Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno took part in a thematic exposition «Education in Belarus» in the Republic of India

On November 17-19, 2022 Volha Minava, head of the International Relations Office presented educational possibilities of Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno on the thematic exposition «EducationinBelarus» within the framework of 17th Summit of higher education – 2022 in New Deli.

In order to discuss current areas of cooperation with Indian higher education institutions, representatives of Belarusian universities visited the University of New Delhi. With support from the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus in the Republic of India they held talks with the staff of the University of Chandigarh, Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology and recruiting agencies.

As part of the participation in the collective exhibition, contacts with the WORLD1 Group Company, Shobhit Institute of Engineering and Technology, Sandip Institute of Engineering and Management, Bennett University, Aarupadai Veedu Institute of Technology, as well as Ivanovo State University (Russia) and Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies (Uzbekistan) have been established.  

In order to attract foreign citizens to study at YKSUG, throughout the exhibition the work on informing and consulting potential applicants and their parents, representatives of foreign organizations, recruiting agencies about educational opportunities of Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno was carried out.

Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno held a scientific seminar “Current trends in sustainable development of economy and education in Belarus and Russia”

The Faculty of Economics and Management held a series of events with representatives of Irkutsk State University, which was the first stage of academic cooperation.

The scientific seminar "Current trends in sustainable development of economy and education in Belarus and Russia" was held on October 5, 2022 during which the development trends of Belarusian-Russian integration, opportunities and risks of digital transformation in business and higher education were discussed.

The scientific seminar was attended by a delegation from the International Institute of Economics and Linguistics of the Irkutsk State University, as a part of Deputy Director for Research - Plotnikova Maria Mikhailovna; Head of the Department of Socio-Economic and Mathematical Disciplines - Shilnikova Irina Sergeevna; Deputy Director for Educational and Methodological Work, Head Department of European Languages - Kolodina Evgenia Anatolyevna, Deputy Director for International Affairs, Head of the Department of Linguistics and Linguodidactics.

The problems of the scientific seminar were conditioned by realization of decisions taken in June 2022, when on the basis of Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno the meeting of the section № 5 on "Higher Education System Integration in Russia and Belarus: Regional Aspect" was held within the IX Forum of Belarusian and Russian Regions.

Presentations were made by representatives of a number of other Russian, Kazakh and Belarusian universities, including Lomonosov Moscow State University, Plekhanov Russian University of Economics, Don State Technical University Esil University (in ICT regime). Cooperation agreements with these Russian universities were signed with Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno at the IV Forum of the Association of Russian and Belarusian Universities in June 2022. During the visit, cooperation issues were identified both in the educational process and in scientific activities, such as inclusive education, summer schools, student conferences. During summarizing the results of the scientific seminar the solemn signing of the international program of cooperation between the partner universities was held.

An agreement was reached to implement the program of cooperation on academic mobility of teachers, students and masters.

Issues of methodological support of the educational process in the integration of academic programs of the college and high school were discussed with representatives of Lida College.

In the schedule of the visit there was time for a cultural and excursion program, during which guests got acquainted with the historical heritage of the Yanka Kuala State University and the sights of our city.

The event was held in online form on November, 17.

Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno was represented by Rector, Iryna Kiturka; First Vice-Rector, Aliaksandr Kareusky; Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Yury Bialykh; Vice-Rector for Research, Andrey Pranevich; Vice-Rector for Human Resources and Security, Alexey Bezzubik; Vice-Rector, Nikalai Voitka; Head of the Education Internalization Centre, Alena Belakoz, as well as Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Management, Marina Karpickaya and Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Construction, Alla Volick. The translation was carried out by the senior lecturer of the Department of Foreign Languages Olga Perkova.

Prof. Janitha Abeywickrem Liyanage, H. E. the Ambassador, Prof. Ranjana W. Seneviratne, Vice Chancellor of the Gampaha Wickramarachchi University of Indigenous Medicine, Prof. A. Rameez, Vice Chancellor of the South-Eastern University addressed the audience with a welcoming speech.

Rector of Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno, Iryna Kiturka also welcomed all participants of the meeting. She thanked the Embassy of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka to the Russian Federation for organizing the second meeting with Sri Lankan universities, for the opportunity to establish new contacts and determine fields of cooperation between universities.

«Today's meeting is taking place within the framework of the project «University without borders». Our university has concluded more than 200 agreements of international cooperation. Today, students from 36 countries study at Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno. Openness to the world is an important strategic direction for the development of our university. Information and communication technologies expand the range of joint activities that can be implemented within the framework of cooperation,» Irina Kiturka noted.

A video in English about Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno, its history, structure and possibilities was shown to the guests.

Cooperation proposals from Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno were presented by Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Yuri Belykh, Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Management, Marina Karpitskaya and Dean of the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Alla Volik.

During the online meeting, the guests were able to get acquainted with the Gampaha Wickramarachchi University of Indigenous Medicine and South-Eastern University.

A meeting with Vice-Rector for International Cooperation from Urgench State University was held at Ynaka Kupala State University of Grodno

Vice-Rector for International Cooperation of Urgench State University, Gayrat Urazboev visited Ynaka Kupala State University of Grodno with the aim of discussing prospective cooperation fields.

The meeting took place in a cooperative and productive environment, as both sides are interested in mutual contacts. By the way, this is not the first discussion of the interaction between the two universities: on April 12, 2021 an online meeting, involving Vice-Rector for International Cooperation, Gayrat Urazboev was held.

