Professor of the Department of Theory and Methods of Physical Culture Andrei Shpakov visited the University of Poland in Biala Podlaska from 11 to 17 November 2019 within the framework of the academic mobility program for teachers "Erasmus+.
During the visit to the University of Poland in Biala Podlaska, associate Professor of the Department of Theory and Methods of Physical Culture Andrei Shpakov read a series of lectures on the current state of the theory and practice of rehabilitation in the subjects “Physioprophylaxis and promotion of health” and “Public health” to students of the faculty of Healthcare Sciences and the faculty of Social Sciences. He also met and negotiated with representatives of the Department of Physical Education and Physiotherapy, Department of Health at the Patriarch of Rome John Paul II State Higher School to discuss prospects of cooperation with the faculty of Physical Culture of Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno, studied the experience of organization of educational and scientific work at the faculty of Healthcare Sciences and Social Sciences of the University in Poland. Associate Professor Andrei Shpakov discussed with Polish colleagues the experience of educational work and achievements in the field of cross-border scientific cooperation of the faculty of Physical Culture of Kupala University. After that, the Polish side presented proposals for the continuation of research on the joint scientific topic “Physioprophylaxis” with the use of forms of physical activity in the prevention of adverse health factors in the lifestyle and behavior of critical groups of the population. By the way, the possibilities of preparing joint work for publication in scientific journals included in the Scopus, Web of Science databases were also discussed in the course of the negotiations. The first joint work, reflecting the results of the research in 2019, has already been sent to the journal “Health Problems of Civilization”, published at the Patriarch of Rome John Paul II State Higher School.
