Rector of Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno took part in the III meeting of the Belarusian-Chinese Association of Universities

On October 14, Minsk hosted the third meeting of the Belarusian-Chinese Association of Universities, which became an important stage for strengthening ties between educational institutions of the two countries.

During the meeting, Iryna Kiturka made a presentation on "Mechanisms for the development of regional partnership: the experience of cooperation between Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno and educational institutions of the People's Republic of China", sharing success in establishing ties and emphasizing the importance of strategic partnership and exchange of experience.

The results of the association's activities were summed up, key areas of cooperation were discussed and prospects for the next year were identified. In addition, it was planned to sign 13 cooperation agreements between the Chinese and Belarusian sides, which indicates the desire to further strengthen partnership in the field of higher education.

The key event was the signing of a joint declaration on deepening cooperation in the development of higher education between Belarus and China.

Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno is represented in the Moscow International Ranking of Institutions of Higher Education "Three University Missions" (MosIUR) in 2025

This year, the ranking includes 14 universities from the Republic of Belarus. Yanka Kupala Grodno State University took the place 1751-2000.

The Moscow International Ranking of Institutions of Higher Education "Three University Missions" (MosIUR) is an academic ranking that evaluates three key university missions: education, science and interaction with society.

In 2025, it includes 2,000 universities from 112 countries. The leadership has been held by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) for the second year, which displaced Harvard University from the first place in 2024. Harvard is followed by British universities – Oxford and Cambridge. The fifth place belongs to Stanford University. The composition of the top 20 has hardly changed over the past three years.

Rector of Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno met with students from the Republic of Uzbekistan as part of a Joint Educational Program

On October 13, Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno hosted a meeting between Rector Iryna Kiturka and students of the Law Enforcement Academy of the Republic of Uzbekistan studying in the framework of a Joint Educational Program specializing in Law.

During the conversation, Iryna Kiturka told the residents about the opportunities that the university provides, and also urged students to be active during their studies.

Students enrolled in this program spend the first two years of their studies at YKSUG, gaining basic theoretical knowledge and practical skills in the field of law. Then they will continue their studies at the Law Enforcement Academy of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Such international cooperation allows students to better understand the legal system of their country and adapt to its peculiarities.

This meeting became an important stage in the implementation of the Joint Educational Program, which allows students to gain unique experience and knowledge in the field of law.

For reference: The Law Enforcement Academy of the Republic of Uzbekistan was established on November 28 on the basis of the Academy of the Prosecutor General's Office. The main purpose of the Academy is to train qualified personnel in the field of crime investigation, introduce advanced standards and information technologies into this field, organize an effective system of training, retraining and advanced training of employees, as well as conduct scientific research.

Cooperation between the Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno and the Law Enforcement Academy of the Republic of Uzbekistan began with the visit of the Academy's delegation to YKSUG on April 21-26, 2025. During the meeting on April 25, an agreement on cooperation between universities was signed. On May 21, an agreement was signed on the implementation of a joint educational program in the specialty "Jurisprudence", and in September 2025, the first enrollment in this program took place, which amounted to 29 students.

Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno strengthen international cooperation in the field of education and science

A representative of the Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno took part in the International Exhibition in Ashgabat and held talks with foreign partners.

On October 10-12, the collective exposition of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus was presented at the International Exhibition and Scientific Conference "Healthcare, Education and Sports in the Renaissance of a new Era of a powerful state" in Ashgabat.

Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno was presented by Alena Belakoz, Head of the Internationalization Education Centre. Within the framework of the event, Alena Belakoz held a number of meetings and negotiations with colleagues from Korea, Malaysia, Russia, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan aimed at strengthening international cooperation in the field of education and science. During the talks, Alena Belakoz presented the educational opportunities of the Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno, spoke about new programs and promising areas of cooperation.

Professor from the People's Republic of China visited Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno

From October 4 to 11, as part of the Visiting Professor program, the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science of Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno hosted Professor Ren Zhilei of Dalian Polytechnic University (PRC), PhD in Mathematics, Professor of the School of Computer Science and Engineering.

During the visit, the professor gave lectures on the disciplines of "System Programming" and "Software Engineering" to students of the 2-3 course of the specialty "Software Engineering". The lectures covered the full cycle of modern software development with an emphasis on automation and the use of artificial intelligence tools. Students delved into such leading areas of software engineering as search-based engineering (SBSE) and repository data analysis (MSR) and the application of large language models (LLM) to help programmers. In practical classes, Ren Zhilei showed how these methods are used to automatically find and fix errors in compilers and assembly systems.

The professor held a scientific seminar for the teaching staff, where he spoke about his research in the field of developing automated error detection methods in compilers, the most fundamental development tools. He also shared the results of research on the development of automated testing methods for the Gazebo robot simulator, a fundamental tool in robotics.

The round table "Scientific research and projects of the School of Computer Science and Engineering of Dalian Polytechnic University" was also held within the framework of the meeting, which was attended by the faculty and students of the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science. The professor held meetings with representatives of the Center for Internationalization of Education, the head of the research department, Anton Glazev, and the head of the Technology Transfer Center, Elena Opekun. The meetings discussed the possibilities of cooperation in the fields of education and science, as well as options for financing projects of Belarusian-Chinese research teams.

A separate meeting was organized for students from China studying at YKSUG under an experimental training program specializing in Information Technology Software. They discussed with the professor the topics of their theses and received consultations on diploma design.

