Training seminar at the Linköping University (Sweden)

Two representatives of Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno took part in the training "Active Learning in the Flipped Classroom", which was held at the Linköping University (Sweden).

 

The training was organized within the framework of the Erasmus + "Change in Classroom: Promoting Innovative Teaching & Learning to Enhance Student Learning Experience in Eastern Partnership Countries" (PRINTeL) project.

Daria Shpak, PhD (Physics and Mathematics), Associate Professor, Head of Academic Affairs Department on Educational Quality Management and Konstantin Smotritsky, PhD (Physics and Mathematics), Associate Professor, Associate Professor at the Department of Fundamental and Applied Mathematics, together with representatives of leading universities in Sweden, Armenia, Georgia and Belarus, discussed a wide a range of problems associated with the development of training courses, which are based on methods of active learning, the form of flipped design and the use of modern digital technologies.

During seminars, discussions and master classes, practical assignments on a given topic were offered to be performed in groups in order to improve the pedagogical skills of using these technologies in the educational process.

As a final project, the participants had to develop a curriculum for training courses based on the use of an active form of blended learning.

At the end of the training, the participants received "The PRINTeL Project Training-of-trainers course "Active Learning in the Flipped Classroom" certificates.

Participants of the PRINTeL project from Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno, after getting acquainted with educational innovations in five European universities, will become moderators of advanced training courses for the teaching staff “University of Educational Innovation: Theory, Methodology and Practice of Modern Education”. The courses will be held in several stages from January to May 2019. It is planned that teachers from all departments of Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno will become their participants.