In May 2021, Rector of Urgench State University, Bakhrom Abdullaev and Vice-Rector for International Cooperation, Gayrat Urazboev have already visited Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno in order to get acquainted with the university and establish bilateral ties.

Furthermore, Doctor of Physics and Mathematics, Associate Professor of the Department of Physics, Atabek Atamuratov paid a visit to our University on December 4-11, 2021 to conduct lectures within the framework of the "Visiting Professor" program. Associate Professor of the Department of IT Systems and Technologies, Boris Assanovich visited Urgench State University in September this year to conduct lectures and practical classes, take part in the international conference ICISCT 2022.

On November 8, a meeting between Vice-Rector Farrukh Begidjon and the administration of Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno within the framework of discussing prospective fields of cooperation was held.

The meeting was attended by Vice-Rector for International Relations of Tajik State Pedagogical University named after Sadriddin Aini Khudoydodzoda Farrukh Begidjon, Rector of Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno Iryna Kiturka, First Vice-Rector Alexander Karevsky, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Yury Bialykh, Vice-Rector for Research Andrey Pranevich, Vice-Rector for Educational Affairs Vasiliy Sianko, as well as Dean of the Faculty of History, Communication and Tourism Viktar Belazarovich, Dean of the Faculty of Pedagogy Yury Hniazdouski, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Philology Alena Yasiukevich, Dean of the Faculty of Psychology Volha Mitrafanava.  

In a welcoming speech Iryna Kiturka, Rector of Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno, noted that Vice-Rector for International Relations of Tajik State Pedagogical University named after Sadriddin Aini Khudoydodzoda Farrukh Begidjon is making a return visit. Less than a month ago, the President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko and the Minister of Education Andrei Ivanets visited Dushanbe. The delegation also included representatives of Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno headed by the Rector. During that visit, an Agreement of International Cooperation was signed. Then Iryna Kiturka introduced the guest to the history and structure of our university.

Vice-Rector for International Relations of Tajik State Pedagogical University named after Sadriddin Aini, Khudoydodzoda Farrukh Begidjon thanked the administration of Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno for the warm welcome and spoke about Tajik State Pedagogical University, presenting promising areas of mutually beneficial cooperation.

«These are academic exchanges, participation in joint scientific projects and international scientific conferences, implementation of joint educational programs and organization of advanced training courses, including the foundation of the Belarusian Language and Culture Center at Tajik State Pedagogical University named after Sadriddin Aini,» Farrukh Begidjon said. 

Yury Bialykh, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno, highlighted the need of creation of a cooperation program that will become the basis for the development of bilateral relations. He also mentioned the existing opportunities for the development of cooperation between the faculties of our universities.

Andrey Pranevich, Vice-Rector for Research, outlined a number of cooperation areas in the field of scientific activity, including the possibility of organization and participation in international scientific conferences for students and staff, the possibility of publishing research results in the peer-reviewed journal "Vesnik of Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno", cooperation within dissertation defense committees, joint training of scientists, as well as implementation of scientific projects.

Iryna Kiturka, Rector of Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno, summed up the meeting. Traditionally, the event ended with a group photo for memory.

A delegation of the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the Republic of Belarus visited Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno

Rector of Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno Iryna Kiturka warmly welcomed the delegation of the Embassy, comprising of the First Secretary Abdullayev Azimjon Aliyevich and the First Secretary-consul Vakhabov Hajiakbar Juratovich.

In March 2022 Azimjon Aliyevich and Hajiakbar Juratovich visited university for the first time and took part in the V Open Festival "Novruz Bayram". During the current visit, the delegation got acquainted with the Scientific Library of Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno, presenting a collection of literature to its fund. Then the guests met with Uzbek students studying at Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno and Grodno State Agrarian University.

After the conversation with the youth, the guests were given a tour of the Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics, during which they were able to get acquainted with its potential, equipment and facilities.

Undoubtedly, the visit further strengthened the ties between our university and organizations of the Republic of Uzbekistan and outlined new ways of interaction. Currently, Yanka Kupala State State University of Grodno cooperates with universities of the Republic of Uzbekistan within the framework of 13 International Cooperation Agreements and 8 Agreements on the implementation of 23 joint educational programs.

Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno takes part in a business visit to Ethiopia and Kenya as part of the delegation of the Republic of Belarus

Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno Yury Bialykh is visiting Ethiopia on a business trip as part of the delegation of the Republic of Belarus. Meetings are held in the city of Addis Ababa in order to establish cooperation with foreign organizations and educational institutions.

Today there was a meeting with the State Minister of Education of Ethiopia Samuel Kifle Kidane, during which Yuri Bialykh presented the educational and scientific potential of the Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno and also discussed possible areas of mutually beneficial cooperation.

A business forum, which was attended by Belarusian enterprises representing various sectors of the economy and educational institutions, was held the previous day. Addressing the participants of the plenary part of the event, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Republic of Kenya and the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia Pavel Vziatkin spoke about the potential and prospects of bilateral economic cooperation, noted the need to intensify contacts between chambers of commerce and business circles of the two countries.

During the business visit, Yuri Belykh held talks with representatives of recruiting companies and other interested organizations in order to establish contacts and attract foreign citizens to study at our University.
