Council of the Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno started work in a new composition

The renewed composition of the University Council included heads of structural units, representatives of the teaching staff, authorities, enterprises, institutions and organizations.

Among them are Viktor Liskovich, Deputy Chairman of the Grodno Oblast Executive Committee, Anatoly Grishuk, Director of the Grodno Meat-Packing Plant JSC, Member of the Standing Committee of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus on Economy, Budget and Finance, Andrei Korol, Rector of the Belarusian State University, Anatoly Sviridenok , Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and Vera Grishechko, Chairman of the Grodno regional organization of the Belarusian Trade Union of Workers of Education and Science.

Within the framework of the meeting, Irina Kiritko, Senior vice-rector, congratulated Vladimir Lyavshuk, Senior Lecturer of the Department of International Business and Marketing , with creation of  the candidate of historical sciences and Leonti Pavlov, Head of the Military Faculty, with creation of the associate professor. Irina Fedorovna presented the diploma of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus to Nina Makarova, Assistant Professor of the Department of Modern Programming Technologies, and the diploma of the Ministry of Education to Zoya Akhremova, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Theory and Methodology of Special Education.

In addition, Viktor Watyl, Professor and Head of the Department of Political Science, Alexey Petkevich, Leading Research Associate Professor and Alexander Nechukhrin, Professor, Head of the Department of General and Slavic History, were awarded valuable gifts for the long-term effective work at the Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno.

Within the framework of the meeting of the Council of the University, the strategy of the personnel policy at the university and the development of engineering education at the Yanka Kupala State University were discussed. The representatives of the teaching staff were elected on a competitive basis for filling vacant positions of the staff and were presented to the academic rank of associate professor.
