From May 23 to May 25, Yulia Ermak, Head of the Department of Universal and Slavic History at the Faculty of History, Communication and Tourism of Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno, took part in the International Partner Days of the Higher School of Economics in St. Petersburg.

The HSE has become a platform bringing together representatives of university communities from 15 countries – Belarus, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, China, India, Colombia, Mexico, Brazil, South Africa, France, Uzbekistan and others.

Yulia Ermak delivered an open lecture on "Agrotourism and Ecotourism in Belarus – development experience" and presented Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno. At the stand of Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno, HSE students were interested in academic mobility programs, "summer schools", and master's degree conditions. Representatives of the academic community discussed possible areas of joint scientific and project activities. Colleagues from the HSE Department of History spoke about the existing joint "mirror" laboratories, shared the experience of student scientific circles.

As part of the cooperation agreement, a delegation from the International Institute of Economics and Linguistics of Irkutsk State University visited Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno.

Oleg Arkhipkin, Director of the International Institute of Economics and Linguistics of the ISU, Maria Plotnikova, Head of the Department of Socio-Economic and Mathematical Disciplines of MIEL, as well as partners from universities in Russia and the Republic of Uzbekistan took part in the International Scientific Seminar “Economic development of regions and the formation of an effective mechanism for import substitution under sanctions pressure (industry aspect)”.

Dean Marina Karpitskaya made a welcoming speech at a round table with the participation of students of the Faculty of Economics and Management. Presentations were made by representatives of Irkutsk State University, Tashkent State Transport University, the Russian University of Transport and teachers of the Faculty of Economics and Management. There was also a presentation of a collective monograph under the general editorship of Oleg Arkhipkin, Director of MIEL IGU, and Marina Karpitskaya, Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Management.

The delegation discussed new academic opportunities for joint training of specialists in advanced higher education and scientific cooperation, visited historical sights of Grodno region.

Igor Martynenko, Head of the Department of Civil Law and Procedure, made a plenary report at the VII International Scientific and Practical Conference "Problems of interaction between public and private Law in the regulation of economic relations". This event was organized by the Ural State University of Economics in Yekaterinburg.

The topic of Professor Igor Martynenko's plenary report was an important legal aspect: "Legal protection of historical truth and memory in the common cultural heritage." In his speech, the professor shared his knowledge and experience in the field of legal protection of historical memory, discussed topical issues and challenges faced by modern society.

During his visit to Yekaterinburg, Professor Igor Martynenko also held a meeting with students of the USUE Institute of State, Municipal Management and Law. During this meeting, the participants discussed issues related to the legal protection of business entities in modern conditions. Students have received valuable knowledge and practical recommendations from an experienced specialist, which will help them in their future professional activities.

YKSUG residents take part in the III International Youth Environmental Education Forum of the Union State

Students of the Faculty of Biology and Ecology Ksenia Shakun and Gleb Shilko, accompanied by their supervisor, Associate Professor of the Department of Ecology Olga Kremleva, take part in the lll International Youth Environmental Educational Forum of the Union State on the basis of the Belarusian State Technological University.

The delegation has already managed to get acquainted with the activities of the Forestry Faculty and specialized departments of the University. In the future, kupalovites will have a rich program! This is a presentation of their environmental strategies, practical work, and master classes. The forum participants will also be able to get acquainted with the environmental educational and scientific programs of BSTU, communicate with leading scientists of the university, get acquainted with their peers from other Belarusian and Russian universities. The forum is attended by 40 representatives of 13 universities of Belarus and Russia.

A special feature of the forum is its holding on the territory of a natural object – the Negorelsky Educational and Experimental forestry, which is part of the university and is a unique educational, practical and research center.

The cultural and educational program of the forum includes holding a competition for the title of “Best Hunter” on the basis of the NUOLH electronic shooting range, visiting the Museum of the Great Patriotic War as part of the Minsk − Hero City tour, and a number of other events.

Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno has signed a cooperation agreement with Qingdao College of Preschool Education

The signing of an agreement between Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno and Qingdao College of Preschool Education on the implementation of a joint project in the specialty "Preschool Education" took place during the visit of the Kupala delegation to the People's Republic of China.

