a host organization;
- have corresponding experience, meaning obtain an academic degree, or, at least have 4 years of equivalent research experience.
Duration of fellowship: 12-24 months. Grant provides covering expenses for living, transportation and family expenses.
To participate in programme, a researcher should find a scientific supervisor (potential host organization in EU/AU) and present a proposal in the research topic. The application is being made jointly by the host organization (university, research center) and the researcher. The application is being sent by the chosen scientific supervisor.
Individual fellowship is being provided on the ground of an open competition and transparent, undependable evaluation, based on certain pre-defined criteria, stated in working programme.
