Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno discussed prospects of cooperation with Chinese company Xinyu

On February 6, Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno hosted a working meeting with a delegation from Henan Educational Technology Company Xinyu. The delegates discussed the launch of joint educational programs.
The delegation of the Henan Educational Technology Company included Chairman of the Management Board, Director Zhang Zhonggang and translator Lan Liying. Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno was represented by Liavontsi Paulau, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Alena Belakoz, Head of the Internationalization Education Centre, Volha Minava, Head of the Department for International Cooperation, Alesia Belko, Head of the Department for International Projects and Academic Mobility, and Wang Tao, Senior Lecturer at the Department of Translation and Intercultural Communication.
During the meeting, the participants discussed how it is possible to assist Chinese partner higher education institutions in organizing joint educational programs in the fields of "Big data technologies", "Application of information security technologies" and "Mobile software development". The meeting participants also touched upon the issue of expanding multi-format cooperation between China and Belarus in the field of vocational education.
At the end of the event, Liavontsi Paulau thanked the guests for the meeting and presented them with memorable gifts.
For reference: Henan Xingyu Educational Technology Company (Henan Xingyu Education Technology Co., Ltd.) was founded in 2018 and is located in Luoyang, Henan Province. Currently, the company cooperates with many higher education institutions in China.
Since 2020, the company, together with the Luoyang Vocational Technical Institute, has been implementing two joint Chinese-foreign education projects in the fields of mechatronics technology and mechanical engineering and manufacturing.
Since 2024, Henan Xinyu Educational Technology Company has started cooperation with Shangraos Vocational Technical Institute of Jiangsu Province. They jointly implement projects in the fields of "Mechatronics Technology" and "Automation of Mechanical Engineering".
In the future, the company plans to cooperate with higher education institutions in Shaanxi, Xinjiang, Guangdong, Guangxi and other regions of China within the framework of joint educational and professional development programs abroad.
Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno and Sichuan Vocational College discuss cooperation plan for 2026

On February 4, an online meeting was held between the delegations of Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno and Sichuan Vocational and Technical College. The key topic of the talks was the discussion of the main vectors of cooperation between educational institutions.
Director of the Center for International Exchange and Cooperation Zhai Lian and member of the Belarusian project group of the Center for International Exchange and Cooperation Yu Yuanyao participated in the negotiations on behalf of the Sichuan Vocational and Technical College.
The delegation of Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno was represented by Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Liavontsi Paulau, Dean of the Faculty of Philology Sviatlana Hanchar, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering Dmitry Linnik, Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs of the Faculty of Biology and Ecology Olga Kondratyuk, Head of the Center for Internationalization of Education Alena Belakoz, Head of the Department of International Cooperation Volha Minava, Head of the Department of International Projects and Academic Mobility Alesia Belko and Senior Lecturer of the Department of Translation and Intercultural Communication, translator Wang Tao.
After mutual greetings, a discussion of cooperation issues took place. Liavontsi Paulau proposed discussing in detail the program of the educational visit of students of the Sichuan Vocational and Technical College to the Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno in March 2026. The Chinese partners have discussed the issue of preparations for the opening of the Language and Culture Center at the Sichuan Vocational College. The parties agreed on the design of the cultural and educational environment of the exhibition hall of the Center.
During the negotiations, the parties also discussed schedules of mutual visits and student exchange and educational travel programs for 2026.
At the end of the meeting, Liavontsi Paulau thanked the partners for the meeting and expressed hope for further fruitful cooperation.
This meeting was another step in strengthening cooperation between Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno and Sichuan Vocational and Technical College.
Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno and Lanzhou Institute of Business and Technology signed a cooperation agreement

On January 16, an online meeting was held between Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno and Lanzhou Institute of Business and Technology. The main topic of the meeting was the discussion of promising areas of cooperation between universities.
The Lanzhou Institute of Business and Technology was represented by President Wang Huadong, Executive Vice President Ma Yiha, Director of the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange Ma Yujie, and deans of secondary colleges.
The meeting was attended by the Rector of the Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno Iryna Kiturka, Vice-Rector for Ideological and Educational Affairs Vasiliy Sianko, Head of the Center for Internationalization of Education Alena Belakoz, Head of the International Cooperation Department Volha Minava and Senior Lecturer of the Department of Translation and Intercultural Communication, translator Wang Tao. The meeting was also attended by representatives of the UNESCO Association of Gansu Province: Deputy Secretary General Yang Zhi and an employee of the Association, translator Victoria.
Iryna Kiturka, Rector of Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno, addressed her Chinese colleagues with a welcoming speech. In her speech, she noted the willingness of Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno to actively cooperate on previously reached agreements. Among them are the training of graduates of the Lanzhou Institute of Business and Technology in the graduate program of the Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno, as well as the possibility of further study of Chinese students in graduate school, the implementation of joint educational programs in technology and business, law, philology and art, the exchange of staff for internships and lectures, and the participation of staff and students in scientific and educational and cultural events of the Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno.
After discussing the joint work, the representatives of the universities signed an agreement on international cooperation.
The signing of this agreement has become a solid foundation for further cooperation between universities and the development of international relations.

