Kupala students have completed their studies in Uzbekistan

Students of the Faculty of Law were trained at the Tashkent State Law University as part of academic mobility.

In the spring semester of the 2022-2023 academic year, third-year students of the specialty "International Law" of the Faculty of Law Maria Bystrova, Eulalia Berezkina, Maria Shcherbakova and Daria Prepest studied at the Faculty of Comparative Law and International Law at TSLU.

The training took place on the basis of a cooperation agreement between Kupala University and Tashkent State Law University within the framework of academic mobility.

In addition to training, Kupala residents conducted active scientific and social activities. The students took part in the International Scientific and Practical Conference "Copyright Protection in Social Networks", which was held on the basis of TSLU together with the Moscow State Law Academy named after O.E. Kutafin, as well as in the meeting of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights F. The Turk.

Together with other foreign students, the girls took part in an excursion along the Tashkent-Samarkand route, during which they expanded their knowledge of the history of the formation of Uzbekistan, and also learned about the traditions of the Uzbek people.

– The time spent in the walls of Tashkent State University has become for me one of the brightest periods in student life. Thanks to the experience and knowledge gained as part of the experience exchange program, I now know for sure that I have chosen for myself exactly the specialty in which I want to become a competent specialist. During the cultural exchange within the framework of the Novruz holiday, students of Kupala University introduced students from Uzbekistan to the history of Yanka Kupala Grodno State University and presented the specialties in which training is carried out at our university.

Kupala students became participants of the International Youth Search Forum "Battle of Rzhev

Students of the Yanka Kupala State University among the members of the Belarusian delegation took an active part in the International Youth Search Forum "Battle of Rzhev".

The Rzhevskaya Battle International Youth Search Forum is an educational and educational project implemented in the format of two specialized field shifts for representatives of youth aged 18 to 25 years who are not involved in civil and patriotic education activities from the subjects of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus in the number of 500 people.

Kupala University was represented by students of the Faculty of History, Communication and Tourism Maxim Chugunov and Alina Lunevskaya, students of the Faculty of Law Olga Chulada and Alyona Kanaeva, student of the Faculty of Economics and Management Danila Orshak.

The Forum provides a platform for young people from different countries who can exchange knowledge, experience and ideas in the field of historical research. The Youth Search Forum promotes the formation of a correct civic position among young people based on respect for history. Among the forum's tasks: organization of practice-oriented events on the study of the history of the Great Patriotic War, exchange of best practices in the field of volunteerism and experience in organizing events aimed at preserving the common history, traditions, cultural values of the "Russian World", creation of a community of youth leaders, strengthening youth diplomacy.

The project included the reconstruction of a field camp on the site of real battles in 1942 - 1943, the organization of search expeditions to the battlefields of the "Battle of Rzhev" with the participation of specialists involved, the military-historical reconstructions of the "Battle of the village of Kokoshkino" using authentic uniforms and exact copies of weapons of the war years, military sports team games "Rzhevsky Soldier", conducting youth seminars, game workshops, interactive lectures from specialists from the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus in the field of history, youth leadership, diplomacy, volunteerism.

− I didn't expect it to be so cool! Various thematic events were prepared for us − military medical training, search trips, reconstruction of the battle near the village of Kokoshkino, airsoft, various sports events. I liked the initial military training the most − I tested my strength and endurance. I am very grateful to the organizers of the forum and the BRSM for the opportunity," said Alyona Kanaeva, a law student.

The student told that on the last day of the forum she took part in the action "Memory Tape". At the Rzhev Memorial, the participants unfurled a majestic St. George

ribbon 300 meters long. The Belarusian delegation laid flowers at the monument to the fallen heroes of the Great Patriotic War. The girl was left under a vivid impression of the complex of events and will gladly take part in the forum next year.

Cooperation between Belarus and Russia in the field of history has great potential for development. This can help expand our knowledge of the past, strengthen cultural ties and develop tourism and education. It is important to continue to maintain dialogue between the two countries in this area in order to achieve mutual benefit and progress.

Yanka Kupala State University students have completed their studies in Hungary

The students of the Faculty of Economics and Management returned to their alma mater after studying during the academic year under the academic mobility program in Hungary.

According to the results of the competitive selection, 3rd-year students of the specialty "World Economy" Polina Filipchuk and Kristina Lapitskaya were sent to study in the 2022/2023 academic year in the city of Gyor, St. Stephen's University under the program "Stipendium Hungaricum".

The girls were enrolled as students of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in the specialty "International Relations". Their chosen program of study in International Relations (Bachelor's degree) is an interdisciplinary and flexible program of study in English, which combines a wide range of courses in international relations, history, politics and world economy. In addition, this program helps students analyze complex issues and present arguments in a clear and concise form, which helped students to expand their communication skills.

