A delegation of Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno took part in the XV Congress of the Euroasian Universities Association

The congress was attended by rectors and vice-rectors of the member universities from Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tadzhikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and other countries. Rector of Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno Iryna Kiturka and Director of the Scientific Library Mikalai Hrynko took part in the event. 

An essential part of the program was the discussion of a general agenda in the field of science and education with the administration of other interuniversity associations in the Eurasian space as well as the representatives of the academic communities of Vietnam, India, Jordan, Iran, China, Mongolia, Oman, Serbia, Syria, Montenegro and other countries.

During the Congress, development trends of the Association in the modern world, steps and actions aiming at the expanding and deepening of ties between universities in the Eurasian space were determined. 26 new universities decided to join the Association. Iryna Kiturka was actively engaged in the work of the congress, established contacts with the participants and discussed prospective areas of cooperation.

On March 2, Cooperation Agreements with St Petersburg University, P.G. Demidov Yaroslavl State University, Northern (Arctic) Federal University named after M.V. Lomonosov were signed. Joint work in various areas will allow parties to mutually enrich scientific and educational experience.

Iryna Kiturka and Mikalai Hrynko visited the Center of Belarusian language, literature and culture of the Faculty of Philology of Moscow State University. The Rector presented scientific literature and fiction in Belarusian language to the Center. The delegation of Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno held talks with the administration of MSU`s Faculty of Philology, during which promising areas of cooperation and the involvement of foreign citizens in joint events were discussed. Furthermore, Mikalai Hrynko, coordinator of the Center of Belarusian language, literature and culture conducted workshops in Belarusian language, along with lectures in the history of Belarusian literature for the students of the Centers` Belarusian language courses.

The Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno hosted the International Poetry Bridge

A poetic teleconference between Lomonosov Moscow State University and Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno took place at the Faculty of History, Communication and Tourism under the auspices of "Towards the Mother Tongue Day".

The teleconference was organized at the suggestion of the Department of Translation and Intercultural Communication as part of the implementation of the Roadmap for cooperation between Lomonosov Moscow State University and universities of the Republic of Belarus.

The active participants of the teleconference were students of the specialty "Linguistic support of intercultural communications" and students of the Philological Faculty of Lomonosov Moscow State University, where the Center for Belarusian Language, Literature and Culture, created jointly with Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno, has been operating for more than five years.

Viktor Belozorovich, Dean of the Faculty of History, Communication and Tourism, Galina Kedrova, Deputy Dean for International Relations of the Faculty of Philology of Lomonosov Moscow State University, Head of the Center for New Information Technologies in Humanitarian Education, Alla Sheshken, Professor of the Department of Slavic Philology, Head of the Center for Belarusian Language, Literature and culture.

The teleconference featured poetic works in Russian and Belarusian: poems by Sergei Yesenin, Vladimir Mayakovsky, Yanka Kupala, Yakub Kolas, Ryhor Borodulin, Vladimir Korotkevich, Sergei Grakhovsky, Neil Gilevich, Anton Kelmutz, sonnets by Maxim Bogdanovich, Kondrat Krapiva's fable, Arkady Kuleshov's ballad. It is important that all participants from Lomonosov Moscow State University read works in the Belarusian language.

The participants of the teleconference were particularly interested in the author's works and translations. Valeria Karayeva, a student of Lomonosov Moscow State University, read Sergey Chavain's poem "Oto" ("Grove") in Mari and accompanied it with a translation into Russian. Students of Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno offered translations of poems by Mikhail Yuryevich Lermontov, Sergei Yesenin, Vladimir Nabokov into Belarusian. Student of the Moscow State University named after M. V. Lomonosova Lyubov Vinokurova read Yanka Kupala's poem "Zasvyatsila tsyaplo..." in the original and in her proposed translation into Czech.

Antonina Nuretdinova, senior lecturer of the Department of Translation and Intercultural Communication, read her author's works in Russian, and Gleb Klimanov, a student of Lomonosov Moscow State University, presented his poem in Belarusian.

