Yanka Kupala Grodno State University signed a cooperation agreement with Tomsk State University

The signing took place during the visit of the Grodno region delegation to Russia. The official delegation of the Grodno region consisting of the Chairman of the Grodno Regional Executive Committee Vladimir Karanik, Assistant to the President of the Republic of  Belarus – Inspector for the Grodno region Yury Karaev, Chairman of the Grodno Regional Council of Deputies Elena Pasyuta, Deputy Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee Vitaly Nevera, representatives of enterprises and higher educational institutions of the Prineman  Region  from May 30 to 31 visits the Tomsk  region of the Russian Federation.

Interregional cooperation between the Grodno and Tomsk regions has been going on for decades and is carried out within the framework of the Agreement on Trade, Economic, Scientific, Technical and Cultural Cooperation between the Grodno Regional Executive Committee and the Tomsk Region. The first Vice-rector Aleksandr Karevskiy represents Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno in the work of the delegation. A solemn signing of documents is planned, including an agreement on cooperation between the Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno and Tomsk State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering.

Participation in this visit  will  allow  Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno to establish closer cooperation with universities and organizations of Tomsk in the field of education, science and culture; will contribute to the implementation of joint research projects in various areas, will allow organizing participation in scientific and educational events, including in specialized schools planned to be held at partner universities; will provide an opportunity to establish exchange of employees for internships and lectures, including within the framework of the "Visiting Professor" program.

Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno signed memoranda with education institutions in Zimbabwe

The signing took place during the visit to the Republic of Belarus of a delegation of educational institutions and organizations of Zimbabwe headed by the Minister of Higher and Secondary Special Education, Innovation, Science and Technological Development of the country Amon Murvira. The meeting was held at the Ministry of Education of Belarus. The national system was represented by the heads of higher education institutions headed by Minister Andrei Ivanets.

On the part of Yanka Kupala Grodno State University of Grodno, the first Vice-rector Aleksandr Karevskiy took part in the signing ceremony of interuniversity documents.

A memorandum of understanding was signed between Harare Polytechnic College and Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno, as well as a memorandum of understanding between Mindland State University and Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno.

Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno students are invited to take part in the competition "Immersive tours, excursions, EVENT events"

The international competition is dedicated to the development and popularization of the tourist potential of the territories, the use of modern technologies in the tourism industry.

The purpose of the competition is to support initiatives, realize creative opportunities and reveal the tourist and excursion potential of the territories.

The competition is held on the basis of the Department "Tourism, Hotel and Restaurant business" of the Omsk State Technical University.

Participation in the competition is possible in the following nominations:

– "Welcome to our region for impressions!" – projects of immersion tours, excursions, event events;

– "Ethno-cultural traditions as an object of tourist interest";

– "Local stories, local heroes, myths, traditions";

– "Collection of tourist emotions!" – photo contest;

– "Tourist quests";

– tours and excursions with virtual and/or augmented reality technologies;

– "Tourist-creator" – activities to involve tourists and tourists in the formation and preservation of the cultural environment of the local space;

– "Palette of tastes" – gastronomic tours, excursions, master classes, etc.;

– "Master of immersion technologies" – the practice of using immersion technologies by guides, tour operators, suppliers of tourist services, accommodation, catering, etc.

Head of the Department of Civil Law and Process took part in the XIII Eurasian Economic Youth Forum

On April 25-26, Doctor of Law, Professor, Head of the Department of Civil Law and Procedure Igor Martynenko took part in the work of the XIII Eurasian Economic Youth Forum as a co-chairman of the International Student Research Competition “Law and Business: Evolution and Innovation”.

The forum brought together participants from 108 countries: schoolchildren, students, officials and entrepreneurs, scientists and diplomats came to Yekaterinburg - about 12 thousand people in total. This year's theme was "A multipolar world in the focus of a new reality."

The expert activity of the representative of Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno Igor Martynenko was highly noted by the organizing committee of the Eurasian Economic Forum, as evidenced by the letter of thanks from the rector of the Ural State Economic University, Professor Yakov Silin.

A solemn ceremony of handing over books by the Solzhenitsyn House of the Russian Abroad as a gift to the Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno took place

Russian publishing houses have donated 300 copies of new books to the Kupala Library, including books by the Russian Way publishing House, as well as leading Russian publishing houses Nauka, Moscow University Publishing House, Iskusstvo, Vagrius, Eksmo, AST-Press Book, Zlatoust, Russian Language. Russian literature, russian classical and modern literature, books devoted to the historical and cultural heritage of Russian emigration, dictionaries and textbooks on the russian language are numerous.

