First Vice-Rector Aleksandr Karevskiy presented innovative experience of YKSUG at International Congress in Kaliningrad

On April 22, the XXVI International Congress "Sustainable Development of Education: Mission. Transformations. Resources" dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the establishment of the Kaliningrad Region began its work at Immanuel Kant Baltic Federal University in Kaliningrad, and will continue until April 24.

The Congress, one of the largest international educational events in the Kaliningrad Region, annually brings together more than 400 leading national and foreign specialists in the fields of history, philosophy and anthropology of education, intercultural communication, pedagogy, psychology, and interdisciplinary research.

The Congress is held to unite representatives of the national and international academic community in order to expand scientific-practical ties and strengthen scientific interaction; to search for new educational paradigms and modern resources for supporting transregional and international pedagogical communities; as well as to update strategic tasks for ensuring the quality of education and developing strategies for improving the modern education system.

Today, April 23, Aleksandr Karevskiy delivered a welcoming speech on behalf of Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno at the opening ceremony of the XXVI International Congress "Sustainable Development of Education: Mission. Transformations. Resources".

– Our Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno and Immanuel Kant Baltic Federal University share a long-standing friendship, initiated by Andrei Klemeshev and the rector at that time – Yauheni Rouba, – emphasized First Vice-Rector. – We have quite close cooperation in various scientific projects and youth education – this is wonderful!

Within the framework of the congress, Aleksandr Karevskiy presented the report "Innovative Approaches to the Strategic Development of Educational Activities Using the Example of the Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno" authored by: Iryna Kiturka, Rector, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Associate Professor; Aleksandr Karevskiy, First Vice-Rector, Candidate of Biological Sciences, Associate Professor; Yauheni Alizarovich, Head of the Information and Analytical Center, Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor; and Julia Fedosova, Leading Specialist of the Information and Analytical Center, Candidate of Sociological Sciences, Associate Professor.

The report focused on the analysis of strategic development of higher education in the context of global economic challenges and digital transformation. The authors examined the role of the university as an important link in the system of state relations, emphasizing the difficulty of finding a balance between national priorities and the ability of universities to develop their own competitive strategies. Using the example of Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno, the relevance of creating an innovative university ecosystem as a new model of interaction with stakeholders was substantiated. The key conclusion of the report was the need for higher education to transition from passive adaptation to external conditions to proactive transformation of the environment, which requires synchronizing educational policy with the real needs of the national economy and the active participation of all interested parties in achieving strategic goals.

First Vice-Rector Aleksandr Karevskiy took part in the expert session "Pilot Project on Changing the Levels of Professional Education: Anthropological Contexts and Implementation Trajectories," discussing innovative approaches to the strategic development of educational activities with colleagues.

In addition, negotiations are planned with representatives of universities of the Russian Federation on issues of strategic development of universities and the development of scientific and educational cooperation.

Following the results of the international pedagogical congress, a collection of materials indexed in RSCI (in Russian) will traditionally be published. The best studies will be published in the journal "Bulletin of Immanuel Kant Baltic Federal University. Series: Philology, Pedagogy, Psychology" after successfully undergoing the peer review procedure.