The visit resulted in agreements on maintaining cooperation with the School of Computer Science and Engineering of Dalian Polytechnic University, searching for common scientific interests and those interested in active scientific cooperation.

Employee of YKSUG took part in a meeting of the Expert Advisory Council

The meeting was held on October 6 in St. Petersburg at the headquarters of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly. Rimma Klyuchko, Head of the Department of Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure and Criminalistics at Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno, took part in the event.

The meeting participants discussed the implementation of the current Program of the Assembly's activities for the convergence and harmonization of the national legislation of the CSTO member states for 2021-2025 and the draft for the next five years.

161 events were proposed in the draft of the new Program. Among the proposals were recommendations on improving the criminal legislation of the CSTO member states in the field of countering the use of information and communication technologies for criminal purposes, the CSTO model law "On the Basics of operational Investigative activities", recommendations on the harmonization of national legislation of the Organization's member states regulating the training and use of national peacekeeping contingents.

The Council members also discussed the Assembly's work plan for 2026 and the action plan for the 20th anniversary of the formation of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly.

The next meeting is scheduled for March-April 2026.

Kupalovets participated in the XXXVIII Congress of the Eurasian Association of Trade Union Organizations of Universities

On September 25-27, the XXXVIII Congress of the Eurasian Association of Trade Union Organizations of Universities was held in the hero city of Volgograd. 71 representatives from institutions of Belarus, Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan, Armenia and other countries took part in the event. Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno was represented by Anna Sazonova, chairman of the primary trade union organization of workers.

The theme of the congress is "The importance of Victory in the Great Patriotic War in shaping the socio-cultural environment of modern universities." The congress program included plenary sessions and thematic presentations of significant public projects and events, as well as thematic conferences. Among the issues discussed are: preserving the historical memory of the events and results of the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945, the tasks and opportunities of university trade union organizations to create a comfortable atmosphere among students and employees. The speakers shared their experience in organizing projects dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. One of the key points was the discussion of the issues of the formation of socio–cultural values uniting the collectives of the member universities of the EATUOU.

At the end of the congress, a memorial sign was unveiled in the memorial complex "To the Heroes of the Battle of Stalingrad", and the participants of the event laid flowers on Mamayev Kurgan.

Meeting with the delegation of the Republic of Crimea was held at the YKSU

The event was held on September 26.

The delegation of the Republic of Crimea arrived, headed by Mikhail Solomentsev, First Deputy Permanent Representative of the Republic of Crimea to the President of the Russian Federation.

On the part of Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno, the meeting was attended by Natalia Bashun, Vice-Rector for Research, Vasiliy Sianko, Vice-Rector for Ideological and Educational Affairs, Alexey Bezzubik, Vice-Rector for Security and Human Resources, Yuri Gnezdovskiy, Dean of the Faculty of Pedagogy, Evgeniy Matuk, Deputy Dean of the Physico-Technical Faculty, Dmitry Linnik, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Andrey Pronevich, Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics, Anton Glazev, Head of the Research department, and Anna Miloshevskaya, Acting Head of the International Cooperation Department.

During the meeting, the guests were introduced to YKSUG and discussed the development of promising areas of mutually beneficial interuniversity cooperation.

For reference: The Crimean Engineering and Pedagogical University was founded in 1993 and is one of the most sought-after universities in Russia. The university's structure includes the Scientific Research Institute of Crimean Tatar Philology, History and Culture of the ethnic groups of Crimea and the Engineering and Pedagogical College.

The delegation of the Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno opens new horizons of cooperation with China

On September 25, the delegation of Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno, headed by Rector Iryna Kiturka, actively got acquainted with educational institutions and scientific centers in China.

The program of the day was productive. At the beginning, the delegation of Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno visited the SCO Exhibition Center, where they got acquainted with the latest achievements in the field of education, science and technology. Then the delegation visited the Qingdao Pedagogical Special School of Preschool Education. During the negotiations with his leadership, the parties discussed issues of developing cooperation in the field of preschool education.

The key event of the visit was a meeting on the joint educational project (JEP) "Preschool Education". During the meeting, the participants exchanged experiences and ideas, and outlined the steps for the implementation of the project. Then the residents of YKSUG were given a tour of the new campus of Qingdao Pedagogical Special College, demonstrating its infrastructure and learning conditions.

The highlight of the day was the solemn opening ceremony of the JEP project "Preschool Education", which will be an important step in the development of educational programs and improving the quality of training specialists.

The delegation of Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno is on an official visit to higher educational institutions of the People's Republic of China

On September 24, Iryna Kiturka, Rector of Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno, and Liavontsi Paulau, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, visited Qilu Pedagogical University in the People's Republic of China.

During the visit, the delegation of the Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno held constructive talks with the leadership of the Qilu Pedagogical University. The key moment of the meeting was the solemn opening ceremony of the joint educational program "Biology", designed to train highly qualified specialists in the field of biological sciences.

In addition, YKSUG residents got acquainted with the educational and material base of the faculties of the Qilu Pedagogical University, which will allow them to adopt the best practices in organizing the educational process and scientific research.

Within the framework of the visit, it is planned to visit the SCO Exhibition Center, as well as the Qingdao Pedagogical Special School of Preschool Education, where the opening ceremony of the joint educational program project (JEP) project "Preschool Education" will take place. The trip will end with a visit to the Shandong Professional Institute of Higher Trade.

The visit of the delegation of the Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno to the People's Republic of China is an important step in strengthening Belarusian-Chinese educational ties and opens up new prospects for the development of international cooperation in the field of education.
