The International Forum was held in Minsk last week and brought together young people from Belarus, Russia, Armenia, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.
Vera Martynova, a 3rd-year student of the Faculty of Law of Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno, was also among the participants of the forum. Representatives of young people from five countries of the Eurasian Economic Union gathered in Minsk, who discussed new options for cooperation between the states for several days.
The program included lectures, seminars, discussions and master classes dedicated to the search and discussion of new ideas, as well as the ways to solve socio-economic and political problems. It was possible to join the forum online.
The forum in Minsk has become one of the educational events implemented within the framework of the international project in the field of public diplomacy "Points of Growth".

Summer school of the Russian language will start working at Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno next week

Foreign citizens from Poland, Germany, Italy, Sweden, and China will come to study Russian at Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno.
Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno gathers a group of students from different countries every summer who are motivated to learn Russian and want to get to know culture of Russian-speaking countries more closely. This year, Summer School of the Russian Language will work from August 1 to 14 both in full-time format and online.
During the two-week course, Summer School students will receive not only classes in the Russian language, but also lectures in history and culture of Belarus, sightseeing tours of the city, walks through picturesque places and forest-park areas will be organized. In addition, foreign citizens who come to study the language will be introduced to Belarusian cinema, as well as invited to a language cafe and a master class on traditional folk art.

Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno fulfilled the plan of admission to the budget form of education

On July 26, the reception of documents for higher education at the expense of the republican budget was completed at Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno. 2,408 applicants apply for 1,095 budget places.

In total, in 2021, Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno is recruiting in 54 specialties. The recruitment plan is 2,328 places, of which 1,095 are on a budget form, which is 35 places more than in 2020, and 1,205 are on a paid basis, which is 103 places less than last year.
Currently, the most popular specialties of the full-time budget form of education among applicants are "Design (virtual environment; costume and fabrics; graphic)"; "Linguistic support for intercultural communications"; a group of specialties "International law", "Jurisprudence", "Economic Law"; "Fine arts and computer graphics".
A high competition among applicants entering the correspondence budget form of education is observed in the following specialties: "Fine Arts and computer graphics"; "Transport logistics (road transport)"; "Finance and credit"; "Economics and management at the enterprise" in a shortened period of education.
Of all the applicants who have submitted documents to Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno, 41 have the opportunity to become students without entrance tests, 28 enter out of competition.
Among the future students of our university are the winners of various stages of the republican Olympiads and the Olympiads of Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno, as well as 129 applicants who graduated from educational institutions with a diploma with honors, a gold or silver medal.
409 applicants have a total score of 300 or higher, 73 applicants have completed preparatory courses of the Faculty of pre-university training.
Not only applicants from Grodno and Grodno region, but also from other regions of Belarus submitted documents to Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno (603). Thus, Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno receives students from Minsk (154), Brest (261), Vitebsk (39), Gomel (91) and Mogilev (58) regions. According to the results of the competition among young professionals from the countries of the Eurasian space, Anastasia Maleevskaya took the 3rd place in the category "Graphic Design".

The project "Development of a mobile educational portal" won the competition for the provision of grants for the implementation of research and innovation projects in 2021. The author of the project is a student team under the scientific guidance of Andrei Urbanovich, senior lecturer of the Department of System Programming and Computer Security. The project will also involve a resident of the Science and Technology Park of Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno, private unitary enterprise "Romanets Enterprises", created by a student of the University.
