Larissa Gonchar told that the purpose of visit to Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno was to establish cooperation with the University in the field of education and culture, to adopt experience and methods of teaching of the Belarusian language in YKSUG.
The guest from the United States was especially interested in Russian Language Summer School, which was held for the second time in YKSUG. Talking about the possibilities of the Summer School, the dean of the Faculty of Pre-University Training, Yuri Romanovsky, noted that the project provides an opportunity for foreigners not only to improve knowledge of the Russian language, but also to experience the unique culture and traditions of Belarus.
Moreover, representatives of the University proposed Larissa Gonchar to organize language webinars or online seminars in the framework of cooperation.
– We have organized repeated webinars on German language. We have a really great experience in this sphere, so it will not be difficult to prepare and hold the online seminar on the Belarusian language with the pupils of the school in Sacramento, - said Yury Bialykh. – We have all conditions and possibilities to do it.
Both sides plan to continue building and development of partnership between Community Outreach Academy elementary school in Sacramento and Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno.
