Today, on November 4, the 10th meeting of the Working Commission for the Coordination of the activities of the Scientific and Educational Consortium between higher education institutions and Research Institutes of the Republic of Belarus and the Republic of Kazakhstan was held in Minsk on the basis of BNTU. Natalia Bashun, Vice-Rector for Research at Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno, took part in the meeting on behalf of Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno.
The 10th meeting of the Working Committee was opened by Sergey Kharitonchik, Rector of BNTU, coordinator of the Consortium's activities from the Belarusian side. In his speech, he noted that this meeting would give a completely different impetus to cooperation between Belarus and Kazakhstan. The Rector of the L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University, coordinator of the Consortium's activities from the Kazakh side, representatives of the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus in the Republic of Kazakhstan and representatives of the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the Republic of Belarus also delivered welcoming speeches.
During the working session, the participants summed up the results of the implementation of the Action Plan of the Scientific and Educational Consortium between Higher Education Institutions and Research Institutes of the Republic of Belarus and the Republic of Kazakhstan in 2023-2025 and discussed the issue of including new members of the Consortium -universities and research institutes.

The guests of Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno were citizens of the People's Republic of China and a delegation from the Institute of Engineering Technology of Chengdu University of Technology. The meeting was held on November 3 to discuss promising areas of cooperation.
The delegation of the People's Republic of China included Wang Ke, Rector of the Institute of Engineering Technology of Chengdu University of Technology, Xu Qiujui, Vice-rector of the Institute, Li Ren, Director of the Center for Continuing Education, Tian Di, General Secretary, Director of the Managing Committee of the Charitable Foundation for Support of Education and Development of Talented Students of the People's Republic of China, and an employee of the Charitable Foundation for Support of Education and Development of Talented Students of the People's Republic of China Ekaterina Ignatieva.
Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno was represented by Liavontsi Paulau, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Gennady Gachko, Dean of the Faculty of Physics and Technology, Dmitry Linnik, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Alena Belakoz, Head of the Center for Internationalization of Education, Volha Minava, Head of the International Cooperation Department.
After the introductory remarks, representatives of each side of the Chinese partners were introduced to Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno by showing a video about the university. Then the discussion of promising areas of interuniversity cooperation began. During the dialogue, the parties discussed the joint master's degree program that undergraduate students of the Institute of Engineering Technology of Chengdu University of Technology can complete, the development of academic mobility of students with the Institute of Innovative Technologies in Mechanical Engineering in the fields of Materials Processing, Engineering Equipment and others, and the development of academic mobility of students with the Institute of Physical Technology in the fields of Engineering Robotics.
After the dialogue, the guests were given a sightseeing tour of Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno, told about its history, stages of development and achievements. Then the Chinese partners got acquainted with the engineering and physics and technology faculties of the university.

It was held to discuss current areas of cooperation: 0.3+0.7 one-year master's degree programs in law, economics, educational management, journalism, psychology, art and aesthetic education, as well as summer master's degree programs.

On October 30, students from the People's Republic of China attended the lecture hall "The Library's Mission in the Context of the University's Mission", organized by Grigory Tretyakov, Coordinator for Internationalization of the Faculty of Law, Associate Professor of the Department of Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure and Criminalistics, and Mikhail Pozharitsky, librarian of the first category of the Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno Scientific Library.
The purpose of the event was to introduce international students to the importance of the Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno Scientific Library in identifying, uncovering, and realizing the spiritual, intellectual, moral, and physical potential of a Person and the University as a corporate environment in the space of intercultural dialogue.
During the lecture, students from the People's Republic of China learned about the scientific, scientific-auxiliary, educational, educational-auxiliary, educational, cultural and leisure functions of the library. International students also got acquainted with the structure of the university library, its traditional and innovative working methods, rich book collection and electronic library resources. Special attention was paid to the role of the library as a modern youth environment.

On October 31, Associate Professor of the Department of Civil Law and Procedure Boris Bolokhonov visited the Embassy of Mongolia to discuss the prospects for further cooperation in academic sciences.
On September 29-30, as part of cooperation between young scientists from Mongolia and Belarus, a Mongolian-Belarusian Forum was held in Ulaanbaatar, which brought together leading experts and researchers from the two countries.
On October 31, Minsk hosted an important meeting dedicated to further cooperation between the academies of Sciences of Belarus and Mongolia. The event became a platform for constructive dialogue and identification of key areas of cooperation between the scientific circles of the two countries.
Participation in this event is a significant contribution to the strengthening of bilateral relations, ensuring the continuation and development of fruitful Mongolian-Belarusian cooperation. Discussing the prospects for further cooperation opens up new horizons for joint research projects, knowledge and experience exchange. Such cooperation also contributes to the integration of Belarusian scientists into the international scientific space, giving them access to new research and world achievements.

