Svetlana Gonchar, PhD (Philology), Associate Professor, Head of the Department of Foreign Languages took part in the third seminar of the Erasmus + "Change in Classroom: Promoting Innovative Teaching & Learning to Enhance Student Learning Experience in Eastern Partnership Countries" (PRINTeL) project.

A training seminar on “Video as a Learning tool for teachers and students: Video Lecturing and promoting Interaction in the Classroom” was held at the University of Porto (Portugal).

During the seminar, representatives of the leading universities in Armenia, Georgia and Belarus were invited to discuss a wide range of problems related to the possibilities of using training videos in the educational process of higher education institutions:

- Video as a tool for university education.

- Interactive technology in the classroom: using video as a tool for blended learning.

- The use of video for educational purposes: a view from the perspective of a teacher or a student.

- Features of creating and editing educational video content using the Panopto platform.

- Instructional videos as the basis of distance learning.

- Video as a tool for working with students with special needs.

Along with attending lectures, seminars and workshops, the participants were invited, individually or in a group, to film and edit a video presentation of the training course using the capabilities of the Panopto educational platform. The videos presented at the final study session of the course were not only highly appreciated by the course moderators Maria Pinto and Nuno Regadas, but also caused a vigorous discussion among the participants of the seminar.

Participants of the PRINTeL project from Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno, after getting acquainted with educational innovations in five European universities, will become moderators of advanced training courses for the teaching staff “University of Educational Innovation: Theory, Methodology and Practice of Modern Education”. The courses will be held in several stages from January to May 2019. It is planned that teachers from all departments of Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno will become their participants.
