Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno hosted a meeting of the Joint Board of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Belarus, Kazakhstan and Russia
On October 11, a meeting of the Joint Board of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Belarus, Kazakhstan and Russia was held on the basis of Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno. Rector Irina Kiturko met the guests and conducted a tour of the university.
The event was attended by Minister of Emergency Situations of Belarus Vadim Sinyavsky, Minister of the Russian Federation for Civil Defense, Emergencies and Disaster Relief Alexander Kurenkov and Deputy Minister of Emergency Situations of Kazakhstan Bauyrzhan Syzdykov.
The heads of the rescue agencies of Belarus, Kazakhstan and Russia discussed the effectiveness and summed up the results of trilateral cooperation in the field of emergency prevention and response, as well as such important issues as cooperation in case of emergencies in border areas and the organization of a system of joint response to major natural and man-made accidents.
Opening the event, Vadim Sinyavsky stressed that the interaction of the emergency departments of Belarus, Kazakhstan and Russia is not only of a multifaceted professional nature, but also an example of good-neighborly open and friendly relations.
According to the source of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Belarus, during the meeting, priority areas of work for next year were identified and the minutes of the meeting of the Joint Board were signed. According to the document, next year rescuers of the three countries will hold a number of events aimed at improving professional training, including practical seminars on the exchange of experience in the use of unmanned aerial vehicles, emergency rescue operations in multi-storey buildings, at facilities with a mass stay of people and at enterprises for the production and storage of explosives.