The conference was organized by the Center for Civil Society and Non-Profit Sector Studies at the Higher School of Economics. Irina Mersiyanova, Director of the Center for Civil Society and Non-Profit Sector Studies at the Higher School of Economics, represented the program Committee.
The topic of the international conference was "Public self-organization, public administration and local self-government in Russia and abroad". The conference program covered a wide range of issues. In November, the shortened higher education program in the specialty of higher education "Journalism" will begin its work. On October 14, Minsk hosted the third meeting of the Belarusian-Chinese Association of Universities, which became an important stage for strengthening ties between educational institutions of the two countries.
During the meeting, Iryna Kiturka made a presentation on "Mechanisms for the development of regional partnership: the experience of cooperation between Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno and educational institutions of the People's Republic of China", sharing success in establishing ties and emphasizing the importance of strategic partnership and exchange of experience.
The results of the association's activities were summed up, key areas of cooperation were discussed and prospects for the next year were identified. In addition, it was planned to sign 13 cooperation agreements between the Chinese and Belarusian sides, which indicates the desire to further strengthen partnership in the field of higher education.
The key event was the signing of a joint declaration on deepening cooperation in the development of higher education between Belarus and China.

Rector of Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno met with students from the Republic of Uzbekistan as part of a Joint Educational Program

On October 13, Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno hosted a meeting between Rector Iryna Kiturka and students of the Law Enforcement Academy of the Republic of Uzbekistan studying in the framework of a Joint Educational Program specializing in Law.
During the conversation, Iryna Kiturka told the residents about the opportunities that the university provides, and also urged students to be active during their studies.
Students enrolled in this program spend the first two years of their studies at YKSUG, gaining basic theoretical knowledge and practical skills in the field of law. Then they will continue their studies at the Law Enforcement Academy of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Such international cooperation allows students to better understand the legal system of their country and adapt to its peculiarities.
This meeting became an important stage in the implementation of the Joint Educational Program, which allows students to gain unique experience and knowledge in the field of law.

From October 4 to 11, as part of the Visiting Professor program, the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science of Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno hosted Professor Ren Zhilei of Dalian Polytechnic University (PRC), PhD in Mathematics, Professor of the School of Computer Science and Engineering.
During the visit, the professor gave lectures on the disciplines of "System Programming" and "Software Engineering" to students of the 2-3 course of the specialty "Software Engineering". The lectures covered the full cycle of modern software development with an emphasis on automation and the use of artificial intelligence tools. Students delved into such leading areas of software engineering as search-based engineering (SBSE) and repository data analysis (MSR) and the application of large language models (LLM) to help programmers. In practical classes, Ren Zhilei showed how these methods are used to automatically find and fix errors in compilers and assembly systems.
The professor held a scientific seminar for the teaching staff, where he spoke about his research in the field of developing automated error detection methods in compilers, the most fundamental development tools. He also shared the results of research on the development of automated testing methods for the Gazebo robot simulator, a fundamental tool in robotics.
The round table "Scientific research and projects of the School of Computer Science and Engineering of Dalian Polytechnic University" was also held within the framework of the meeting, which was attended by the faculty and students of the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science. The professor held meetings with representatives of the Center for Internationalization of Education, the head of the research department, Anton Glazev, and the head of the Technology Transfer Center, Elena Opekun. The meetings discussed the possibilities of cooperation in the fields of education and science, as well as options for financing projects of Belarusian-Chinese research teams.
A separate meeting was organized for students from China studying at YKSUG under an experimental training program specializing in Information Technology Software. They discussed with the professor the topics of their theses and received consultations on diploma design.
The visit resulted in agreements on maintaining cooperation with the School of Computer Science and Engineering of Dalian Polytechnic University, searching for common scientific interests and those interested in active scientific cooperation.
Employee of YKSUG took part in a meeting of the Expert Advisory Council

The meeting was held on October 6 in St. Petersburg at the headquarters of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly. Rimma Klyuchko, Head of the Department of Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure and Criminalistics at Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno, took part in the event.
The meeting participants discussed the implementation of the current Program of the Assembly's activities for the convergence and harmonization of the national legislation of the CSTO member states for 2021-2025 and the draft for the next five years.
161 events were proposed in the draft of the new Program. Among the proposals were recommendations on improving the criminal legislation of the CSTO member states in the field of countering the use of information and communication technologies for criminal purposes, the CSTO model law "On the Basics of operational Investigative activities", recommendations on the harmonization of national legislation of the Organization's member states regulating the training and use of national peacekeeping contingents.
The Council members also discussed the Assembly's work plan for 2026 and the action plan for the 20th anniversary of the formation of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly.
The next meeting is scheduled for March-April 2026.
