«The Kupala Projects 2025» is the International Distance Learning Marathon, which invites you to participate in the testing of network products
«The Kupala Projects 2025» International distance learning marathon started at Yanka Kupala State University on February 10 and will end on August 30. Teachers, methodologists, librarians, teachers of additional education, professors, students, and pupils will be able to test the projects created by the marathon participants.
The marathon is aimed at training teachers and students in the technologies for creating educational network projects and web quests, and is based on the rich experience gained in developing teachers' professional competencies during the «Kupala Projects» educational marathons in 2016-2024.
The international distance training "Spring Session" is aimed at conducting public and professional expertise of network projects and web quests created by marathon participants, improving ICT competence and mastering modern interdisciplinary, including distance education, technologies.
The projects will be tested in two stages: from May 12 till June 1 and from May 19 till June 8. The results of the testing will be announced on June 23. All participants will receive electronic certificates from the organizers. Registration of participants of the second approbation is currently underway and will last until May 18.
The list of projects created as part of the marathon includes developments by teachers and students of Yanka Kupala State University, as well as other higher educational institutions. Among them are the network project «Learning through the Past», author Utkir Yuldoshev, head of the Department of Pedagogy of the Kokand State Pedagogical Institute named after Mukimiya (Uzbekistan), the web quest «Career Strategy», authors Natalia Ovcharuk and Lyubov Karabanova, associate professors of the Department of Digital Technologies and Design of the Engineering and Technology Institute of the Khakass State University of N.F. Katanova.
The marathon is held with the support of the Education Internationalization Center of the Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno.

Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno strengthens cooperation with the People's Republic of China
The delegation of Kupala State University of Grodno, headed by Rector Iryna Kiturka, continues its working trip to the People's Republic of China, which began on May 12. During the visit, a series of significant meetings were held aimed at developing educational cooperation between Belarus and China.
Today, on May 15, the delegation visited the Center for International Education in Beijing, where the opening of the Confucius Institute of Chinese Studies at the Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno was discussed. The participants discussed the prospects of creating an institute that would become a platform for learning Chinese language and culture, as well as for sharing experiences between students and teachers.
After that, the delegation visited the UNESCO Association and the Chinese Community of Chinese Education, where they got acquainted with the work of Luban's workshop. This institution is actively engaged in the development of educational initiatives and programs aimed at improving the quality of education in the country. The meeting participants exchanged views on the possibilities of implementing joint projects and initiatives in the field of education and science.
These events highlight the importance of cooperation between YKSUG and educational institutions in China. The opening of the Joint Educational Center on May 14 was an important step towards strengthening partnerships and expanding educational opportunities for universities in both countries.
Joint Educational Center of Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno and Xinjiang Pedagogical University opened in China
Cooperation between Belarus and China in the field of education reached a new level: Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno and Xinjiang Pedagogical University opened a Joint Education Centre. This was the main outcome of the talks held within the framework of the visit of the delegation of YKSUG to the People's Republic of China.
The negotiation between the representatives of the two universities, which took place on May 14, became a key stage on the way to strengthening partnership relations. The parties discussed promising areas of cooperation and opportunities for joint programmes. The Belarusian delegation was also given a tour of Xinjiang Pedagogical University, during which it was possible to get acquainted with the infrastructure and educational opportunities of the university. An important moment of the visit was the meeting with students studying Russian.
Special attention was paid to the opening ceremony of the Joint Educational Centre of Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno and Xinjiang Pedagogical University. The event was attended by Ainivar Akim, rector of the Xinjiang Pedagogical University, vice-rectors, staff and students of the university, as well as Iryna Kiturka, rector of Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno, and Liavontsi Paulau, Vice-rector for Academic Affairs.

Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno will host the International Scientific and Practical Conference «Sociocultural and Economic Processes in the Region: Research Methodology and Management Practices
On May 15-16, Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno will host an international scientific and practical conference dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory. The conference will be attended by more than 100 participants, including 17 foreign representatives from Belarus, the Russian Federation and the People's Republic of China.
The conference will bring together leading scientists and practitioners from various universities and organisations. The work of the scientific forum will be organised in four sections. The first section will be devoted to regional policy in the context of modern challenges, exploring the main trends and areas of improvement. The second section will consider socio-economic and cultural development of regions through the prism of sociological research. The third section will focus on the potential of youth as an important factor in the strategic development of the region. The fourth section will be devoted to the activities of the region's enterprises in implementing state programmes of civic and patriotic education of young people.

