On November 8, a meeting between Vice-Rector Farrukh Begidjon and the administration of Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno within the framework of discussing prospective fields of cooperation was held.
The meeting was attended by Vice-Rector for International Relations of Tajik State Pedagogical University named after Sadriddin Aini Khudoydodzoda Farrukh Begidjon, Rector of Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno Iryna Kiturka, First Vice-Rector Alexander Karevsky, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Yury Bialykh, Vice-Rector for Research Andrey Pranevich, Vice-Rector for Educational Affairs Vasiliy Sianko, as well as Dean of the Faculty of History, Communication and Tourism Viktar Belazarovich, Dean of the Faculty of Pedagogy Yury Hniazdouski, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Philology Alena Yasiukevich, Dean of the Faculty of Psychology Volha Mitrafanava.
In a welcoming speech Iryna Kiturka, Rector of Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno, noted that Vice-Rector for International Relations of Tajik State Pedagogical University named after Sadriddin Aini Khudoydodzoda Farrukh Begidjon is making a return visit. Less than a month ago, the President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko and the Minister of Education Andrei Ivanets visited Dushanbe. The delegation also included representatives of Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno headed by the Rector. During that visit, an Agreement of International Cooperation was signed. Then Iryna Kiturka introduced the guest to the history and structure of our university.

«These are academic exchanges, participation in joint scientific projects and international scientific conferences, implementation of joint educational programs and organization of advanced training courses, including the foundation of the Belarusian Language and Culture Center at Tajik State Pedagogical University named after Sadriddin Aini,» Farrukh Begidjon said.
Yury Bialykh, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno, highlighted the need of creation of a cooperation program that will become the basis for the development of bilateral relations. He also mentioned the existing opportunities for the development of cooperation between the faculties of our universities.
Andrey Pranevich, Vice-Rector for Research, outlined a number of cooperation areas in the field of scientific activity, including the possibility of organization and participation in international scientific conferences for students and staff, the possibility of publishing research results in the peer-reviewed journal "Vesnik of Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno", cooperation within dissertation defense committees, joint training of scientists, as well as implementation of scientific projects.
Iryna Kiturka, Rector of Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno, summed up the meeting. Traditionally, the event ended with a group photo for memory.

Rector of Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno Iryna Kiturka warmly welcomed the delegation of the Embassy, comprising of the First Secretary Abdullayev Azimjon Aliyevich and the First Secretary-consul Vakhabov Hajiakbar Juratovich.
In March 2022 Azimjon Aliyevich and Hajiakbar Juratovich visited university for the first time and took part in the V Open Festival "Novruz Bayram". During the current visit, the delegation got acquainted with the Scientific Library of Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno, presenting a collection of literature to its fund. Then the guests met with Uzbek students studying at Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno and Grodno State Agrarian University.
After the conversation with the youth, the guests were given a tour of the Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics, during which they were able to get acquainted with its potential, equipment and facilities.
Undoubtedly, the visit further strengthened the ties between our university and organizations of the Republic of Uzbekistan and outlined new ways of interaction. Currently, Yanka Kupala State State University of Grodno cooperates with universities of the Republic of Uzbekistan within the framework of 13 International Cooperation Agreements and 8 Agreements on the implementation of 23 joint educational programs.

Meetings are held in the city of Addis Ababa in order to establish cooperation with foreign organizations and educational institutions.

Addressing the participants of the plenary part of the event, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Republic of Kenya and the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia Pavel Vziatkin spoke about the potential and prospects of bilateral economic cooperation, noted the need to intensify contacts between chambers of commerce and business circles of the two countries.
During the business visit, Yuri Belykh held talks with representatives of recruiting companies and other interested organizations in order to establish contacts and attract foreign citizens to study at our University.

