Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno organized a meeting with the director of the Center for Analysis and Forecasting of Union Integration Processes
Sergey Palagin, director of the Center for Analysis and Forecasting of Union Integration Processes, visited Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno for the first time. During the meeting, the parties discussed the possibilities of collaboration in the field of academic mobility of teachers and students.
During the meeting, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Liavontsi Pavlov presented the scientific and educational potential of Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno. Sergey Palagin, director of the Center for Analysis and Forecasting of Union Integration Processes, in turn spoke about the activities and the results of cooperation with other Belarusian universities. Over the period of 2022-2023, 15 Russian experts visited Belarusian universities. Belarusian scientists and experts in turn spoke at Russian universities. Another vector of discussion was the development of humanitarian co-operation between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus.
Thanks to the meeting, the parties were able to get acquainted and outline plans for further collaboration on the development of academic mobility of employees and students.

The Center for Analysis and Forecasting of Union Integration Processes was established in February 2020 with the assistance of the Gorchakov Fund. One of the main tasks of the center is the organization of educational, scientific and practical events in which participants can get access to the full amount of information about the current integration processes in Belarus and Russia.
STUDENTS OF YANKA KUPALA STATE UNIVERSITY OF GRODNO EARNED AN HONOURABLE MENTION FROM THE MINISTRY OF EDUCATION OF THE REPUBLIC OF BELARUS
Students were honoured for their high achievements in the V International Digital Skills 2023 Championship in the field of digital technologies, in which participants from 14 countries were invited to compete. The championship was held last September in Kazan.
Gratitude was declared to Grigory Bezzubik and Yaroslav Drachev, 4th year students of the Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics, and Daria Perelayko, 1st year student of the Faculty of Art and Design.
The winners in 30 competences were determined in 3 categories: general Russian, international with the participation of foreign and Russian competitors in the relevant competences, as well as the category for participants of distance competitions.
In addition, Shamil Gafarov, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Chief of Staff of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan, Danir Mukhametzyanov, Administrative Director - Chief of Staff of the Agency for the Development of Professions and Skills, and Dr Liu Zhenying, Chairman of the Working Group on Skills and Technology Development of the BRICS Business Council, took part in the closing ceremony and awarding of the winners and prize-winners of the competition.
New victories: Kupala residents conquer international competitions
The IV International Art Festival "Musical star of Slovenia - 2024" was held from January 3 to 4. The International Foreign Festival was attended by residents of the CIS countries and the European Union.

The folk choir "Vesnyanka" of the Humanitarian College of Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno became the winner of the first degree of the International Festival of Arts "The International Festival of Arts/ "Musical star of Slovenia" in the nomination "choral groups".
At the competition, the creative team presented the composition "Storm" (music by Alina Bezenson, words by Alina Legostaeva).
The festival-competition is aimed at expanding cooperation between educational and cultural institutions, exchanging experience in the field of culture and education, as well as promoting the cultural values of the country through concerts and exhibitions. Participation in such competitions promotes cultural growth and the identification of talented youth.

Law students are among the winners and prize-winners of the International Olympiad
Students of the Law Faculty of the Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno under the guidance of the head of the Department of International Law Lilia Abramchik became winners and prize-winners of the IV International Student Internet Olympiad "Electoral systems of the world".
The IV International Internet Olympiad "Electoral Systems of the World", organized by the International Institute for Monitoring the Development of Democracy of the IPA CIS, the Saratov State Law Academy and the International Center for Scientific Information, was held from September 15 to October 30, 2023. It was attended by 2,476 students from 172 higher educational institutions.
According to the results of the Internet Olympiad, the organizing committee and the international jury determined the winners, which were 122 students from higher educational institutions of the CIS countries who scored 90 or more points. Among them is Daniil Elagin, a 2nd year student of the specialty "Jurisprudence" at Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno. 178 students, who scored from 75 to 89 points inclusive, were announced as winners. Among them are 2nd year students of the specialty "Jurisprudence" Artem Sivak and Angelina Makarenko.

An atmospheric literary evening was held at the Faculty of Philology.
On Saturday, December 23, as part of the implementation of the Commonwealth project, Belarusian and foreign students of Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno took part in the poetry evening "Reading Belarusian Poets".
The poems of Belarusian classics Yanka Kupala, Yakub Kolas, Maxim Bogdanovich were translated into Russian and performed by students from Turkmenistan, Congo, China, and Uzbekistan.
Foreign students were imbued with a special feeling of love for Belarusian lyrics and tried to read the works of Belarusian poets with exceptional expressiveness.
Alexander Shkeda, a 1st year student of the Faculty of History, Communication and Tourism, presented interesting facts from the biography and creativity of writers in his creative presentation.
The students' speeches were prepared under the guidance of teachers of the Department of Russian Philology Inna Bubnovich, Irina Chepikova, Galina Mazko.