On April 16-18, 2026, the Moscow City Pedagogical Institute will host the IX Annual International Symposium "Education and the City" During the event, participants will discuss the role of education and educational organizations in a modern city, ways to implement the university's third mission, as well as opportunities to ensure sustainable development in an era of uncertainty.

On January 9, Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno hosted a working meeting with Evgeny Bitus, a citizen of the Russian Federation, professor at ROSBIOTECH, and an international expert on working with the EAEU, CIS, SCO, and BRICS countries. The main topic of the talks was the development of partnership relations between universities of the two countries.

Architectural pearls of Grodno: a New Year's gift to students from China

On December 31, on New Year's Eve, students of Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno visited the Old and New Castles, where they were able to touch the rich cultural heritage of the Belarusian land and get acquainted with the architectural heritage of the city of Grodno.
As part of the study in Philosophy, Alexandra Dubravina, Associate Professor of the Department of Philosophy at the Faculty of Pedagogy, organized an excursion to the Grodno Historical and Archaeological Museum for students from the People's Republic of China studying at the Faculty of Physical Culture.
Visiting the museum on the last day of 2025 was a symbolic end to the academic semester, leaving warm memories of Belarusian hospitality in the hearts of students.

Students of YKSUG took part in an international conference on digital international relations

The IV International Scientific and practical conference "Digital International Relations 2025: People in the focus of digital development" was held on December 18-19 in Moscow.
The purpose of the conference was to discuss key trends and problems of digital transformation of international relations and the impact of digital technologies on human development. The conference also aimed to develop recommendations on ensuring digital transformation in the interests of sustainable and integrated human development and to share international experience and best practices in the field of information technology exports.
Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno was represented at the conference by 4th-year International Law students Cespedes Zabala Alonso Jose, Kirill Ivanovsky, Kirill Kazimirenko and Arseniy Kozlov, as well as 3rd-year International Law student Lavrenty Misuno.
As part of the program, students of YKSUG took part in a plenary session dedicated to discussing global strategies for technological development within the framework of international cooperation. In the sections, participants discussed the phenomenon of cybercrime and methods of combating it, the best international experience in government support for IT exports, information and analytical systems in socio-humanitarian research, methods of digital preservation of cultural heritage, and digital human rights. The participants were also able to participate in a digital chess tournament and attend a presentation of the Live Textbook project.
On December 19, events were held on databases for the study of international relations, digitalization, artificial intelligence, neuro-research of the human factor in international negotiations and neuro-linguistics, and modern Internet governance models.
The conference was organized by the Moscow State Institute of International Relations under the leadership of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation in cooperation with the Ivannikov Institute of System Programming of the Russian Academy of Sciences with the support of the Priority 2030 State Program for Strategic academic leadership.

Today, on December 17, Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno hosted an online meeting with a delegation from Shandong Xiehe University. The main topic of discussion is new aspects of university cooperation.

During the negotiations, representatives of Shandong Xiehe University made proposals for promising areas of cooperation. The first direction was the implementation of academic exchange projects for students and teaching staff during the academic year/semester in the fields of Medicine, Engineering, Pedagogy, and Management. The second point was voiced by cooperation in the research field, which includes joint participation in international projects, the development of research areas, the sharing of laboratory resources and the joint publication of scientific results. The third vector of cooperation concerned the organization of face-to-face and online lectures, cultural exhibitions, summer schools and other сultural events.
Holding such a meeting was an important step in strengthening the relationship between Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno and Shandong Xiehe University.

On December 16, an online meeting was held between the management of the colleges of the Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno and the Yangier branch of the Tashkent Institute of Chemical Technology. The purpose of the negotiations was to develop cooperation in training personnel in the system of reduced education and transitional educational programs.
On the part of Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno, the event was attended by Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Liavontsi Paulau, Director of the College of Technology Andrey But, Director of Lida College Andrey Semashko, head of the Center for Internationalization of Education Alena Belakoz, Head of the Department of International Projects and Academic Mobility Alesia Belko and a leading specialist of the Department of International Cooperation Hanna Milasheuskaya.
After welcoming the university leaders, the parties presented the educational opportunities of their educational institutions and exchanged experiences in implementing abbreviated programs in the "technical school/college+" system. UNIVERSITY".
Discussing cooperation in the system of abbreviated education, special attention was paid to the mechanisms of admission of college graduates to abbreviated programs, the transfer of academic disciplines and learning outcomes, the coordination of curricula and graduate competencies. The parties also discussed the joint development of transitional curricula, a modular and credit-based approach to teaching, and the use of distance and blended learning.
A special emphasis in the discussion was placed on the practice-oriented training of personnel – the organization of internships, internships for students and teachers, as well as interaction with industrial enterprises.
As a result of the negotiations, the parties came to a decision to prepare a pilot project of shortened education for the Yangier branch of the Tashkent Institute of Chemical Technology, which will include elements of the Belarusian experience. The participants agreed to sign a Memorandum of Cooperation and appoint project coordinators, as well as discussed a plan for further actions.
The creation of such a joint project is an important step in improving the interaction between colleges and universities, as well as the foundation for long-term and productive cooperation between Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno and the Yangier branch of the Tashkent Institute of Chemical Technology.
