Special atmosphere, creative performances and new friends: an international dating evening was held at Kupala University

The event brought together students, graduates, volunteers and teachers of the Faculty of Pre-university training.
The evening of dating "How good that we are all here today" was held at Yanka Kupala State University for the seventh time. The event is organized annually by teachers of the Department of Language Training of Belarusian and Foreign Citizens of the Faculty of Pre-university Training.

The evening of February 19 turned out to be really international. Representatives of students from Azerbaijan, Belarus, Brazil, Cameroon, China, Congo, Ecuador, Ethiopia, Guinea, Iraq, Lebanon, Mali, Nigeria, Togo, Turkmenistan, Turkey and Vietnam were present in the hall. The event was opened by the Dean of the Faculty of Pre-university Training, Iosif Dornyak. The Head of the Department of Language Training of Belarusian and Foreign Citizens, Inna Samoilova, also addressed the audience with a welcoming speech. A pleasant surprise for all the participants was the video messages of the 2017 graduates of the Faculty, Hassan Bepari from Bangladesh and Idris Alihuzai from Iraq.

The main characters of the evening were the students of the Preparatory Department of foreign citizens. For the first time, the young people performed in Russian in front of a large audience. They talked about themselves, their family, their country, their interests and hobbies, accompanying the presentations with colorful slide presentations. By the way, some participants started learning Russian only three weeks ago. They also prepared concert performances for the guests of the festival. For example, a listener from Ethiopia, Ali Hadar Ahmed, read in Russian a poem by Eduard Asadov "I can wait for you for a long time". Guilherme Santos from Brazil performed an incendiary Brazilian dance. Students from Nigeria Amaechi Francis and Francis Nwokoro sang a song in English "Hakuna Matata". The hosts of the dating evening were Maria Sushko, a law student, and Pedro Lameira, a student of the Faculty of Pre-university Training.
