Foreign colleagues arrived at Yanka Kupala State University with the purpose of better acquaintance and establishing partnerships in different areas. The St. Petersburg State University delegationIn turn, the foreign colleagues introduced the Belarusian side to the educational opportunities of St. Petersburg State University. In the following discussion, they talked about network cooperation using online courses and online programs, as well as the creation of joint online courses and online programs with the possibility of placement on the Russian international online platform. An equally important part was the discussion of joint research activities in the field of digital transformation and information security. included Vice-Rector for Digital Transformation and Information Security Vladimir Starostenko, the Head of the Digital Transformation Project Office, Director of the Center for the Development of Electronic Educational Resources Anastasia Kovalchuk and Professor, the Head of the Department of Theory and History of State and Law, Director of the Center for the Study of Information Security and Digital Transformation Vladislav Arkhipov.

Before proceeding to the official discussion the delegation met with the Rector of Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno Iryna Kiturka. The parties discussed possible vectors of cooperation and shared their experience of digital education in an informal setting. The representatives of the foreign delegation expressed hope that Irina Kiturko would visit the university during the celebration of the 300th anniversary of St. Petersburg State University.

The official part of the visit began with a welcoming speech by the first Vice-rector of Yanka Kupala State University Alexandr Karevskiy. Vice-rector for Academic Affairs Leonty Pavlov, Vice-Rector for Security and Human Resources Aleksey Bezzubik, Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science Alena Livak, Dean of the Faculty of Physics and Technology Gennady Gachko and other interested persons also took part in the meeting from Yanka Kupala State University. The head of the educational and methodological department Marina Kolotsey referred to the educational opportunities of Kupala University in more detail.

The first interaction between Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno and St. Petersburg State University took place in 2010, when the agreement between our university and the Faculty of Applied Mathematics-Management Processes of St. Petersburg State University began.

A new round in cooperation took place on March 2, 2023, as part of the participation of the Yanka Kupala State University in the XV Congress of the Eurasian Association of Universities. At that time, a cooperation agreement was signed with St. Petersburg State University and the negotiations were held with Vice-Rector for Research at St. Petersburg State University Sergey Mikushev. St. Petersburg State University actively participates in the "Visiting Professor" program, accepts GrSU representatives for internships, university representatives participate in conferences of partner universities.

In February 2023, the women's volleyball team of St. Petersburg State University took part in the IX volleyball tournament for the Yanka Kupala Rector's Cup.

A program of international cooperation has been developed between the Faculty of History, Communication and Tourism and "Higher School of Journalism and Mass Communications" Institute of St. Petersburg State University for 2023-2024 with the aim of interaction in the field of journalism, philology (media linguistics, linguopragmatics, linguoculturology), history, sociology. An online meeting is planned to discuss the prospects of cooperation within the framework of the Mendeleev scientific and educational cluster of St. Petersburg State University. The text of the Protocol on Academic and Scientific Exchange is being agreed.
