Kupalovtsy are invited to participate in the III International Competition "The Nuremberg Trials and Modern International Law"

On November 24-27, the Federation of Trade Unions of Belarus, together with the International University “MITSO”, is holding the III International Competition "The Nuremberg Trials and Modern International Law." The partners are the National Centre for Legislation and Legal Information of the Republic of Belarus, as well as the Institute of History of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus.

The aim of the competition is to spread knowledge about the real results of the Second World War, prevent the revision of the Nuremberg Tribunal decisions, improve the level of education of students and undergraduates, as well as stimulate their interest in the study of international law, including public international, criminal and humanitarian law.

Participation in the competition involves the formation of teams of law students and undergraduates, consisting of two students and a coach or three students, but without a coach. To participate in the competition, you have to file an application by October 24, 2025, and submit the Memoranda of the parties to the Prosecution and Defense by November 4, 2025 by e-mail: This email address is being protected from spambots. The working language of the competition is Russian, and the format of the competition is face–to–face participation. The competition will be held from November 24 to November 27, 2025 in Minsk at the address: Kazintsa str., 21/3.

It should be noted that participation in the competition is free, but the teams bear the cost of travel to Minsk and back. The cost of accommodation and meals for foreign and nonresident teams is covered by the organizers.

Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno hosted an online meeting with representatives of the Shandong Women's University

On September 16, representatives of Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno and Shandong Women's University discussed current areas of cooperation in an online meeting.

The event was attended by Chen Ke, Dean of the International Institute and School of Continuing Education, Dou Yan, Director of the School of Continuing Education, Han Zhenji, Director of the International Design Center of the School of Continuing Education, Gao Na, Deputy Director of the International Design Center of the School of Continuing Education. Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno was represented by Liavontsi Paulau, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Alena Belakoz, Head of the Centre for Internationalization of Education, Olga Minova, Head of the International Cooperation Department, Alesia Belko, Head of the Department of International Projects and Academic Mobility, Darya Shpak, acting Head of the Educational and Methodological Department and Wang Tao, Senior Lecturer at the Department of Translation and Intercultural Communication.

The topic of discussion was current areas of cooperation, namely 0.3+0.7 one-year master's degree programs. This format involves 3 months of study in China and 7 months of study at YKSUG.

The training is conducted in 53 first-level higher education specialties related to eight educational profiles: mathematics, engineering, philology, pedagogy, law, economics, management and art history. Current areas of cooperation in the field of sports education with representatives of Eurasian Bridge LLC and Hunan Xiangcheng Football Club were discussed at Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno

On September 15, Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno hosted a meeting with representatives of Eurasian Bridge LLC and Hunan Xiangcheng Football Club.

The event was attended by representatives of Eurasian Bridge LLC Yun Hao, Xu Tao, Lin Jie, as well as Chairman of Hunan Xiangcheng Football Club Liu Feiyu and manager Gong Zhile. YKSUG was represented at the meeting by Liavontsi Paulau, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Vitaliy Khramov, Dean of the Faculty of Physical Education, Olga Pavlyut, Associate Professor of the Department of Sports Games, Anna Miloshevskaya, a leading specialist in the Department of International Cooperation, and Wang Tao, Senior lecturer at the Department of Translation and Intercultural Communication.

During the meeting, the Chinese side got acquainted with the university in general and, in particular, with the Faculty of Physical Education. The sides discussed current areas of cooperation in the field of sports education and the possibility of signing an agreement on further cooperation.

At the end the guests from the People's Republic of China were given a sightseeing tour of the university.

Students of Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno took part in the "Summer University – 2025" project

The event was held at the Ural Federal University named after the first President of Russia B.N. Yeltsin in Yekaterinburg and brought together about 300 students from 17 countries.

The international educational project "Summer University – 2025" is a unique platform where students can not only get acquainted with the potential of Russian education, but also show their professional skills and gain new knowledge and friendships.

Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno was represented at the event by Violetta Dremlyuk, a 4th-year student of Faculty of Law, and Ariadna Datsik, a 4th-year student of Faculty of History, Communication and Tourism.

As part of the humanitarian and legal field, the participants listened to lectures on "Ethics in the field of artificial intelligence", "International legal regulation of peaceful nuclear activities", "Contracts for the international sale of goods", "Fundamentals of social design", "Legal support for energy conservation and energy efficiency", "Legal support for projects using neural networks", "Environmental safety and the right to a favorable environment", "International taxation in the EAEU States" and "Peculiarities of obtaining and registering intellectual property rights and means of individualization". The key stage of the "Summer University" was the "Hackathom" competition, where participants had to prepare and defend a project in interdisciplinary teams.

In addition to intensive study, a rich cultural program was organized for the participants. The project participants visited the Skazov Park in the village of Aramil, the Europe–Asia border, an excursion around Yekaterinburg and industrial tours, during which they visited the Ural State Law University, the Legislative Assembly of the Sverdlovsk Region, the Sverdlovsk Regional Bar Association and the Museum of Military and Automotive Equipment of the UGMK. An evening of national hospitality, workshops, quizzes and sports events were also held.

After returning from the Summer University site, the participants brought with them invaluable experience, new friendships and vivid impressions.

