Training seminar at the University of Applied Sciences Joanneum (Austria)

Irina Korlyukova, PhD (Physics and Mathematics), Associate Professor, Head of the Department of Modern Technologies of Pre-University Education took part in the first seminar of the Erasmus + "Change in Classroom: Promoting Innovative Teaching & Learning to Enhance Student Learning Experience in Eastern Partnership Countries" (PRINTeL) project.

 

A training seminar on "Hybrid / Blended Teaching and Learning" was held at the Joanneum University of Applied Sciences in Graz (Austria).

During five days, participants from Armenia, Georgia and Belarus studied a wide range of higher education issues:

- Blended learning: advantages and disadvantages.

- How to become a successful blended learning moderator?

- Is reflection necessary in the process of blended learning?

- How to organize e-learning on the MOODLe platform?

- How to create an online student portfolio?

- How to develop e-learning materials?

- What is the peculiarity of using mobile user programs and tools?

- How do electronic resources help to implement the project-based teaching method?

The participants of the seminar used the acquired knowledge during teamwork on educational projects, which they presented to their colleagues at the final study session.

Participants of the PRINTeL project from Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno, after getting acquainted with educational innovations in five European universities, will become moderators of advanced training courses for the teaching staff “University of Educational Innovation: Theory, Methodology and Practice of Modern Education”. The courses will be held in several stages from January to May 2019. It is planned that teachers from all departments of Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno will become their participants.
