Overall objective of the project: Promotion of local culture and history by the development of cross-border region through the design of a brand-new tourist product (the route "Orzeszkowa's life and work paths") in Grodno, as well as the improvement of the already existing one ("Zamenhof's route in Bialystok") in Bialystok.
Specific objectives
- Conduct collaborative research on the value of different places in Grodno and Bialystok connected to Orzeszkowa's and Zamenhof's lives and works in order to develop a proper promotion system for their tourist routes.
- Improve the marketing of the cross-border area via designing and installing of information boards at the key points of the tourist route "Orzeszkowa's life and work paths" which will include places in Grodno, Grodno and Shchuchyn regions connected with the life and works of the Polish author.
- Promote the cross-border region among its inhabitants and foreign tourists by creating tourist booklets and project web-site, as well as training specialists capable of providing cross-border bilingual Belarusian-Polish excursions

As part of an international initiative, Kupala students were engaged in cleaning the coastal zone of the Neman river.
An international project to restore order near reservoirs started in 2017 and was aimed at cleaning the banks of the Rhine. Belarus is participating in an environmental flashmob for the first time. In 2020, hundreds of activists of the Grodno and Minsk regions, including students of the Yanka Kupala Grodno state University, simultaneously went to the banks of the Neman river to restore order on the coastal territory.

Registration for CT of 2020 has been completed
In Grodno region 5426 applicants will take part in the centralized testing.
This year, you could declare your desire to participate in the CT online. For example, 82 percent of applicants were registered in Grodno region through electronic submission of applications.
– This year almost five and a half thousand applicants will write 18311 tests in 15 subjects. The most numerous in terms of the number of participants will be entrance tests in Russian, Mathematics, as well as English and Belarusian, – the head of the Regional Centre for Testing and Vocational Guidance of Youth of the Faculty of Pre-University Education of Yanka Kupala State University Aksana Valyuk said.
This year 4078 applicants are planning to take Russian, 2924 - Mathematics, 2079 people will write tests in English, and 1736 – in Belarusian. The least amount of tests in the region will be written in French-34, Spanish-11, the test in Chinese will be taken by only 1 entrant. The CT locations will traditionally operate in Grodno, Lida and Volkovysk. – In Grodno region, entrance tests will be held in 10 buildings of educational institutions, it is planned to use more than 140 classrooms, - the head of the Regional Center for Testing and Vocational Guidance of Youth Aksana Valyuk said. – In total, the region will have more than 6 thousand seats for applicants. This is a thousand more than last year. Thus, the organizers of the CT will be able to ensure that a safe distance between applicants is observed, which is very important in the current epidemiological situation.
For those who have registered to participate in the CT, this year's entrance tests will begin on June 25, and will end on July 16. As always, there are also reserve days of the Central Bank: July 19, 21 and 23. Registration of applicants for centralized testing on reserve days will be carried out from 12 to 17 July.
The "hotline" of the Ministry of education of the Republic of Belarus for the entrance campaign-2020 is working
The "hotline" is organized to help applicants get information about the course of the entrance campaign in educational institutions.
Calls for admission to institutions of vocational, secondary special and higher education are received by phone (017) 222 43 12. According to the press center of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus, the hotline is open on weekdays from 9.00 to 18.00 with a lunch break from 13.00 to 14.00.
Applicants and their legal representatives can get answers to all questions concerning the organization of the entrance campaign this year by calling the "hotline" during the period from June 1 to August 19.

YKSUG transferred funds to the account of Vasilishki house-boarding school
The transfer of 1 thousand rubles took place as part of the celebration of the International Children's Day.
157 children live in Vasilishki boarding house, receive treatment and care, as well as attend classes and learn the skills necessary for successful social adaptation. Representatives of Yanka Kupala State University are members of the Board of Trustees of this institution and regularly hold charity events for children – Kupala residents have been fulfilling the wishes of students of Vasilishki boarding house since 2016.
Every year, volunteer students and teachers visit Vasilishki boarding school for children with disabilities and special psychophysical development, participate and hold festive events there, and organize actions in the city and the university aimed at helping the children of the boarding house.
Traditionally, before the New Year in the framework of the "Our children" campaign and on the International Children's Day, the management, employees and volunteers congratulate the children, spend time with them, give gifts and their attention. In addition, the faculties of Yanka Kupala State University host charity fairs and events, the funds collected from which are transferred to the boarding house.
