Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno took part in a seminar and an international conference within the educational project "MaCICT"

 

 

The events were devoted to the problems of modernization of master's programs of the IT majors, as well as to the issues of ICT management for global competitiveness and economic growth in emerging economies.

A seminar for representatives of 5 Belarusian partner universities participating in the educational project "MaCICT" (Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno, Brest State Technical University, Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics, Sukhoi State Technical University of Gomel and Polotsk State University) was held in Minsk on the basis of Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics in October. Professors from European partner universities took part in the seminar online: University of Applied Sciences Emden/Leer (Germany), Lappeenranta University of Technology (Finland) and University of Wroclaw (Poland). Workshops were held within the seminar. During the workshops the participants worked in teams, created, discussed and defended pedagogical projects.

And recently, the VIII International Conference on ICT Management for Global Competitiveness and Economic Growth in Emerging Economies ICTM 2021 was held at the University of Wroclaw. At the conference held within the international educational project "MaCICT", representatives of Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno made presentations: Lada Rudikava, Head of the Department of Modern Programming Technologies, Anna Karkanitsa and Anna Deytseva, Associate Professors of the Department of Modern Programming Technologies,  Anatoly Bahdzievich, Associate Professor of the Department of English Philology, Sviatlana Gorskaya and Zoya Sidarovich, Associate Professors of the Department of Russian Philology.

Within the international educational project "MaCICT", the structure and content of the Master's programme curriculum of Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno in the major "Computer Engineering" were significantly revised in accordance with the key objective of the project, which is improving the employment opportunities of graduates in the field of IT, supporting entrepreneurship and setting up medium and small IT-businesses. An individual approach to learning has been implemented, teaching materials have been updated with a focus on interdisciplinary learning, as well as the curriculum now includes disciplines for the development of graduate soft skills and competencies, entrepreneurial skills and intercultural communication skills.
