Then the participants of the #BelarusMolodezhEdinstvo train went to the Yanka Kupala State University. Here, on behalf of all the Kupala residents, Vice-Rector for Research Yuri Romanovsky addressed the children with a welcoming speech. He noted that Kupala University is very happy to receive participants in a large republican project.
As part of the visit to our university, the guests were able to watch videos about the participants of the youth train visiting Grodno in 2020, as well as about the highlights of the holiday “Grodno - the Youth Capital of the Republic of Belarus 2021”.
After that, the participants went to the Student Media Center: there they learned about the media projects implemented by the Kupalovites, in the educational radio studio they recorded an image advertising video about the Kupala University, and in an impromptu TV interview they shared their impressions and expectations from participation in the youth project. The participants also walked along the corridors of the Yanka Kupala State University, looked into the Museum of the history of the development of the university, got acquainted with the presented expositions, among which "Ad gimnazii da unversite", learned about the history of creation and the main achievements of the largest university in the region. At the end of the visit, the participants of the Republican youth train #BelarusYouthUnity received pleasant souvenirs from Kupala University.
The Republican Youth Train is a project first implemented in 2020 by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus and the Belarusian Republican Union of Youth with the support of the Ministry of Transport and Communications of the Republic of Belarus and the Belarusian Railway. In 2021, the project is being implemented under the slogan #BelarusYouthUnity.
Within seven days, young people will travel about 2 thousand kilometers, visit eight cities along the route Grodno - Polotsk - Vitebsk - Gorki - Petrikov - Brest - Maryina Gorka - Minsk, where they will take part in the implementation of socially significant initiatives and youth programs, get acquainted with the sights of the regions and will discuss topical issues of state youth policy.