During their studies, Polina and Kristina studied "World Economy", "International Economic Law", "Negotiation", "Intercultural Communication", "Academic Writing", "Methods of Social Research" and a number of other disciplines.

In accordance with the conditions of the Stipendium Hungaricum program, the students attended the course "Hungarian language and Culture", which allowed them to find understanding when communicating with local residents and deepen their knowledge about the history, traditional dishes and holidays of Hungary. Thus, the university organized mentoring groups for incoming students, which included students from various countries and one Hungarian representative. With the help of a native-speaking student, adaptation to new living conditions and learning a foreign language took place in an easier and more comfortable atmosphere. Within the framework of the subject "Hungarian language and culture", various interactive events, movie evenings, as well as excursions were held. Thanks to this, the girls passed the oral and written exams in the Hungarian language with "excellent".

Students of the Faculty of Economics and Management during their studies at St. Stephen's University took an active part in various scientific and educational events, open lectures and seminars. According to Polina Filipchuk, she was impressed by the meetings with representatives of the diplomatic corps and visiting professors, where students learned about the directions and trends in the development of international relations and their impact on the economy.

During the educational process, our students managed to attend events dedicated to Hungarian culture and traditions. They attended an evening of traditional Hungarian

cuisine, where they acquired skills in making one of the most famous Hungarian dishes "Gulyás". An excursion program around the city of Gyor was organized for all students enrolled in the academic mobility program. The evening of visiting the Hungarian State Opera House left vivid impressions.

– This year will undoubtedly be imprinted in our memory. We have gained valuable experience, gained new knowledge necessary for professional growth. The training was filled with adventures and travels, knowledge of a new culture and the acquisition of new friends, – shared Kristina Lapitskaya. We advise all our friends and students to boldly use the huge opportunities provided by the Faculty of Economics and Management and Kupala University in terms of participation in academic mobility programs.

Kupala students are practicing at the cultural center "Festival"

As part of the practice, students of the Faculty of History, Communication and Tourism took part in the reception of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Brazil to the Republic of Belarus Bernard Georg Leopold de Garcia Klingle at the Cultural Center "Festival".

At the end of the academic year, the 1st year students of the specialty "Linguistic support of intercultural communications" on the basis of the Cultural Center "Festival" had an introductory practice in intercultural communication. The internship program is designed for two weeks, but during the first one, young trainees managed to fully touch the specifics of their future profession.

Students participated in the organization and holding of the reception of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Brazil to the Republic of Belarus Bernard Georg Leopold de Garcia Klingle at the Cultural Center "Festival", held a discussion platform "Intercultural Dialogue", and also prepared theatrical performances and quizzes dedicated to different cultures of the world, as part of the reporting event "Art without Borders".

For assistance in organizing the exhibition and receiving the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federative Republic of Brazil to the Republic of Belarus Bernard Georg Leopold de Garcia Klingle at the Festival Cultural Center, 22 1st-year students of the specialty "Linguistic support of intercultural communications" were awarded the gratitude of the Embassy of the Federative Republic of Brazil in the Republic of Belarus.

A representative of Kupala University took part in the Youth Forum of the Russian Federation "UTRO – 2023"

The district Forum was held in Chelyabinsk from 24 to 29 June. The event brought together students, teachers and mentors from 30 Russian regions, as well as from the Republic of Belarus and Kazakhstan.

In 2023, the annual forum was held in the Chelyabinsk region on the basis of the Sunny Valley ski resort. The participants were 500 people aged 18 to 35 years. Kupala University was presented by Karina Burlakova, a 3rd-year student of the Faculty of History, Communication and Tourism.

The UTRO Youth Forum is an educational youth platform where participants gain additional knowledge and competencies, develop and present social projects.

The forum consisted of six educational thematic blocks: "Teachers and mentors", "Team of the First (RDDM), "Culturalist", "Media Creators of the Urals", "Good people" (volunteerism and SO NPOs), "Youth and Tourism".

Karina Burlakova took part in the panel discussion "What result is needed by the region, the country", the approach to work in the information space of youth organizations was studied. Kupalovets became part of the interactive lecture "Exploring the topic: how to identify and justify the problem of media products?" and many other events. Karina also held a master class "On the same wave" to widely inform about the scientific, educational, social, cultural and historical potential of the Yanka Kupala State University.

Almost 300 foreign Kupalov students received diplomas of completion of the second stage of higher education

In the 2022-2023 academic year, about 400 foreign citizens are studying in the master's program of Yanka Kupala State university of Grodno in various specialties. To date, 295 people have received master's degrees, almost all of them were full-time students. Among them - 279 citizens of the People's Republic of China, 10 - from Iraq, 5 people - from Turkmenistan.

So, at the Faculty of Physics and Technology, a master's degree was awarded to an Iraqi citizen, a graduate of the master's program in the specialty "Applied Physics". Abdullah Ayad Meraviy Abdullah completed the full course of the second stage of higher education and successfully defended his master's thesis with a mark of ten. Boris Assanovich, Associate Professor of the Department of Information Systems and Technologies, was his supervisor for two years.