The emotional performances of the participants did not leave anyone indifferent. Summing up, the participants unanimously noted that such events contribute to strengthening mutual understanding between students of the two countries and the development of fruitful cooperation between universities.

At Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno signed a regulation on the joint Tajik-Belarusian Faculty of Knowledge and Intelligence Management

The regulation was signed between Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno and Dangara State University (Dangara, Republic of Tajikistan).

The establishment of the faculty is aimed at further development of cooperation in the field of higher education between the Republic of Belarus and the Republic of Tajikistan. Citizens from different countries of the world, including the Republic of Belarus and the CIS member countries, will be able to study here if they have the appropriate education.

The creation of a joint faculty will contribute to the implementation of educational, scientific, scientific-technical and innovative activities, as well as activities on scientific and methodological support of higher education.

It is planned to implement joint educational programs that will ensure the qualification of a specialist in strategically important industries. An important aspect will be the organization and conduct of research, development and development work on the most pressing problems of education, science, technology and production, as well as in the field of innovation.

The training will take place in various areas: biology, tourism and hospitality, international law, information technology, teaching, design, coaching.

Upon completion of their studies at the joint Tajik-Belarusian Faculty of Knowledge and Intelligence Management, graduates will be awarded diplomas of higher education of the established state standard of the Republic of Belarus and the Republic of Tajikistan.

Yanka Kupala State University hosted a dating evening for international students

For the ninth time, a dating evening was held at the Faculty of Pre-university training "How good that we are all gathered here today." The hall was attended by representatives of students from 14 countries: Belarus, Venezuela, Iraq, Cameroon, Kenya, China, Congo, Liberia, Nigeria, New Zealand, Turkmenistan, Estonia, Eritrea and Ethiopia.

An evening of dating is a wonderful opportunity to introduce yourself. Young people performed in front of a large audience in Russian for the first time. They talked about themselves, family, country, their interests and hobbies. A listener from China, Shuai Jinjun, performed a popular Japanese musical composition on a Chinese bamboo flute, presented to the public a Chinese classical dance with books and a Russian folk dance "Kalinka". Taavi Tuulik from Estonia, together with students from Belarus and the Congo, performed the Estonian folk dance "Kaera-Jaan". A listener from Ethiopia, Bekele Betelem Tesfaye, sang a love song in her native language.

The dean of the Faculty of Pre-university Training Joseph Dornyak said that the importance of this event is to create a favorable psychological climate and conditions for adaptation to a new environment, to a new form of social relations, improving the spoken Russian language, identifying and developing the creative abilities of students.

The hosts of the dating evening were a 1st-year student of the Faculty of Law, a graduate of the Faculty of Pre-university Training, Francisco Manuel Ruiz Hernandez (Venezuela) and a 5th-year student of the Faculty of Arts and Design Shakhyrova Nazli (Turkmenistan).

The atmosphere of celebration and friendship united those present. We are sure that the holiday will be remembered for a long time.

Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Management took part in the International Scientific Forum "Women Chemists 2023"

Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Management, Chairman of the primary organization of the NGO "Belarusian Union of Women" of the Yanka Kupala State University Marina Karpitskaya took part in the International Scientific Forum "Women Chemists 2023", which was held at the Tashkent Institute of Chemical Technology (Tashkent, Republic of Uzbekistan).

Marina Karpitskaya, in the framework of the plenary report, shared her experience in implementing economic education in close relationship with external stakeholders - companies that order personnel, spoke about the role of public organizations in implementing educational programs for women employed in small and medium-sized businesses, studied the experience of the women's movement in Uzbek primary organizations, as well as the experience of youth organizations.

During the visit, Marina Karpitskaya held lectures on the program "Visiting Professor" for students of the Faculty of Management and Vocational Education in the disciplines "Introduction to the specialty" and "Economics of organizations".