In the remote round of the I International Student Olympiad in the field of Economics, profile "Accounting, analysis and Audit", the 4th year students of the specialty "Finance and Credit" of Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno won prizes.
The Olympiad was organized by the Institute of Economics of Kazan State Agrarian University.
Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno residents have a high level of knowledge in the field of accounting, analysis and auditing. They demonstrated a rational approach to solving complex problems, showing that in the modern world of economics, not only numeracy skills are needed, but also a deep understanding of economic processes and an analytical mindset.
So, the first place was won by Ekaterina Ezepchik, Angelina Karachenko, Daria Oleshkevich, Yana Tolochko. Their interest in economics and their desire to achieve the ideals of scientific knowledge testify to the high personal qualities and skills that they have developed during their studies. Nadezhda Otter took the third place. The awarding of the winners took place on December 20 at the Council of the Faculty of Economics and Management of the Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno.
The VIII National stage of the International Cadet Olympiad in Military History has started at Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno
The Olympiad will be held from December 19 to 22 at the Military Faculty of the Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno. 8 teams will compete for the title of the best. The event is dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the strategic offensive operation of the Armed Forces of the USSR "BAGRATION", which was held from June 13 to August 19, 1944 against the Nazi invaders. The result of the operation was the defeat of Army Group Center, the final liberation of the territory of the Belarusian SSR, the Lithuanian SSR, and part of the territory of Poland.
Alexander Karevsky, First Vice-rector of the Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno, greeted the participants of the intellectual competition. He noted the important role of the Olympiad in preserving historical memory and wished the participants good luck.
The Olympiad consists of two rounds: a military-historical battle and a captain's competition. The participants of the Olympiad will compete in the performance of competitive tasks in the following thematic categories: "Military chronicle: autumn 1943 – spring 1944", "On the eve of the liberation of Belarus", "There was a people's war...", "Operation Bagration" the main stages (the course of hostilities), "Operation Bagration – the triumph of Soviet military art", "Their feat will inspire forever".

The winning team of the National Stage of Military History will take part in the final stage of the VIII International Cadet Olympiad from April 7 to 12, 2024 in Brest on the basis of the Brest Hero Fortress Memorial Complex.
Kupalovets took part in the international conference
Valentina Esina, a social teacher of the 1st category of the socio-pedagogical and psychological service, took part in the first international scientific and practical conference "The Children's Movement as a social institution of education: history, theory, practice, prospects", which was held in St. Petersburg.
The conference was aimed at scientific and socio-professional discussion of the issues of education of the younger generation in Russia and abroad, attracting the scientific community to study the process of formation and development of the children's movement as a social institution of public and state education. The event brought together participants from 11 countries: Russia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Belarus, Indonesia, Algeria, Morocco, South Africa and Austria. More than 500 people took part in the conference in person and more than 1,000 in online format.
Within the framework of the conference, plenary sessions and sections were held on the topics of trends and prospects of the children's and youth movement, state support for youth and social movements and initiatives, patriotic education of youth and many others.
Valentina Esina was a speaker at the section "Practices of formation of prosocial activity of children and youth: citizenship, patriotism, volunteerism". The event was held simultaneously at several venues: at the Presidential Library, Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University, GBNOU "Academy of Talents", GBOU "Academic Gymnasium No. 56 named after M. B. Pildes", as well as at the St. Petersburg Academy of Postgraduate Pedagogical Education named after K. D. Ushinsky.
International Conference in SAFU: current problems and prospects for the development of physical culture and sports
On December 7 and 8, the Northern (Arctic) Federal University hosted the All-Russian Scientific Conference with international participation "Modern problems and prospects for the development of physical culture and sports", dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the training of specialists in the field of physical culture and sports in the Arkhangelsk region. Teachers of the Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno made presentations.
The conference discussed topical issues of the development of physical culture and sports in modern society. Scientists, specialists and practitioners from various regions of Russia and Belarus presented their research and projects related to various aspects of physical culture and sports.
Teachers of the Northern (Arctic) Federal University made a significant contribution to the work of the conference. They presented reports on such topics as innovative approaches in physical education and sports, the use of modern technologies in the training process, as well as problems and prospects for the development of the sports industry in the modern world.
The participation of Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno teachers in the conference allowed them to share their experience and knowledge with colleagues from other universities and organizations. So, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Theory of Physical Culture and Sports Medicine of the Faculty of Physical Culture Lusine Kharazyan told and showed a video about the development and application of an electronic manual for physical education lessons. This manual facilitates the work of a physical education teacher: the movements are shown as reference, the children watch, repeat, and at this time the teacher can pay attention to each student and individually work out the movement technique.
The All-Russian scientific conference with international participation "Modern problems and prospects for the development of physical culture and sports" was a successful platform for discussing topical issues and finding new ways to develop this field. The conference participants were able to share their experiences, learn about the latest scientific research and projects, and discuss opportunities for cooperation.
International Student Round Table: Digital Law and Consumer Protection
On December 7, Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno hosted the VI International student practice-oriented round table on the topic "Consumer rights and their protection using digital law tools".
The event brought together more than 200 participants from Belarus and Russia – teachers, graduate students, undergraduates and students of the Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno, the Moscow City University of Management of the Government of Moscow named after Yu.M. Luzhkov, Yaroslav the Wise Novgorod State University, the Russian Customs Academy, Tambov State University G.R. Derzhavin, Ural State University of Economics, Moscow State University named after M. V. Lomonosov.
The work of the conference is structured in two directions – the presentation of plenary reports and sectional studies. The participants discussed topical issues of consumer protection in the digital age. They exchanged experience and knowledge, and also identified vectors for further cooperation in order to improve legislation in the field of consumer protection.
– We are very pleased to see such a great interest of students and experts in discussing consumer protection issues. Our goal is not only to provide the forum participants with new knowledge, but also to jointly develop constructive recommendations for improving legislation in this area. We hope that the results of this round table will be useful for the development of digital law and increasing the level of consumer protection not only in our countries, but also on a global scale," said Igor Martynenko, Professor, Doctor of Law, Head of the Department of Civil Law and Procedure at Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno.
The invited guest – Professor of the Department of Civil Law of Lomonosov Moscow State University, Doctor of Law, Professor Andrey Sherstobitov stressed that knowledge of the law in the era of digitalization and development of marketplaces helps to avoid fraud and receive compensation in case of violation of consumer rights by sellers and service providers.
The event is also aimed at strengthening international cooperation in the field of consumer protection and promotes the development of digital law as a tool for protecting the interests of consumers in Belarus and Russia.
