Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno at the celebration was presented by Yuliya Dedkova and Olga Nazarova, Faculty of Law graduates, German Baytinger, Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics graduate, Veronika Komar, Faculty of Philology graduate, Ivan Belevskiy, Faculty of Physical Education graduate and Aleksei Kutafin, Military Faculty graduate. Total number of the invited guests was 222 former students from 52 higher educational institutions of Belarus. Among the guests there were the best graduates of Belarusian universities, winners of Olympiads and contests, laureates of Special Funds of the President of the Republic of Belarus.

   At his speech, the President pointed the symbolism of the situation, when today graduates begin their work as specialists in the first year of new Five-Year Plan, which is believed to bring dynamic development. The president also said that the state relies on youth, and the future of the use is the concern of Belarus and it does everything necessary, providing the first employment according to the speciality, in particular. The president mentioned later, that graduates entered a new, very important period of professional growth. This period would test what they had learned and how they would use their knowledge in daily work.

   At the Republican ball for graduates of higher education institutions Aleksandr Lukashenko also gave state awards to the lecturers and leaders of Belarusian higher education institutions for their long productive work, marvelous achievements in professional activity, as well as, for significant contribution in training highly qualified specialists. Some lecturers and students were granted the Gratitude of the President of Belarus, including Yuliya Dedkova, Law Faculty of YKSUG graduate.
