Negotiations in the field of abbreviated education with the leadership of the Yangier branch of the Tashkent Institute of Chemical Technology were held at the Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno

On December 16, an online meeting was held between the management of the colleges of the Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno and the Yangier branch of the Tashkent Institute of Chemical Technology. The purpose of the negotiations was to develop cooperation in training personnel in the system of reduced education and transitional educational programs.

On the part of Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno, the event was attended by Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Liavontsi Paulau, Director of the College of Technology Andrey But, Director of Lida College Andrey Semashko, head of the Center for Internationalization of Education Alena Belakoz, Head of the Department of International Projects and Academic Mobility Alesia Belko and a leading specialist of the Department of International Cooperation Hanna Milasheuskaya.

After welcoming the university leaders, the parties presented the educational opportunities of their educational institutions and exchanged experiences in implementing abbreviated programs in the "technical school/college+" system. UNIVERSITY".

Discussing cooperation in the system of abbreviated education, special attention was paid to the mechanisms of admission of college graduates to abbreviated programs, the transfer of academic disciplines and learning outcomes, the coordination of curricula and graduate competencies. The parties also discussed the joint development of transitional curricula, a modular and credit-based approach to teaching, and the use of distance and blended learning.

A special emphasis in the discussion was placed on the practice-oriented training of personnel – the organization of internships, internships for students and teachers, as well as interaction with industrial enterprises.

As a result of the negotiations, the parties came to a decision to prepare a pilot project of shortened education for the Yangier branch of the Tashkent Institute of Chemical Technology, which will include elements of the Belarusian experience. The participants agreed to sign a Memorandum of Cooperation and appoint project coordinators, as well as discussed a plan for further actions.

The creation of such a joint project is an important step in improving the interaction between colleges and universities, as well as the foundation for long-term and productive cooperation between Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno and the Yangier branch of the Tashkent Institute of Chemical Technology.