Prospective areas of cooperation with the Longnan Pedagogical Institute discussed at Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno

On September 9, Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno hosted an online meeting with representatives of the Longnan Pedagogical Institute (People's Republic of China).

Among the representatives of the Longnan Pedagogical Institute are Xiang Jun, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Longnan Pedagogical Institute, Li Yanhong, President of the Longnan Pedagogical Institute, He Xinzheng, Vice–President of the Longnan Pedagogical Institute, Wang Han, Head of the Department of Scientific Research and Foreign Affairs of the Longnan Pedagogical Institute, Fan Xiaolong, Director of the Presidential Administration, Tang Hongwei, Director of the Department of Foreign Affairs of Longnan City.

Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno was represented by Alexandr Karevskiy, First Vice-Rector, Liavontsi Paulau, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Natalia Bashun, Vice-Rector for Research, Alena Belakoz, Head of the Center for Internationalization of Education, Alesia Belko, Head of the Department of International Projects and Academic Mobility, Anna Miloshevskaya, Acting Head of the Department of International Cooperation and Wang Tao, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Translation and Intercultural Communication.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the implementation of joint research projects in various areas; the participation of representatives of the Institute in scientific and educational events planned to be held at Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno in 2025, specialized schools, including the annual Summer School of the Russian Language; staff exchange for internships and lectures; development of academic mobility of students for undergraduate, graduate, and postgraduate studies; designing and implementing joint educational programs in bachelor's and master's degrees with two diplomas and more.

At the end of the meeting, an agreement on international cooperation was signed between Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno and the Longnan Pedagogical Institute.

Participation is open to students, undergraduates, postgraduates, and university staff, as well as college students at Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno.

The purpose of the social project competition is to involve students and university staff in socially useful activities, create conditions for self-realization, form business activity, develop leadership skills, improve communication skills and competencies in the field of project activities.

The joint development of the Institute of Biochemistry and the Faculty of Biology and Ecology of YKSUG was presented at the III Belarusian-Uzbek Business Forum

On September 2-3 2025, the III Belarusian-Uzbek Business Forum was held in Vitebsk. The Forum was organized by the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus.

Within the framework of the Forum, presentations of products and services of enterprises of the two countries, the international scientific and practical exhibition "Growth Strategy: Science and Industry" were held. Elena Raduta, Senior Lecturer at the Department of Systems Biology, took part in the Forum.

The developments of biologically active compounds of the Institute of Biochemistry of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus were presented. Some of them were attended by the staff of the Faculty of Biology and Ecology of YKSUG. Among such developments are crinis, an anti–hair loss and growth spray, and RANLEK-PANTHENOL, a wound-healing agent with analgesic and antiseptic effects, which is intended for daily skin care, including very dry and prone to peeling, as well as as an auxiliary agent for sunburn and thermal burns, when treatment of skin injuries (wounds, burns, trophic and radiation ulcers), prevention of bacterial complications and local anesthesia.

A joint development of the Institute of Biochemistry and the Faculty of Biology and Ecology of the Higher Educational Institution Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno, DiaVita yoghurts with Betulin birch bark extract, was also presented. The products have already been introduced and are being produced at JSC Molochny Mir.

Rector of Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno participates in Belarusian-Uzbek Women's Business Forum

 

On September 2-3, Vitebsk hosts the III Belarusian-Uzbek Women's Business Forum, the theme of which is "Belarus-Uzbekistan: cooperation as a factor of sustainable development." Business representatives, experts and opinion leaders meet to exchange experiences and strengthen trade and economic cooperation between the two countries.

Today, on September 2, a large business program is taking place within the framework of the event – a meeting of seven sections. Topics range from industry to the role of local government in ensuring the sustainable development of the regions of Belarus and Uzbekistan.

Iryna Kiturka, Rector of Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno, attended the section "Belarus-Uzbekistan: bilateral cooperation in the socio-economic sphere (tasks and prospects)". During the section, the participants discussed key issues of bilateral cooperation in the socio-economic sphere. The section was moderated by Sergey Sivets, Chairman of the Permanent Commission of the Council of the Republic on Education, Science, Culture and Social Development, and Oral Ataniyazova, Deputy Chairman of the Senate Committee on Science, Education and Health of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

In addition to the scientific program, a concert is planned for the Forum participants today.

A plenary session of the women's business forum "Belarus-Uzbekistan: Cooperation as a factor of sustainable development" will be held on September 3.

The event also includes an exhibition of achievements of the national economy of Belarus and Uzbekistan.

The Forum is organized by the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus and the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The Summer School of the Belarusian Language and Culture has finished its work at Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno

The fifth anniversary school “under the bright name of Kupala” was held at the Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno from August 4 to August 15. 20 foreign guests from Russia, Kazakhstan and Turkmenista attended the school with great interest.

Today, on August 15, during the closing ceremony of Summer School, participants received well-deserved certificates for successful completion of their studies. Certificates were also awarded to those who successfully passed the exam on the level of proficiency in the Belarusian language.

During the training, the participants got acquainted with the Belarusian language and the history of our country, visited interesting cultural places, and also learned how to cook national cuisine and perform folk dances.

«During the summer school, the participants united into one friendly family. It's always warm and cozy here. I will definitely come here again next year», - Evgenia Elizarova, a participant of the Summer School of Belarusian Language and Culture, shared her impressions.