The book transfer ceremony took place in the form of a book exhibition and a meeting with guests of Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno. "The House of the Russian Abroad is handing over books to Kupala University, one of the leading educational institutions in Belarus, for the second time. We have brought new books on the history and culture of Russia, classical and modern Russian fiction, textbooks, dictionaries. Traditionally, the House of the Russian Abroad not only gives books, but also organizes meetings of teachers and students with specialists from Russia. Russian Russian is our task to develop international academic contacts and the growth of interest in Russian culture, literature and the Russian language."

Also within the framework of the event for students of the specialty «Russian Philology» Alexander Pashkov, PhD, Head of the Department of World Literature of the Pushkin State Institute of the Russian Language, will give a lecture on the topic "A grandson listening to his grandfather and rebelling against his father: faces and generations of modern Russian literature."

Yuri Makushin, head of the «Russian cooperation» representative office in Belarus, noted that strong friendly relations between the peoples of Russia and Belarus are based on a solid foundation of our common historical and cultural heritage.

Acting Consul General of Russia in Belarus Pavel Morozov mentioned that cooperation between Russia and Belarus has a huge potential in the development of the educational sphere. According to him, such cooperation can "show the whole world the true principles of friendship and cooperation in the name of creation."

We believe that in our age of a rapid flow of information, all participants in the ceremony of donating books to the university will have time for a classic pleasant pastime with a book in their hands.

"Novruz" is the name of the vernal equinox day, which the inhabitants of Central Asia celebrate on March 21.

To hold the festival "Novruz Bayram" in the walls of Kupala University is a long and good tradition that annually unites students from different countries. The online meeting was held with the participation of the Dean of the Faculty of Law Svetlana Cheburanova, Deputy Dean Olga Lapa, Master's student of the Faculty of Law, Chairman of the fraternity of foreign students Arslan Otuzov and 1st year student of the specialty “International Law” Haonan Zhang.

The students told about their studies and the events in which they take part, about the fellowship of foreign students of Yanka Kupala Grodno State University. A video clip prepared by foreign students was shown, as well as a presentation of three joint programs in the specialty “International Law”, a special interest was aroused by the correspondence form of education. During the meeting, the emphasis was placed on the mutual recognition of diplomas of higher education in these states.

At the end of the meeting, time was allotted for answering questions from the audience. Foreign participants were interested in tuition fees, peculiarities of the organization of the educational process, assessments and their criteria, distance education, practical training, learning foreign languages.

Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno summed up the results of the International Olympiad on the production of public catering products

The Department of Technology, Physiology and Food Hygiene of the Faculty of Biology and Ecology of the Yanka Kupala State University held a Remote Olympiad on the production of catering products among college students and catering workers.

The Olympiad brought together 87 participants from various institutions of higher and secondary special education: Almaty Technological University, Kemerovo Technical School of the Food Industry and Services, Belgorod State National Research University, College of Culinary Skills, Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University, Bukhara Institute of Engineering and Technology, Polotsk State College of Chemical Technology, Grodno State College branch technologies, Minsk State College of Cooking.

The Olympiad was held in one stage, which involved the completion of 50 tasks in a test form in two disciplines – "Cooking technology" and "Organization of production and service in public catering facilities".

According to the results of the Olympiad, all participants received certificates, and the winners were awarded diplomas of 1, 2, 3 degrees. The scientific supervisors who prepared the children for participation in the Olympiad received gratitudes.

The most active participants were Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University, Kemerovo Technical School of Food and Services Industry, Almaty Technological University.

The Olympiad is aimed at attracting talented and gifted youth, improving the professional skills and creative activity of students, students of institutions of secondary special education and catering workers, activating the research activities of young people.

Kupala students are invited to take part in the A.A. Gromyko competition of young CIS internationalists

The competition has been held since 2018 and for 5 years has brought together more than 1,600 young scientists, diplomats, representatives of public organizations and commercial structures. The competition is aimed at expanding the dialogue of young researchers and diplomats, as well as at intensifying the interaction of research and educational institutions of the CIS and the EAEU. The competition is open to students and graduates of higher education institutions, postgraduates, scientists, teachers, journalists, analysts, business professionals, representatives of public organizations, diplomats from CIS member states under 40 years of age.

To participate in the competition, it is necessary to submit an application by May 15, 2023 inclusive via an electronic form on the official website of the competition containing the participant's questionnaire and the competitive work.
