Polotsk State University has hosted a regular working meeting of the participants of the project "University Teaching and Learning Enhancement" (UniTeLе)

During the two-day meeting representatives of 6 Belarusian partner universities has discussed the prospects of developing a teacher training program, which will include the following modules: "Quality as a culture", "Innovative teaching methods", " Team building and the "Learn from an equal "strategy", "Leadership and Social Responsibility", "Psychology of interactive learning", "Curriculum development and course design".

 

The developers have focused on the issues of module design, objectives and learning outcomes and outputs. It is assumed that as a result of mastering the program, teachers of Belarusian universities will gain experience in organizing an effective educational process based on innovative teaching methods, get an idea of ​​how to assess the educational activities of students, be able to take part in internal quality control, and learn to develop curricula for disciplines in accordance with the requirements of the modern labor market.

During the meeting, an online presentation of the quality management system of the Heidelberg University of Education (Germany) took place. The project partners informed about the latest decisions taken in this direction. In particular, from the winter semester of the 2020/2021 academic year, the Senate Commission for the Development of Quality and Accreditation will begin to function. It will discuss the quality of curricula and develop recommendations for their improvement. It will also be responsible for the preparation and conduct of internal accreditation.

On the second day of the working meeting, the team of the National Erasmus + Office in the Republic of Belarus has conducted a preliminary monitoring of the UniTeLe project. During the joint discussion, the conditions were determined, thanks to which the successful implementation of the project in a timely manner is possible.

The Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno was represented by Oleg Kolyago, the Head of the Laboratory of Educational Innovations, who is an expert in the "Innovative teaching methods" module.
