On November 4, Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno is hosting its traditional event "One Day with the Rector". The project is aimed at helping student activists get a closer look at the day-to-day work of the head of a higher education institution and understand the specifics of management processes from the inside.
This year, three students shared a working day with our rector, Iryna Kiturka: Kerman Hojayev, a third-year student of the Faculty of Philology and Head of the Council of Fraternities, Katsiaryna Sirotskaya, a fourth-year student of the Faculty of Engineering and winner of the national "Student of the Year 2025" competition, and Matsvei Karnialiuk, a first-year student of the Faculty of Physics and Technology and a graduate of the multidisciplinary school "Kupalovsky Start".
The working day of the project participants began with a morning meeting with the rector, where the students were present as key tasks for the day were set.
The day's program covered a wide range of areas of university life – from students' living conditions to the research, creative, and spiritual dimensions.
As part of the off-site activities, the initiative's participants visited Student Dormitory No. 7 at 21 Lidskaya Str., where they got acquainted with the living conditions and daily life arrangements of students, attended a prayer service at the Kalozha Church and paid a visit to the Faculty of Arts and Design to see firsthand what promising projects and creative developments the faculty is currently implementing.
And that's only the results of the first half of the day! Much more interesting things await the project participants ahead.
