The competition “Best Young Scientist of the CIS – 2025” is held annually in Astana for researchers under 35 who have made invaluable contributions to the development of science at both national and international levels. Vera Martynova, a graduate of the Law Faculty of Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno, has been named the best young scientist in the Commonwealth of Independent States!

The main goal of this project is to identify the best developments by young scientists in the fields of humanities and natural sciences, as well as to promote scientific interests and create a unifying platform for the advancement of science.

She submitted her works, including a scientific study on migration control and a portfolio of scientific achievements for 2023 and 2024, to participate in the prestigious competition back in December 2024. At that time, she was studying in the master's program at Yanka Kupala State University. The selection and review of the submitted works took several months, highlighting the high standards and thoroughness with which the applications were evaluated. The expert jury assessed each work, paying attention to both the originality of the research and its practical significance. The results of the competition became known only in the summer.

By decision of the international expert commission, Vera was declared the winner of the competition and awarded the medal “The Best Young Scientist of the CIS – 2025”, along with a certificate, diploma, and publication in a peer-reviewed international book edition. This achievement is not only an important milestone in Vera's scientific career but also opens new horizons for further professional growth and development in the field of law.

A letter of gratitude “For Supporting Active Youth in the International Project Among Scientific and Educational Institutions of the CIS” was awarded to the scientific supervisor of the laureate – Rimma Klyuchko, head of the Department of Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure, and Forensics, candidate of legal sciences, and associate professor at Yanka Kupala State University.

I am overwhelmed with indescribable emotions of happiness and gratitude towards my supervisor for her hard work, support, and belief in me. I still can't believe that my dream has come true; I became the winner of the “Best Young Scientist of the CIS – 2025” competition”. Vera shared her emotions.
