A “Best student group” contest was held in Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno. The event was arranged in a new format.

   Previously, the event was held in absentia. This year it was organized in three stages. In the first stage each of 14 faculties chose its own best group. During the second stage of the contest the selected groups presented their portfolios “We are the team” and video clips “Our group is the best!” Finally, in the third stage, in the contest finale held on May 23, 2016, students from Philological Faculty, Faculty of History, Communication and Tourism, Faculty of       Engineering and Construction, Faculty of Innovative Mechanic Engineering, Faculty of Psychology and Faculty of Pedagogy demonstrated their talents.
   During the finale our students sang, danced, recited poetry, acted and even staged propaganda campaigns calling students to transfer to their specialty.
   By the way, deans, vice-deans, lecturers and students came to encourage the contestants.
Oksana Viktorovna Kotova, Head of Youth Educational Work Office, presided in the jury.
   According to the results of the contest, group 121 “Transport Logistics” (Faculty of Innovative Mechanic Engineering), with Darya Korol as captain, was announced the best group. The second was given to group 121 “Industrial and civil construction” (Faculty of Engineering and Construction), with Veronika Markach as captain. The third place was taken by group 141 “Psychology” (Faculty of Psychology), withAleksandra Prus as captain.