The focus of the visit was on the organization of the educational process for joint educational programs at the second stage of economic education and academic mobility for students of the Tashkent Institute of Chemical Technology, as well as internships of the teaching staff at the Faculty of Economics and Management.

A videoconference with Immanuel Kant Baltic Federal University was held at Kupala University

As part of the international volleyball tournament among women's teams for the Cup of the Rector of Kupala University, a meeting of the leadership of the Immanuel Kant Baltic Federal University and Yanka Kupala Grodno State University was held.

Kupala University has a long-term successful history of cooperation with the Immanuel Kant BFU in the scientific, educational, cultural, and sports fields. For example, the team of the Immanuel Kant Baltic Federal University has been participating in the International Volleyball Tournament among women's teams for the Yanka Kupala Rector's Cup since 2016.

Today's online meeting was a confirmation of fruitful cooperation between universities. Irina Kiturko, Rector of Yanka Kupala Grodno State University, noted that thanks to Immanuel Kant BFU, a good tradition was born – holding international online/offline meetings during the celebration of the birthday of Kupala University. Irina Fedorovna stressed that universities have many points of contact and have passed similar stages of development and formation. This undoubtedly allows us to see the common goals of mutually beneficial bilateral relations.

Rector of Immanuel Kant Baltic Federal University Alexander Fedorov congratulated the University on its birthday and stressed the importance of developing fruitful relations between higher education institutions.

Alexander Fedorov said that Immanuel Kant Baltic Federal University has a unique history of cooperation with Yanka Kupala Grodno State University, which should be continued and improved.

At the end of the welcoming part, the parties exchanged souvenirs and launched a competition to collect spils cards of the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation, which was attended by teams of students of Immanuel Kant BFU and Yanka Kupala State University.

Chinese New Year will be celebrated at the Yanka Kupala State University

It will be possible to plunge into the traditions of the East and attend master classes in Chinese calligraphy on February 16.

Celebrating the Chinese New Year in the walls of Kupala University has already become a good tradition. Tomorrow, guests are invited to master classes on the art of Chinese painting. International students will delight those present with a presentation of the forecast of the eastern horoscope for 2023, and during the event everyone will be able to receive a traditional Chinese prediction.

The event will continue with a creative program where guests will be able to enjoy the performance of traditional Chinese songs, melodies and dances.

All interested students and teachers of the Yanka Kupala State University can join the celebration. The event was organized by the Department of Translation and Intercultural Communication of the Faculty of History, Communication and Tourism.

Teachers, graduates and students of the Pedagogical Faculty of the Yanka Kupala State University took part online in the round table "Digital tools of the teacher" at the Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University (Almaty, Republic of Kazakhstan)

Students of Perm State Humanitarian Pedagogical University, Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University, Kazan Federal University shared their experience of using digital tools.

During the event, the participants asked questions, were interested in individual moments of the speeches and were able to enrich their knowledge in the field of digital teaching tools.

Students of the Faculty of History and Tourism took part in the V International distance competition of scientific papers "Sustainable Tourism Development" and took third place in the direction of "Video"

3rd year students of the specialty "Tourism and Hospitality" Victoria Bril, Dinara Mazlumyan and Anastasia Gelezha took part in the competition and presented possibilities of developing and applying audio guides in the tourist and excursion practice of the Republic of Belarus. According to the results of the competition, our students won the 3rd place in the direction of "Video".

The organizers of the competition were the Institute of Digital Economy Research and the Department of Marketing of the Karaganda Buketov University (Kazakhstan). 20 teams from Kazakhstan and CIS countries took part in the competition.

To participate in the competition, teams had to prepare an essay for the first round, as well as shoot a video on the proposed directions within the framework of the second round. The participants were particularly interested in the topics "Features of sustainable rural tourism development: the impact of the community", "Sustainable development and preservation of UNESCO World Heritage Sites", "Green solutions for modern accommodation facilities".
