The Summer School program provided for the integration of the principles of education for sustainable development into various academic disciplines, teacher staff training in the educational process organizing using modern technologies and techniques that contribute to increasing the cognitive activity of students, as well as the implementation of project activities by all participants of the educational process to solve local environmental issues.

About 30 people, who took part in the Summer School "URA Grodno!", for five days exchanged experience, studied in detail the environmental monitoring system in the Republic of Belarus, and also worked on the concepts development for their own educational programs on environmental monitoring and inclusive environmental management.

"URA Grodno!" is an environmental initiative of the project “Civic engagement in environmental monitoring and improving environmental management at the local level”, which is being implemented by UNDP in partnership with the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection of the Republic of Belarus.
