Registration and check-in hostel
Dear international students!
We inform you that on the day of crossing of the boarder of the Republic of Belarus or the following day, international citizens shall apply to the Recruiting and Registration of International Citizens Department of the University (on Grodno, 32 Lenina street, office 2) to submit passport for registration.
Steps for registration and dormitory check-in:
- • Pay for registration at the bank or post office
- • Bring the receipt and insurance policy (Countries which do not need insurance policy- Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Russia, Kazakhstan, The Ukraine)
- • Submit passport and other mentioned above documents to the representative of the Department to organize registration at the Migration Department.
- • Submit all the documents needed for admission to the representative of the Department
- • Citizens of Turkmenistan are obliged to apply to Hygiene and Epidemiology Centre (7, Budenogo street) to sanitize things
- • Apply to the Health Center of the University (23 Gaspadarchaya street) for initial medical examination and conclusion of dormitory check-in, present copies of medical certificates and fluorography test results
- • Check in to the university hostel on the address indicated in the referral to accommodation.
- • Undergo a medical examination needed for admission on the local public health authority (17, Ostrovskogo street) within 3 days upon arrival.
NOTE! All international students are provided with the place of the university hostel.
Additional information about law instruction of the Republic of Belarus
Preparatory department for foreign citizens (learning Russian language and academic subjects necessary to enter Higher Educational Establishments of the Republic of Belarus to obtain higher education in accordance with the chosen training profile).
After completion of the program students are issued Certificates, allowing to continue their education at higher educational establishments of the Republic of Belarus.
Preparatory department for foreign citizens and stateless persons, temporarily staying (residing) on the territory of the Republic of Belarus.

If residents of your country need a visa to come to Belarus, then you will need to get our university to send you an invitation to study and apply for a student visa at the Belarusian embassy in your country.
If your country does not have a diplomatic mission or consulate of the Republic of Belarus, you can obtain a visa upon arrival at the Minsk National Airport (at the Division for the Admission of Foreigners of the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs).
NOTE! Remember to inform our university about the date of your arrival to Belarus! It is very important for the University to organize your transfer from the airport and make documents for hostel check-in. The additional information about the official university transfer you can find here.
NOTE! Upon arrival to Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno, the registration is obligatory within 1 working day after crossing the National border of the Republic of Belarus. To organize the registration, please provide the university with your passport with the Entry Study Visa to the Republic of Belarus (purpose of travel- education).
All international students of our university are provided with the place in the hostel. The accommodation fee is around 40 USD per month.
To start the admission procedure, please submit to the university the documents, indicated in your invitation letter.
After that you will need to go through the interview process in the university. The interview can be in English or Russian (depending on the chosen language of instruction).
If you pass the interview, you can sign the agreement on education and pay tuition fee.

TWO REPRESENTATIVES OF YANKA KUPALA STATE UNIVERSITY OF GRODNO TOOK PART IN THE STUDY VISIT AND INFORMATION SEMINAR AT THE UNIVERSITY OF BARCELONA AND WORKSHOP-TRAINING AT THE UNIVERSITY OF PORTO
On June 11-16, 2018 the representatives of Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno Darya Shpak, Head of educational and methodical department for quality management of education and Sviatlana Hanchar, Head of the Department of Foreign Languages participated in the Study Visit and Information Seminar at the University of Barcelona and Workshop-training at the University of Porto within the framework of the Erasmus+ project PRINTeL - “Change in Classroom: Promoting Innovative Teaching and Learning to Enhance Student Learning Experience in Eastern Partnership Countries”.
The Study Visit and Information Seminar at the University of Barcelona took place on June 11-12, 2018. The representatives of YKSUG got acquainted with modern experience of the Teaching Staff Development Centers (TSDC), their activity, structure and undergoing training programmes. The main organizers of the event were Joan-Thomàs Pujolà and Marina Sole Catala – professors at the University of Barcelona (BU). During the seminars the representatives of the Project’s European partner universities made presentations and shared their experience. The Workshop-Training «Sharing Experiences, Promoting Bridges in Education» was held in the University of Porto. The main objective of the Workshop-Training was the development of Eastern PC universities TSDC administrative staff’s competence in the area of operation of TSDCs, development and realization of innovative training programmes and working out of new operational plans. One of the tasks for the participants of the workshop was the development of a concept of TSDC. During the round table meeting, the representatives of Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno, Belarusian State University and Brest State Technical University discussed the prospects for the development of the Belarusian system of qualification upgrading and retraining as well as presented their vision of TSDC in the structure of the higher education institution.
The first coordination meeting of the Project Steering Committee (PSC) took place on June 16, 2018 at the University of Porto, where European and Eastern PC institutional coordinators participated. During the coordination meeting the Work group leaders reported on the progress of activities in the framework of the project. The Coordination meeting was chaired by the head of PRINTeL project, director of YSU Quality Assurance Center Armen Budaghyan.