Delegation of YKSUG participates in the meeting of the Subcommittee on Cooperation in the Field of Education in China
The delegation of the Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno, headed by Rector Iryna Kiturka, is taking part in the eighth meeting of the Subcommission for Cooperation in Education of the China-Belarus Intergovernmental Cooperation Committee.
The meeting is taking place today, on May 12, in Urumqi (China). The event is attended by Minister of Education of the Republic of Belarus Andrei Ivanets, as well as heads of the leading educational institutions of the country, including Yanka Kupala State University, represented by Rector Iryna Kiturka and Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Liavontsi Paulau.
The meeting discusses cooperation between Belarus and China in higher, vocational and digital education, as well as the teaching of the Belarusian and Chinese languages.
A number of events and negotiations are planned as part of the Belarusian delegation's visit to China.
Kupalovtsy as part of the Belarusian national team won silver in the World Beach Soccer Championship
The graduates of Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno, who played in the national team of our country, performed at the international arena under the leadership of Nicolas Alvarado. The Belarusian team defeated the national team of Senegal at the ½ final stage. The international tournament was held in the Seychelles.
Yesterday, on May 11, the team of the Republic of Belarus played with the reigning champions - the team of Brazil. With a score of 3:4, the Belarusians made it to the final and confidently took silver. Graduates of YKSUG - Nikita Chaikovsky and Oleg Gapon showed their skills in accurate kicks and decisive interceptions during the game.
It should be noted that Oleg Gapon, a graduate of the Faculty of History, Communication and Tourism, played 247 games and scored 244 goals. Nikita Chaikovsky, a graduate of the Faculty of Law, played 242 games and scored 71 goals. Let us remind you that in 2024 the national beach football team of the Republic of Belarus reached only the semi-finals in the UAE.

Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno hosts a visit by representatives of the Law Enforcement Academy (The Republic of Uzbekistan)
From April 22 to April 25, Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno hosts a visit by representatives of the Law Enforcement Academy from the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Irina Kiturko, Rector of the Yanka Kupala State University, invited the guests to get acquainted with the university through a presentation and discuss important issues related to international cooperation. The Law Enforcement Academy was presented by Durbek Turakhonov, Deputy Head of the Law Enforcement Academy of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Foreign partners are interested in a wide range of cooperation, including academic mobility, educational projects and scientific interaction. The meeting resulted in the signing of a cooperation agreement between the parties.
The program of the visit includes acquaintance with the Faculty of Law, a tour of the university and a visit to the Centre for Patriotic Education, participation in the opening of the Interuniversity Olympiad in Law.
The discussion on the prospects of cooperation at the Faculty of Law is planned. There will be meetings at the Department of Criminal Law and Criminal Procedure, as well as participation in an international scientific and practical conference of students, undergraduates and postgraduates.

Immersion in history: international students of Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno visited iconic places in Minsk
The 1st and 2nd year students majoring in History and Language Support of Intercultural Communication from the Faculty of History, Communication and Tourism of Yanka Kupala State University took part in an exciting excursion trip to Minsk, the capital of Belarus. This event was organized by the faculty for students who actively participate in university and faculty events, and was an excellent opportunity to broaden their horizons and get acquainted with the cultural heritage of the Republic of Belarus.
The tour was led by Svetlana Khudarganova, Coordinator for Internationalization, and Roman Grigorchuk the Lecturer at the Department of Tourism and Cultural Heritage. The students visited the Museum of the Great Patriotic War, where they were able to gain a deeper understanding of the historical events that influenced the formation of modern Belarus. The museum's exposition includes not only artifacts, but also multimedia installations that create a complete immersion in the atmosphere of those days.
The next item on the program was the National Library of the Republic of Belarus, one of the most modern and significant architectural structures in the country. The students got acquainted with the rich book collection and innovative technologies used in librarianship. The unique shape of the building and its interior made an indelible impression on the students.
In addition, a walking tour of interesting places in Minsk was organized as part of the tour. The participants were able to walk through the beautiful streets of the capital, admire the architecture, as well as visit iconic monuments and parks. This event was an important step in the formation of an active civic position among students.