Undergraduates from China take courses at Yanka Kupala State University
17 undergraduates from China are taking educational courses to improve the professional competencies of the master.
This course is designed to help undergraduates successfully defend their master's theses. Classes are designed for two months. During this time, foreign students will improve their competencies in two disciplines: "Philosophy. Professional skills of the researcher" and "Foreign language (English)".
Undergraduates study at various faculties: Pedagogical, Philological Faculty, Faculty of Economics and Management, Faculty of History of Communication and Tourism and Faculty of Psychology.
Upon completion of the courses, undergraduates will gain useful knowledge that will undoubtedly help them in defending their master's theses, as well as increase their competitiveness in the labor market.
Yanka Kupala State State University hosted the International Summer School of Economic Scientists "SCIENNOMIS – 2022"
The school worked on the basis of the Faculty of Economics and Management last week. The students have mastered an intensive course in econometric analysis, modeling and forecasting. Students and teachers from the Irkutsk State University, the Russian University of Transport, as well as from the Kyrgyz National University joined the classes.
Classes at the school were held in a mixed online and offline format. Teachers of the Department of Mathematical and Information Support of Economic Systems conducted lectures for students, trainings and master classes on such topics of econometric analysis as modeling and forecasting of economic data using Microsoft Excel, as well as using other software packages.
During the summer school, special attention was paid to methods of econometric and statistical analysis of data on the socio-economic development of regions, including methods of spatial econometrics for analyzing the state of regional labor markets, methods of ranking and classification of regions of the Republic of Belarus by indicators of small and medium-sized enterprises.
At a meeting with the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Management, Marina Karpitskaya, the school participants discussed current problems of modeling socio-economic phenomena in the context of digitalization, as well as areas for further cooperation.
The teachers of Yanka Kupala State University took part in the II International Scientific and Practical Conference "Methods of teaching of foreign languages 2.0: real and virtual"
The conference was organized by the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation (Moscow).
Irina Klochko, the senior lecturer of the Department of English Philology, and Yulia Marmysh, the lecturer of the Department of English Philology, made a report "Education after the pandemic: adapting to the generation Z and corresponding to the generation Alpha", in which they shared their experience in creating a digital learning environment for the generation Z students and forecasts for the development of interactive personalized programs and teaching methods for representatives of the generation Alpha.
The conference program was designed for two days, during which plenary sessions were held, thematic sections worked, master classes were organized by teachers of Moscow and regional universities of Russia and Belarus.
The conference events were held in a full-time format: the work of online sections was broadcast using the Jazz by Sber platform, and master classes were held using the Microsoft Teams platform.
The participation of representatives of Kupala University caused a warm response from the organizers of the conference. An invitation was received from the organizing Committee of the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation to expand interuniversity contacts and establish permanent cooperation and interaction.
Professor from Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno completed a fellowship program in Yerevan State University
Associate Professor of Department of Russian Philology Zoya Sidorovich completed a fellowship program at the Department of Russian Linguistics in Erevan State University. The fellowship was part of the “Education and Youth Policy” state program for 2021-2025.
As a result of the fellowship, new methods of teaching philological disciplines in verbal and cogitative aspects, including interactive technologies, project method, distance learning, communicative learning, were mastered.
Professor specifics of organization of the educational process in Erevan State University and viewed some teaching materials of Faculty of Russian Philology. Zoya Sidorovich received advice and got experience from Head of the Department of Russian Linguistics, Typology and Communication Theory, Doctor of Philology, Professor Lilit Brutyan, who is one of the leading Armenian scholars in the sphere of cross-cultural communication, philosophy of language, speech act theory, argumentation theory, non-verbal semiotics and gender studies.
Besides, there were a few successful meetings with the Dean of Faculty of Russian Philology Pavel Balayan and teaching stuff of the faculty.
There was also a meeting with the Director of the Ijevan Campus of Erevan State University Anushavan Makaryan. During the meeting further cooperation and project activities, new forms of examination sessions and interactive forms of education were discussed.
The fellowship program improved scientific networking and helped to establish international cooperation between Armenia and Belarus.
Professor from Yanka Kupala State University attended a fellowship program in Uzbekistan
Dean of Faculty of Law, Associate Professor of the Department of Theory and History of State and Law Svetlana Cheburanova attended a fellowship program in the Human Rights and State Law Department of Faculty of Law at Karakalpak State University. The fellowship program was part of the “Education and Youth Policy” state program for 2021-2025.
Svetlana Cheburanova learnt about specifics of organization of the educational process in Karakalpak State University and viewed some teaching materials. She also received advice from Doctor of Laws, Professor Karlygash Umarova, who is one of the leading scholars in the sphere of law. Svetlana took part in a scientific and practical conference with a research on the topic “Development of civil society: theoretical framework”.
Professor also took part in the International Scientific and Practical Conference “The role of Karakalpak State University in scientific and educational development”, which was dedicated to 45th anniversary of the university. Rector of Yanka Kupala State University Iryna Kiturka congratulated Rector of Karakalpak State University Ahmed Reimov.
Svetlana Cheburanova met students of 1st and 2nd years of Faculty of Law. As a result of the fellowship program, new methods of teaching legal disciplines in historical and theoretical aspects were mastered.
Besides, there were a few meetings with Dean of Faculty of Law, Doctor of Law, Professor Elizaveta Kutybaeva and teaching staff of Faculty of Law. During the meetings further cooperation and project activities as well as new forms of online training were discussed.