The signing of this agreement represents an important step in the development of educational cooperation between educational institutions. It opens up new opportunities for students and teachers of YKSUG and Qingdao College of Preschool Education, facilitating the exchange of experience and knowledge in the field of preschool pedagogy.

The joint project will be aimed at developing educational programs, conducting joint research and exchanging students and teachers between the university and the college. The concluded agreement confirms the desire of the parties to cooperate. It also reflects the high assessment of the quality of education provided by Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno by foreign partners.

Already in April, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Liavontsi Paulau, Dean of the Faculty of Pedagogy Yuri Gnezdovsky and Deputy Head of the Department of International Projects and Academic Mobility Alesia Belko paid a working visit to the partner college. During the visit, an agreement was signed on the implementation of an educational program of higher education in a shortened period for Chinese citizens in the specialty "Preschool Education" at the Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno.

The delegation of Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno headed by Rector Iryna Kiturka is in China on a working visit. The delegation also included Liavontsi Paulau, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, and Wang Tao, Senior Lecturer at the Department of Translation and Intercultural Communication.

An important part of the working trip was a visit of Iryna Kiturka to the Forum of the Chinese-Belarusian Association of Universities – 2024, which is being held at the Dalian Polytechnic University. The forum was opened by Minister of Education of the Republic of Belarus Andrei Ivanets and Deputy Minister of Education of the People's Republic of China Chen Jie. Iryna Kiturka made a presentation on the topic «Design and implementation of regional partnership: experience and prospects of cooperation between Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno and educational institutions of the People's Republic of China».

Following the results of the Forum of the Chinese-Belarusian Association of Universities, 30 negotiations were held with the participation of 60 universities, 12 agreements on cooperation between universities of Belarus and China were signed, as well as a plan for the implementation of flagship projects for 2024-2025.

By the way, today there are more than 700 agreements and agreements on cooperation between higher education institutions of the two countries. This was stated by Minister of Education of the Republic of Belarus Andrei Ivanets at a meeting of the Chinese-Belarusian Association of Universities

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to the Republic of Belarus Xie Xiaoyong visited Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno

A delegation of the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in the Republic of Belarus headed by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to the Republic of Belarus Xie Xiaoyong is visiting Grodno. The main purpose of the visit was the development of interregional and trade and economic ties, innovative cooperation, and the establishment of relations in the field of culture and tourism. During the visit, the Ambassador visited Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno and have a conversation with Chinesse students who study at our university.

Cooperation between the Grodno region and the provinces of China has been developing for many years. The Grodno Region has signed agreements on interregional cooperation with two regions of the People's Republic of China. The first one was signed in 2007 with Gansu Province. Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno contributes to the development of relations between the two countries and actively establishes ties with educational institutions of the People's Republic of China. Now, YKSUG is implementing more than two dozen agreements on international cooperation with universities and colleges of the People's Republic of China.

Xie Xiaoyong visited Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno for the first time, and according to good tradition, a tour of the university was conducted for the guest. The first vice-rector of the Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno invited the distinguished guest to a meeting with Kupala residents, who directly provide the educational process to Chinese students. During the conversation, Alexandr Karevskiy spoke about the scientific and educational potential of the university, about the most significant achievements, and assured that all foreign students feel at home and receive not only high-quality knowledge. They are surrounded by warmth and care, enriched spiritually and culturally.

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to the Republic of Belarus noted that he had visited many educational institutions in various countries, but YKSUG found something to surprise him with:

– The gallery of rectors is a common object of pride for universities, but I have never seen such a gallery of professors as yours. She speaks about your respect and reverent attitude towards the teachers and the history of the university. It is nice to know that our students study at a university that has so many achievements, as well as actively cooperates with educational institutions in China. It is especially symbolic that now your rector Iryna Kiturka is in China on a working visit.

After the meeting, Xie Xiaoyong met with Chinese students who shared their impressions of studying at Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno and asked their questions.

In addition, the rector of Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno is scheduled to participate in the II Forum of Higher Education Institutions of Belarus and China, where Iryna Kiturka will make a presentation on the topic «Development of the space of intercultural dialogue as a social mission of a modern university» as part of the participation in the section «Dialogue of Civilizations».