Dean of the Faculty of Physics and Technology Gennady Gachko solemnly presented the diploma of the master to Ayad. After the presentation, Master Abdullah Ayad Meraviy Abdullah received well-deserved congratulations from his friends who came to support him.

Teachers of the Tashkent State Law University completed an internship at the Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno

From June 12 to June 25, citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan underwent an internship at the Faculty of Law at Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno.

Representatives of the Tashkent State Law University attended lectures on the disciplines "Theoretical and legal problems of qualification of crimes", "Actual problems of labor and social law", got acquainted with the plan of scientific events held at the Faculty of Law, worked in the library of the Faculty of Law. The program participants got acquainted with the areas of activity of the Department of Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure and Forensic Science, the Department of Civil Law and Process, and also received advice from the leading teachers of the faculty on topical issues of criminology, forensics, problems of labor and social law.

As part of the internship program, a round table was held on the topic "Perspective areas of cooperation between universities of the Republic of Belarus and the Republic of Uzbekistan in the field of training legal personnel." The round table was attended by representatives of the Tashkent State Law University - Shukhratjon Ismoilov, Head of the Department of Labor Law, Doctor of Law and Bakhtiyorjon Khamidov, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Criminalistics and Forensic Science, as well as teachers of the Faculty of Law of Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno. The meetings discussed the prospects for cooperation in various areas: digital forensics, cyberlaw, joint research in social and labor law, participation in funded scientific projects, development of legal clinical education.

During the internship, representatives of the partner university visited the Museum of History and Development of the Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno. Following the results of the scientific internship, the Dean of the Faculty of Law, Svetlana Cheburanova, presented Bakhtiyorzhon Khamidov and Shukhratjon Ismoilov with certificates of successful completion of the internship.

Yanka Kupala State University’s Volunteer Center took part in the X Forum of Regions of Russia and Belarus

On June 27, within the framework of the X Forum of the Regions of Russia and Belarus, a section "Volunteer movement as a factor in strengthening Russian-Belarusian cooperation. New opportunities for social initiatives" with the support of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus.

The meeting was attended by 8 volunteer centers of higher educational institutions of the country − Belarusian State University, Maksim Tank Belarusian State Pedagogical University, Belarusian National Technical University, Brest State A.S. Pushkin University, Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno , Francisk Skorina Gomel State University Mogilev State A. Kuleshov University, Vitebsk State University named after P.M. Masherov.

During the session of the section, the Minister of Labor and Social Protection Irina Kostevich made a keynote speech on the topic "Silver Volunteering" – a social initiative within the framework of the National Strategy of Active Longevity." Larisa Olenskaya, Chairman of the Council of Senior Citizens at the Vitebsk City Executive Committee, participant of the republican meeting of the Council of Senior Citizens, acted as a co-speaker on the topic of "silver" volunteering.

Representatives of the Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno Volunteer Center took part in the conference in an online format.

It is worth noting that the volunteer movement is an important factor in strengthening Russian-Belarusian cooperation. Volunteers from Russia and Belarus work together on various projects aimed at supporting social and cultural initiatives, environmental programs, and helping those in need. The volunteer movement promotes the strengthening of friendly relations between Russia and Belarus, helps to establish contacts between people from different countries and cultures.

New Horizons: Yanka Kupala State State University was visited by a delegation of Gansu Province on a working visit

Today, Yanka Kupala Grodno State University hosted a meeting with a delegation from Gansu Province from the People's Republic of China.

It is worth noting that 16 years ago the Grodno Region and Gansu Province of the People's Republic of China established twinning relations. The new program provides for deepening mutual ties and working out areas where bilateral relations will be established and trade turnover between the regions will increase.

The delegation included representatives of the Agricultural Vocational Institute of Gansu Province, the Wuwei Vocational Institute of Gansu Province, the Construction Vocational Institute of Gansu Province, the Industrial Vocational Institute of Gansu Province, the Tianshui Pedagogical Institute of Gansu Province.

During the meeting, issues of cooperation between educational institutions of Gansu Province and Kupala University were discussed, where the parties determined the vector of further development of interuniversity cooperation.

First Vice-Rector Alexander Karevsky noted that cooperation in the field of science and education between the two countries has great potential and can bring a lot of benefits for both sides. Special attention was paid to the issues of joint training of masters in various fields. Also, the participants of the meeting were presented the scientific and educational experience and potential of Kupala University, the possibilities of studying undergraduate and graduate educational programs, postgraduate studies, as well as opportunities to participate in scientific and educational events were presented.

Representatives of the People's Republic of China expressed their interest in cooperation with the Yanka Kupala State University in the field of scientific research. In turn, representatives of the university expressed their willingness to cooperate and stressed that Grodno State University is always open to new partners and projects.
