In addition, the guest gave lectures on the subject of Mediation in the American Criminal Law, law in the US, the use of mediation, labor disputes and their resolution in the process of mediation.
During the meeting, Frank C. Laney told the participants about the origin of mediation in the US and in North Carolina, held a master class, during which students are introduced to the basic stages and styles of mediation, and the use of mediation skills in counseling.

Frank C. Laney is Circuit Mediator for the U.S. Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals. He is chair of the State Judicial Council Dispute Resolution Committee and ex officio member of the N.C. Dispute Resolution Commission. He is also an adjunct instructor at Campbell University and North Carolina Central University. Laney is certified by the North Carolina Dispute Resolution Commission and as a practitioner member of the Academy of Family Mediators. In 2004 Frank C. Laney won Nobel Peace Prize.
