Foreigners from 14 countries have come to YKSUG to study Russian
Russian Language Summer School opened for the second time at YKSUG
This year, among participants are students, postgraduates, lecturers and representatives of different companies from 14 countries: United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Belgium, Germany, Spain, Iraq, Italy, Cameroon, Canada, China, Poland, Slovakia, USA, France and Japan. Total number of those, who is going to improve Russian and get acquainted with life in culture in Belarus, is 31 guest.
The study began on the 2nd of August. Students were divided into 5 groups of language level. Wannabes will be trained by lecturers of the Russian as a Foreign Language: Inna Yuryevna Samoylova, Elena Ivanovna Bilutenko, Natalya Grigoryevna Muzichenko, Irina Grigoryevna Kraskovkskaya and Tatyana Vladimirovna Cherkes.
The students of the Summer School are going not only to study Russian, but they also will have eventful cultural program, which will help them to know Belarusians’ life, customs and traditions. There were prepared a lot of events to entertain the foreign guests: historical sightseeing in Grodno and other towns, kayaking in the Augustow Canal, boat trip on Neman, visit at “Grodno” BC, YKSUG Historical Museum, folklore and doll-making workshops, etc. After finishing of the Summer School, all foreign guests will be given a participant certificate.
The youngest student of the Summer School is 20, the oldest is 59. Last year, the oldest was a participant from Slovenia, who was 36. Previous year the Summer School gathered 20 women and 6 men, this year 12 men and 18 women. Besides, one of the Italian guests from the Summer School 2015 have not only visited our land for the second time, but also have brought a new wannabe, and one of the Polish students is working as a volunteer this year.
Project runner is the Department of Russian as a Foreign Language and Linguistic Disciplines from the Faculty of Pre-University Training.
